I enjoyed both of these stories very much. I originally bought it, because I try to read everything that Sharon Sala writes. Familiar Stranger was so very good, but then I actually found myself reading that extra book by Rita Herron. I was most definitely surprised how easy it was to get into her story. It is so much like the romance mysteries that I choose to read. I highly recommend both of these authors and their books.
Familiar Stranger is a familiar success from Sharon Sala, well crafted and written with action and balance and believable characters. The follow on book suffers from less skilfully handled plot and character interaction. The ending is Ok but needed more strength. Felt sort of like the author just ran out of steam!!
When reading Sharon Sala I do not skim. Unfortunately with this book I did. I kept checking to see how many more pages there were left to read.
Jonah (David) knew better than to expose Cara before he finished with Frank. I am no spy, but that just seems to be common sense. He was just too sure that he was right. Of course it all turned out okay as this is fiction with a happily ever after, but just no.
I did not read the bonus story as I was only interested in the Sala book.
4 Stars might be generous, but I did enjoy both stories. Sharon Sala follows her usual plot and suspense. The second story by another author feeds my need for amnesia stories. The characters were interesting, and the plot was good. I may have found a new author for me. I will at least read another book or two.
