Initiated by a Himalayan Yogi (ascetic) with a beej (Vedic seed) mantra (prayer or chant), two years later a university student wakes up in the night to find his mind connecting with far off people and places. Perplexed and scared, he finds not only his intuition getting stronger with every passing day but also some weird prophetic voices descending from the universe into his brain. His life changes permanently into a ceaseless seeking of the mysteries of the mind, meditation, and monks. Many Himalayan Masters miraculously appear on the way guiding him through different stages. Observing his own mind in regular meditation for almost two decades, he witnesses layers of his mind gradually falling apart until the day when the mind no longer remains and a new zone of deep silence dawns. This journey eventually culminates at the feet of an ageless Master. Other books of the 1) 'The Alliance without A Post Cold War History of West' 2) 'The UPSC Daring to Dream an IAS Officer'
life changing book, how to be consistent once you set a target, one can understand what is dedication through this book and spirituality with practicality especially for this modern world.
A few days back, while I was scrolling on Facebook, Amazon showed me an Ad of a book titled "The Himalayan Master and the Sixth sense", The introduction of the book created immense interest and I ordered the book. Within four days, the book arrived. The cover was attractive, Paper was okay and the printing is good too. I started reading the book immediately and was amazed to see how captivating the book was. Even though I had previously read the books in this genre being a Yog Sadhak and an individual with very high interest in spiritual texts, the way this book gratified my soul is wondrous.
This is a story of a spiritual seeker, *Dr Priyabhishek Sharma and his real-life experiences of his journey on a spiritual path after accidentally being initiated by a SHAKT Himalayan Saint with a BEEJ-MANTRA* 🙏🙏 Dr Priyabhishek Sharma has a PhD in political science and is currently working as an Associate professor at Himachal Pradesh University.
In this book, He straightforwardly states his experiences, with no exaggeration, no bombarding of theoretical verses from scriptures here and there, no Updesham by considering himself a superior one. He kept it simple and described the events he experienced as they happened. The presentation is very lucid, crystal clear and immediately creates a great interest in his story in the minds of the readers. His way of sharing details such as the exact dates, photographs of the various places he visited and the images of the great saints who guided him leaves no doubt regarding the authenticity of the text.
Though every chapter and each experience leaves goosebumps on the whole body, chapters like "Meeting with a Himalayan yogi", "Initial days of Meditation", "Question paper in Dream", "Prophecy coming true", "A Divine Call", are astounding. Especially the last two chapters, "The Mystic sounds" and "The Climax-Grace of The Master", are simply stunning. The book is so fluent that the reader becomes deeply involved in it as if it is he who is experiencing the Grace of the Divine. *Throughout the book, Author's humbleness, total surrender to the Divine Mother, and a reverential attitude towards Saints and Great masters he met are palpable*
I must congratulate Dr Priyabhishek Ji for publishing such a fantastic Book which will serve as a milestone for any sincere spiritual seeker in his Meditational journey. I will rank it in lines of previous bestsellers like "Towards the silver crest of the Himalayas" by GK Pradhan, "An autobiography of a yogi" by Paramhans Yogananda, "ln the company of Himalayan saints" by Swami Ram and "Apprenticed to a Himalayan Master: A Yogi's Autobiography" by Sri M.
Every spiritual seeker must buy a copy of this book and go through it. It will make us Meditation-Worthy. Those who are not on the spiritual path but are just enthusiastic readers should also buy one as it is so potent to sow a spiritual seed in everyone who is going through it.
*I very much forsee making of a MAHA YOGI, MAHA GURU in Dr Priyabhishek Ji*. 🙏 On closing line, I hereby urge him to start a nationwide Meditation training campaign like Mahesh Yogi Ji for the sincere seekers who are eager to follow in his path.
Fantastic book to be kept alongside the spirituality classics like 'The Autobiography of a Yogi', Living with the Himalayan Masters, Apprenticed to a Himlayan Master, Journey Home , If Truth Be Told. A meeting with a Himalyan Master who gave the young auther a beej mantra to meditate changed his life. Spiritual experiences related to the sixth sense mentioned by the author are unbelievable unless you slight background of the process of yogic sciences. The beauty of this book lies in the approach of a yoga-meditation-novice reading in the universities, taking on the civil services exam telling how meditation changed his inner psyche. It a story of the spiritual quest of you and me going on with excitements and pitfalls in the mundane existence. The quote 'there are no accidents on the spiritual path' recurring often is so powerful authenticated by his life showing some saint miraculously appearing when the author faces some difficulty. As an author, Priyabhishek Sharma's beauty lies in his ability to speak a language of a common individual. You feel so intimately connected with the narrative style that it feels as if it's the reader with whom all things are happening. His message style in non direct with the reader gauging it from the story. The prescriptive and moralistic tone is avoided. Moreover, some books give you knowledge, some hope and a reason to live life. This book belongs to the second category. A must read if you have read and enjoyed above mentioned books.
Story of a college going, university residing student, busy with his civil service preparation falling back into meditation on an accidental meeting with a Naga Sadhu. Two seeming irreconcilable fields have been wonderfully reconciled by this autobiographical account by Dr Priyabhishek. Unlike the Autobiography of a Yogi or Living with the Himalayan Masters or Apprenticed to a Himalayan Master, this book connected more with the life of non monk seeker of spirituality like me. His interpretation of the incredulous sixth sense experiences with para psychological explanations make the story look true. The craft of the book is simple, bereft of verbosity, flowing seamlessly till the end. At times, it looks it would have been better had he offered some textual commentaries to support the bewildering experiences he was having, but then a novice meditator’s excitement would have perhaps lost, derailing the delight and suspense that hooks the reader till the end
This books highlights quest of new age seekers who aren't designed to be free and have to work hard , get lost , regain n find the purpose eventually. In the current world where ocult is seen as someone wasting his time , In between struggle of work n family one must lit the light of hope n hard work. I offer my pranam to the writer that u r a light to people like us. If mother divine appears to u , plz offer my prayers to her. Their are many with burning desire to find her grace. Hope we all find her like u did.
At a juncture when the spiritual journey is viewed with fair degree of scepticism, this amazingly honest account by Priyabhishek Ji would reinforce the faith of current generation in pursuing their cultural and spiritual values. I am sure this book would soon be referred by many co-travellers on this path.
One of the breezy readings. This autobiographical venture has everything to know about the spiritual sojourn, the pitfalls, experience, gains, and the ways, rather approaches. Nice one
