This short novella was confusing, it felt I should have read a book prior to this to follow along. I also couldn’t understand the storyline between Serenity and Devon because the synopsis is nowhere near what happened.

Devon didn’t reject Serenity so o don’t know why she acted like he did. They were both betrayed by Serenity’s selfish boss, Clotho, the youngest goddess of the Fates. Devon was deceived by Clotho and walked right past the real Serenity, but did Serenity stop him or chase her mate down? Nope, she just let him walk away. Devon didn’t even see her because he was still reeling from the fact that fake Serenity (aka Clotho in disguise) rejected him.

The storyline just felt off to me and no one noticed Clotho’s strange behavior or lack of work? Then of course we have a cliffhanger ending that adds more questions to an already confusing plot.

Why does Clotho hate Devon and his brothers so much? Why didn’t Clotho’s sisters notice that their fated mates’ weren’t meeting up? Also, is Serenity immortal or not? She says she is during the earthquake and then states she’s not when talking to Devon.

I would like more answers, but I don’t think I will finish the series.

Dragons Fate

Let me start by saying I gave this short a four star because it is a cliffhanger. I would have offered a five star otherwise. Devon and Serenity are fated, but one of the fates is messing with them. Is this finally their time to come together, or will fate intervene once again? I really enjoy dragon shifter stories and this one hasn't disappointed so far. I am off to read book two now!

Not happy as hate cliff hangers and hate them even more if had no idea that there was one. Will finish the story but very disgruntled and has really turned me off this writer. This was first one I’ve read and not a great beginning.

cliffhanger

Besides ending in cliffhanger the book is super short. It only takes about an hour to read. There are some editing errors as well.

Clotho, the youngest fate, promised Devon a fated mate as his reward for saving her from death. However, her sister Lachesis, the middle fate wanted Serenity to do all her work for her so she could live the life of luxury. So she did every thing to get in between Serenity and Devon.

After the roof collapsed at the original hotel for the fairy godmother convention. Serenity's fairy godmother and Clotho moved the convention to Devon Drake's hotel. Where he sees Serenity for the second time. After talking they realized that Lachesis was involved with their failed meeting the first time. And they were drawn together like moths to a fire.

Did Devon and Serenity complete the mating bond? And what is Lachesis going to do to keep them apart?

I really liked this story with the fairy godmother theme. And I can't wait to see what trouble is brewing for the fate sisters, the fairy godmother's, and Serenity and Devon. It's quite a fantastical story!

Five stars.
