Elle is back but everything has changed. Banished from Grimm, sent to Never, and not told why or even what she's supposed to do there, all she knows is that nothing is the same. Crowley's been bonded with an ancient evil and they still don't know why or what that might mean for his future. Hatter is just as lost about their banishment as she is. The only thing they know is that they're now wardens to two of the most notorious criminals Grimm has ever known, Hook and the Sea Hag. Why? That's the riddle Elle is desperate to solve. Thankfully Never is an uninhabited island. Or so she thought, until the bodies started to show up and Elle's worst fears is that the killer can only be one of them, but who?

2,5 stars. I didn't really like the ending and i'm disappointed. It was anticlimactic and it wasn't what i was expecting from this series. From the middle until the end of the book the story went downhill. It was a clusterfuck after another clusterfuck . But i liked the previous books of the story and the whole journey of the characters.
Note: I received an advanced review copy in exchange for my honest review.
First of all, let me get this off my chest: YES!! MORE GRIMM FILES. Phew. Okay, now to get serious - I've finished the book and while it's obvious I gave this book 4 stars...It's simply as great as the last books were. It's not a quick and easy-quick & read kind of book. There's a great plot, and twists & turns.
Avoiding spoilers, which in all honest I'm struggling with because the book was great. The characters continue to be complex, like an onion with more layers and secrets to uncover. New twists in our story which is always to be expected by the author keeps the story interesting after every chapter.
I love the weirdness and yet comfort of the characters, I love that bad doesn't mean evil - but evil is evil. haha. If you've read the previous Grimm Files books - continue with this one. It won't disappoint. Fans of the author, get your hands on this series. Start in book 1 and quickly get to this one.
I really loved the book, the series is so unique - worth a read for any paranormal romance fans.
I would have rated this book higher if the grammar, spelling, and names were double checked. It seemed as if proofreading this book didn't happen, yet the other 4 books in this series had no complaints from me about it.
Ignoring my comment above, this story was excellent! The banishment from Grimm to Never alongside the betrayal by their Captain, Elle, Maddox, and Crowley never had a chance. That is until the Sea Hag, Elle's mother, steps in to prepare her daughter to fight back with powerful magic, then she might have a chance to stop the prophesy and still have a chance to save her mates and her babies.
This book was everything we could have asked for! Beginning, middle and end it never disappoints. It was well worth the wait! A perfect wrap up to an already beyond stellar series! Be sure to read the entire series, I know this will be a book I will re-read for many many years to come!
First off, this book was the conclusion I never knew I wanted. Even the sea hag was redeemed a tad for me. To both love and hate the characters, while still almost wishing they would meet an end that suited them. Fairy tales are never what they seem and this whole series does that sentiment justice.
Wow, what an ending to the series. I wish it had been a longer series because I absolutely loved these characters and their adventures, and I'm sad that I won't have more of them. But not on not was that an amazing wrap up for them. I will definitely be rereading more by Selene Charles in the future! I absolutely recommend this series!
This book is a great ending to the series(or not) and I feel like I have gotten to know the characters very well. I love the character development in all the books and how they all interact well with others even those not of the main storyline. I can't wait to read what you have planned next!
I love fantasy and fair tales. This was such a great mix of all of my favorites. Such great ways to intertwine all the fantasy literature into a love story. Though it's so much more then a love story. It's a series of redemption and strength. I hope to see more. For now I have the first 5 books.
I started this book not knowing it's the final book. This book is well written, I just wanted more from it. I'm trying not to give spoilers. After all Elle has gone through, just expected more of her in this final book. Loved this series!
This book was FULL of errors in grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Other than that, it was an enjoyable read. One of my favorite authors, but she needs a better proofreader.
I have read all the books in this series , and this finale did not disappoint. This is the darkest, most twisted version of Wonderland/ fairytale characters, but the dark themes hold your interest like no other. It's a happy, slightly creepy ending for sure!
A really enjoyable final book in this interesting series. Once again, I enjoyed reading about the exploits of Elle, Maddox and Edward. Still, the minor inconsistencies were annoying.
I loved this series. I will reread again for sure. Highly recommend this book for anyone who loves romance, characters we already know but now from a different perspective. I like this perspective for sure!
If the series end after this book for good then I am fine with that because author brought me full circle and answered all the burning question I had thru the other four books. Best series ever and the reverse harem is so seamless.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I loved this series and I the ending did not disappoint. I can't wait to see what the author does next. There needs to be some serious grammar checks and corrections throughout the book but it only slowed me down a little and overall the book is just amazing.
Books one and two were excellent. Great characters. Fast read. Book three was good not as good as the first two. Book four was passable. The last book was terrible. Had to speed read it was so boring and filled with a lot of unnecessary nonsense. Thank goodness this series is done.
What a whirlwind this series has been! I'm gonna miss these characters and this world. Keeping my fingers crossed that there will be some short stories in the future based on the twins.
This book was amazing. The twists and turns that the characters went on were amazing. I'm so glad I read the first book. I was hooked. Read all 5 in a week.
I can’t find this book anywhere to buy....but says it was released February 7,2021 :( I’ve read all the others up to this one. I do hope it’s not on hold indefinitely. That would be sad. Very sad :(
I love this genre, And this particular series, is probably my favourite. the combination of Alice stories and Grimm fairy Tales work really well together.
