To be reincarnated into another world with the promise of a "cheat" power is one thing... but to be reborn as a baby, and then left for dead after your royal parents think you're powerless?? That's another thing entirely! Now the newly-born Reinhardt—or Haruto to his new friends—must find his way through a dangerous world...but luckily he's got magic that's quite literally off the charts!
How is he nine years??? He looks 15 or 16... So weird. But an interesting Manga, really like the action and him helping his family and discovering his magic. If only he knew what his actual number is. 😂 I am happy that Charlotte warmed up to him a bit. Flay was my fav! Such a fab character! Pretty nice art!
A pretty decent start to a new isekai manga for me. It’s definitely a little ridiculous so far (with a ridiculously overpowered MC), but the art style is adorable and the story is pretty fun so far.
Charlotte/Char (the younger sister) is one I think could quickly become a favourite of mine too, so I’m hoping she’s going to be a main character overall for the series c:
Chapter notes below for personal reference (potentially spoiler heavy):
Not too excited about this one, seems very standard and meh to me. I might try vol 2, just cause I have it, but this story is pretty forgettable thus far and the MC is SUCH a gary stu.
I mostly dislike this as a not-funny version of Chillin’ in Another World with Level 2 Super Cheat Powers, since Hart has NO ambitions other than to use his promised ridiculously strong abilities* to become a shut-in in his new life. He also has the exact same "Fenrir becomes a hot lady who's madly devoted to him" companion!
*The goddess—and it's ALWAYS been a goddess except in ONE (no wait, TWO) of the "deity reincarnates the main character" stories—reincarnates Hart and promises he will have "overpowered skills" before quickly sending him on his way without any sort of negotiation in the matter.
Another OP-isekai-NEET filled with cliches. Haruto has ridiculous powers but the tester can only read 2 digits of his 1002 points (77 is the highest human score so far). Rather than read the first 2 digits, it only reads 02. For some insane reason the king and queen think it’s a better idea to pretend he was stillborn rather than admit to having such a weak child. I mean, I’d think they’d have to explain where the body is, but maybe no one will ask the king questions like that…?
For a shut in, Haruto is very active…I don’t understand why Charlotte is afraid of him considering they were raised together, it’s not like she met him now and felt his aura. Why is she the only one that can feel it? How is he related to the adopted dad, and how did he know where he’d been abandoned?
The artwork needs work. Proportions are off and he does not look at all like a 9 year old. I also find it very odd that his adopted dad would wait until he’s 9 to even start training. Luckily he has unlimited barrier magic, and his bazillion barriers can do basically anything, even things that aren’t very barrier like. And yet he thinks he’s weak…? Lacking an affinity to an element means he can use all of them - isn’t that better??

Isekai anime has been a fairly popular genre for a bit now and the over powered hero of the tale is common enough so I was not surprised to see a down and out a hikikomori suddenly being offered a chance to be reborn into a new world with incredible power (see mana) to rival anyone else. The catch, yes there is one, is the people in this new world do not have a means to read magical power beyond the second digit so when they test him it only shows 02 instead of 1002 and he is cast off as a burden to his original family when it seems he is pathetically so weak even though they were royals.
Along the way misunderstandings keep popping up as the reincarnated Haruto continues to learn how to use his generic but varied magical powers, makes allies, and finds a reason to not give into the slothfulness that consumed the end times of his last life.
This just another copy and paste JP manga of an average guy in Japan dieing from and getting the OP treat ment from a goddess then we get the Radom moment of misunderstanding that leads to the MC hiding his powers. The story overall was just a repeater of hundreds of other stories coming out of Japan then we get the illustration art work that was show money saving has faces are done to the lowest point of being a person of manga qualityly that I just felt a total waste of time getting threw this mangas
I saw the first anime episode on Crunchyroll that piqued my interest and bought 7 volumes available on Kindle very please with what I am reading right now and hopefully get an idea what to expect in the anime
Is always cool reading manga and anime no woke garbage and preaching woke agenda crap, I recommend everyone who likes comics to turn to manga DC and Marvel just tiring no fun comics
Miserally enjoy the anime so I thought it explore the manga. The manga makes a few small choice differences, maybe it's a translation thing, but it makes it a little bit more adult than the anime. Not a lot though, nothing to change the ratings about. So far it's just as enjoyable as the anime was. The story hasn't developed very far though, this volume ends with the failed attempted kidnapping.
No deep plot at all and the author knows it it's just plain old isekai fun and doesn't try to be more than that not a bad thing as long as you know you're not enough to read the next Shield Hero going in
Another middle age man gets isekai reincarnated and is now an overpowered teen entry. Mistaken for being a magical dunce for having a power level of 02/02 (but it's a truncation error), he's disowned and left for dead as an infant only to be taken in and raised by a noble family.
Fast forward to adolescence and he's started learning about his special barrier magic and devising how to lead a lazy shut-in existence, cue antagonists appearing. Overall, it has a humorous tone with a few angsty bits when it comes to his birth parents and their machinations, but is largely free of romance, perving, or waifu gacha. The anime goes up to around vol 5.
This is technically a re-read as its a series I read a few chapters of online, although I vaugly remember it beings it was so long ago. But it's been a good read so far!
