My Experiments with Meditation : Not Really a Dummy’s Guide

Rate this book
The Coronavirus pandemic is causing a historic and unprecedented rise in mental crises, across the world. Fear, worry, stress, anxiety, burnout are words that have entered our daily vocabulary. The bad news is that it will not get better – stress and anxiety are here to stay. The good news is that we can handle it more positively, by practicing meditation. Meditation is much more than “blanking” your mind. There will always remain some thoughts, some emotions “zip-lining” across your mind! Meditation helps us to be aware of them “passing”, and then to just let them “pass”. The book helps to explain what meditation is, how it can be done, and what the benefits are – in a very simplistic and interesting style, interspersed with various graphic illustrations, as well as the personal experiences of the author, which have been shared quite openly! It is a book with various new concepts and “experiments”, which will appeal to a newcomer in the world of meditation, as well as to the experienced ones. It is a book that will make you think first, and then help control your thinking! It is a book that will change your relationship with your own self, with the world, and with your partner for sure!

Brilliantly written book. The concepts of meditation is described in a very simple but powerful manner. The personal experiences are quite tempting to the reader to go ahead and try it. The book has got me to begin with mediation with short duration and I am loving it. Strongly recommended read. The book is definitely going to change lives for the ones looking to start on it.
