Escape: A Post-Apocalyptic Survival Thriller

Rate this book
Something is clawing at your front door, trying to get in! Don’t call for help. Nobody will hear you. London is at a standstill, buried beneath snow. But this is no ordinary snow. As Justin Davenant is about to discover…

London is a war zone – on one side are the Survivors. On the other side are the Infected – bloodthirsty, subhuman creatures that stalk through the eerily silent streets in search of victims.

In this third book of The Exodus Plague, London is at the epicentre of the global pandemic that has brought the world to its knees. A small band of people gather together in an effort to escape.

Not all of them will survive.

Interesting and raw

The third installation of this series... a significant amount of plot development in every book in an amazingly short, but effective amount of words. Interspersed with connections to the prior books, you get a complete sense of the picture of these characters lives, while left hungering for an epic reunion. I do hope this is not the last. I want an idyllic ending, even if it may be more realistic and true for there not to be.

Very much enjoyed what I have read so far! Easy and quick reads, but pack a punch.

Each book gets better.

I have reviewed the first book in this series but not the second.
The author explains that he self publishes and therefore needs reviews to help put him out there into the public eye. This is his third in the series and in my opinion it definitely deserves a great review. The writing gets better in each book, the characters are memorable, most are likeable, the actual plot differs from most post apocalyptic books and what I liked most about the first book, remains the same in the subsequent books, not tons of unjustified cruelty and violence for the hell of it. The books offer optimism for humankind as a good species, I often don’t care about their survival in other books, in fact I would rather see an end to the species due to the cruelty and callousness of humans in them. I want to see a good conclusion in these ones because the majority are good people so far.

In the frozen wastelands of a post-apocalyptic UK, a new group of survivors attempt to escape the city of London. As they search for safety and meaning in the chaos, danger lurks in every shadow—both from the infected and those who claim to be in control.
This was a good continuation of the series that expanded the world and deepened the mystery. I appreciated the fresh perspective, and while the shift away from Jonathan and the original group took a bit of adjusting to, it made sense for the direction of the story. That said, I do hope we revisit their journey again in the future.
The atmosphere remains consistently tense and unsettling, with that signature creeping dread Collingbourne does well. There’s also the growing sense of something more sinister unfolding behind the scenes—an underlying conspiracy that adds another layer of intrigue.
All in all, it’s a solid instalment that kept me engaged and has me curious to see where things go next.

After reading the other two books I started this one expecting the aftermath of book twos climax but no it’s opened up to a new group!! At first I was annoyed until I got halfway through the book and it then made sense (so stick with it!!) I’ve really enjoyed this trilogy so far and hope there will be more as there are still unanswered questions and I need to know!!! But honestly if you are looking for a new read and are not too sure grab them they are great reads

Exodus Plague book 3

Brilliant, I really hope there will be a book 4.
Having read the 3 books so far. I have enjoyed, the travels of the survivors, these books are fun as well as being apocalyptic.
I’ve said previously. It’s more fun than Duck and cover. Though still as exciting.

Interesting finale or maybe not

I've enjoyed reading about justin and his journey. As with book 1 some great one liners which brought a slight comical side to the story rather than all doom and gloom. Lots of suspense and speculation from the characters. Who is in charge and running the country, and The Colonel let's not forget him, who is he????

Darker

This third book is darker than the previous two but don't let that put you off.
The mystery of the sickness & how the army seems to have been prepared before it struck deepens. What is Project Exodus? Will Jonathan make his way back to Cornwall. And who are the old men who seem to know so much? Can't wait till the next book.

Another Great Read

The different characters all have there own ways of coping in the new reality. The Author tells their stories with a mixture of humour and horror. I've read the first 3 books and am now starting number 4. I hope there are more books to follow.

A great read

A great book from another British author. Like the 12 series by Benjamin Holly, it’s full of places fellow Brits may recognise and paints a picture in one’s mind.
Just about to download the final book.

Favourite so far

Quite possibly the one I enjoyed the most out of this series so far . Not sure why it just held my interest more and found it to be a better storyline

This was great

I have enjoyed this series immensely - no extreme scenarios - no dead rising or impossible escapes. To be honest - this is how things could go - just a reset. Looking forward to the next book in this series.
