Lazy Dungeon Master #2

Lazy Dungeon Master, Volume 2

Rate this book
My name's Keima Masuda and I, having been summoned into another world and made into a Dungeon Master, decided to build things according to my ultimate plan of not working at all. My dungeon's gotten pretty big thanks to that duel, but it's not big enough for me to sleep peacefully yet! My next plan is to build an inn right next to the dungeon. That way, I'll get two sources of income at once! This inn will be my key to victory! But just when things were going according to plan, my expanding dungeon collides with a neighboring dungeon. I thought I wouldn't have to deal with annoying neighbors in another word! This is volume two of my own kind of dungeon story. Indeed, everything is so I can live without having to work.

Kept me on the edge. Love the craftyness of battle. Descriptions are what I picture in color illustrations. Now on to the third chapter. Hope to see another added to the heram .

Having dealt with the bandits and proven his worth, Keima proceeds with his plan for a lazy future. First he is going to build an inn at the entrance of Rokuko's dungeon and then he can sit back and relax, reaping in the dps from both the guests of the inn and the adventurers exploring the dungeon. With his golem spell apparently being a bit of a cheat, building the inn is easy, but running one and loud neighbours make things a bit more of a challenge.

Much like volume 1, volume 2 is a light-hearted entertaining story about building a dungeon with as little cost as possible and outwitting opponents. It is also good in that the MC does not succeed it in everything. The characters and world are a bit flat, but likeable and the interactions entertaining even though some of the jokes are a bit grinchy (especially some of the character flaws taken into a bit an extreme). The role of slavery is a bit odd, although typical for the genre: debt slaves with quiet some rights and at least in case of legal slavery non of the abuse such a system entails especially with the collars magically enforcing ownership. It fits the light heartedness of the story, but it feels odd and unnecessary. The prologue was a bit confusing as well, starting sometime in the future and then starting in chapter 1 were volume 1 ended.

In the end, as expected, it is a nice story for when you don't want to use your brain with slavery and (non-sexual) harem antics that are not for everybody.

In this book 2, Keima, main character and "Dungeon Master" decides to increase his incomes (agriculture, commerce and hotel service) at and around the Inn. This diversity in the business structure of the "Dungeon" provides for more income from each and every "adventurer" that visits the "Dungeon".
This is actually a good "Dungeon management and strategy" Light novel series. The main character is extremely lazy, so, if one as a reader can get beyond the "sloth", it is quite a good "manual of Dungeonology" in an isekai (won in a gacha machine to another world)...
Keima adds one more "slave" Ichika a "glutton/foodie" to the employees of the Inn, Dungeon, enterprise...They add volcanic Hot Baths, a restaurant and super hotel services at really economical prices.

It is getting better, but still not there yet. In this volume a lot happens. They get a new group member. I personally like her a lot. She really adds flavor to the story. I was trying to classify the story. So far I feel it is a slice of life with a dash of fantasy and isekai. I hope it keeps improving.

While reading this book I would at times feel that if it just kept going on forever I’ll gladly keep reading it for the rest of my life. It is in many ways the perfect light novel.

Keima keeps running his magical dungeon and managing its limited resources. He also builds an inn to profit from visiting adventurers, wishing to challenge his dungeon. This book is at times exciting but for the most part, it just chronicles Keima’s daily life in a fantasy world very reminiscent of a video game. It’s all very pleasant, the details of his dungeon management are interesting and the characters he surrounds himself with are all fun and cute.

We the dungeon master guy made an inn then got a new slave girl to staff it. Then after trying to drill a tunnel through the mountain he got into a dungeon battle with dungeon core 112. He won the battle. ... oh yeah the dungeon master guy is better with magic than most humans in that world according to his new slave which was a rank-C adventurer thing before she went into debt and got sold off as a slave.
