This is sooo good, my heart, my soul! I can't get enough of the cuteness. And Luca is so fucking hot, like, smoking hawt! Love the diversity. We do not usually get a lot like this on manga. My only problem is Makoto being too small. Like, he's cute and all, but he just doesn't look so teen to me 😭 like half Luca's size is too ridiculous, but whatever. My champ Makoto is such a lewd, lewd boy though. You wouldn't even believe the extras. The guy's literally licking the phone. I swear, if that didn't make me giggle like a mad woman! Overall, I enjoyed this so much!

Cultural stereotypes are systematically floated then deflated in this enjoyable (albeit explicit) story of young love. Makoto is a short, cute, animal loving high school student in Tokyo; Luca is a tall, beautiful, and fun loving exchange student from Niarobi who comes to live with Makoto’s family. This BL follows the “he’s so cute he could be a girl, which is why I’m going gay for him” formula; a tired, retrograde gender trope, but it works in this story. In fact, Luca thinks Makoto is a girl at first, but the boys quickly clear that hurdle.
The art is generally strong. The artist makes the most of drawing Luca’s long body, and is also adept at the body language of affection between Luca and Makoto: observe how the couples’ hands touch, caress, and enfold each other, or how limbs entwine, and I think you’ll be fully convinced of their love for each other. The only reservation I have is that the artist makes Makoto seem prepubescent. I know that’s a trope in BL, but it’s one that needs to be left to history.
I purchased the manga (via CDJapan, if I recall) and read an online translation. I found it strange that this manga was tagged on the scanlation site as “wholesome.” In a way it is - the boys love and commitment to each other are clear. But if you associate wholesome with “no explicit sex,” well, be prepared. Little is left to the imagination (no pun on Makoto’s stature intended).

This was a very short and sweet story about an interracial couple exploring what love means to each other. Makato is a tiny, adorable, and innocent animal lover whose family opens their home to an exchange student from Kenya, Luca, a 'giant' guy with a lovable and bubbly personality.
This story is only a handful of chapters long, and the story went from 0-100 in the very first chapter. I was wondering how they would fit a short romance story within a 6 or so chapters, but my goodness, they had a love confession in the first chapter and even a sexual scene! It moved at an extremely fast pace for my liking. The characters had chemistry, sure, but it felt like I'd skipped the part where they actually got to know each other before deciding to be intimate with one another and declaring feelings. It felt a little unrealistic but I went with the flow, determined to see it through to the end as I really liked both characters.
I loved the premise of two people from different parts of the world coming together, appreciating each other's cultures in an encouraging way, which they pulled off quite well, and how they explored liking one another despite being the same sex, as in Luca's country, it's illegal for same-sex couples to be together, and I assumed that Makato has never felt anything for a guy before either. It was also very funny at times, as Makato is hilariously innocent and a complete cinnamon roll.
It's a quick read, and after the smut that seems to pop out of nowhere without any build-up, there are plenty of heart-warming scenes, and I did end up rooting for them to stay together.

Wn, qué puedo decir de este manga…
Empezando que es lindo, en el sentido de cómo es su relación y SOBRETODO el dibujo. Por la chita como amo las parejas tiernas, mucho tsundere cansa.

Momentos como por ejemplo uno de los chicos se puso triste al saber que este se iría pronto por lo que al pensarlo mucho le confesó, en el mejor escenario posible que fue en un festival con fuegos artificiales, que estudiaría una carrera que le permitiría poder vivir en la ciudad natal del otro chico. AH QUE LINDO! Y además de te situaciones donde son dibujados tiernos y sobretodo el más bajo.
Es lindo y todo perooo también muy hormonal y es por esa razón que le bajo una estrella sjjsjs (re exigente shiaa) pero es que soy de las personas que primero háganse citas o conózcanse antes de darle a cajón que no cierra. Eso de que el chico solo se quedaría unos días se lo tomaron muy enserio pero nada lindo y todo.

La temática no está sobreexplotada, pero con demasiados parecido a Mother´s Spirit, lo que en si, no lo vuelve una historia novedosa.
A diferencia de la historia que menciona, esta no posee un gran desarrollo de personajes o de personalidades o habilidades dentro de la historia, por lo que, en si, resulta vacía o limitada por la relación física.
Aunque el dibujo es bello, cae en demasiados clichés, incluyendo el instalove, lo que lo vuelve un poco aburrido al final del día, limitando la historia solo a sexo

La verdad que muy bonita historia uwu. Como muestran a los personajes re inocentes, vuelve a la historia muy adorable y fácil de digerir. Si buscas algo tranquilo con algo de smut, esto te va a gustar. Ya que la historia es simple, aunque los protagonistas se enamoran rápido eso sí, pero también depende de cada quien. Makoto es la verdad, un personaje muy bueno, es cómico y adorable y tan ocurrente, no sé como explicarlo. Uwu

Un BL que recorda a Mother's spirit pel xoc cultural entre Japó i una tribu africana, però aquest cop protagonitzat per un parell d'adolescents que encara van a l'institut. No té tant de rerefons sobre les diferències, ja que el masai parla japonès i ha estat vivint en altres parts del món. Les il·lustracions són molt cuquis, però a més hi ha un instalove poc creïble. Final feliç, força rodó i satisfactori.

quería saber más sobre las culturas y su dinámica como pareja, pero para mí el que sea todo sexo, es una mierda. hay escenas bonitas, si pero ¿Y que? no hay desarrollo de personaje, y el que estén teniendo sexo a cada rato simplemente lo hace aburridisimo y que la historia sea plana.

Es tan bonito. Aquí no hay un villano como tal, es una bonita historia de dos personas de distintas culturas, Makoto es muy inocente y Luca bastante osado. Normalmente no me gusta el instalove, pero aquí me gana, la ternura de los personajes, las diferencias, LAS BELLAS MEJILLAS DE MAKOTO. 🌠🥺👌

Es un 4.5 en realidad, todo es tan bonito y dulce en la historia, me encanta mucho. Lo único malo es que el romance se da demasiado rápido y se siente sacado muy de la nada, pero de ahí todo es precioso.

Si la historia se hubiera tomado el tiempo para algunas cosas, podría haber sido de los favoritos de este año. En fin, todo muy tierno y sin lugar a dudas los voy a extrañar.
