Man this book turned extra brutal real quick. Caught me all the way off guard. I wasn’t ready. Lol. The race to the extraction point just took a turn for the worse. Things are looking real bleak now.
Once again, phenomenal art. I can't say enough about how much I absolutely LOVE the LOOK of this series. The storyline however had me very confused. I'm honestly not sure what happened. I read half of it then doubled checked that it was book 2 and I didn't miss one. Then I reread book 1 before finishing it. And I still feel so lost. And not lost in the "mystery yet to be revealed" way. Just...what is happening. When did these characters become someone important? I feel like I missed a bonding experience between characters. Like why are they this close? What is happening? And one character is gone just...way too soon. And I feel like the connection between book 1 and book 2 was lost with him.
