Danger. Suspense. A story that keeps you on the edge of your seat. A book that keeps you up all night reading because you just have to see what happens next...

It's what we're all looking for. The type of book that reaches out, grabs you and doesn't let go. Oh, it has its drawbacks. Nothing gets done. No cooking, no cleaning, no laundry. People call your name and you don't even respond. But it's worth it. Because you've found another place. Another world. And just for a little while, you're part of it.

I'm Cat Gilbert, and I write the Taylor Morrison Psychic Thrillers and the Molly McMurray Mysteries. In both series I try to give you, the reader, that experience. Characters you can connect with, a gripping plot chock full of action, danger, and enough twists and turns that even I have a hard time keeping up.

The The Taylor Morrison series centers around Taylor Morrison, a private investigator whose life is turned upside down when she suddenly develops psychic abilities. We're not talking X-Men, comic book, mutant type stuff here. Instead, this is the kind of thing you've always wondered about. Or at least I have. The idea that maybe we aren't utilizing our brains to their fullest. That maybe if we tried hard enough, we could do stuff and if we could, what sort of ramifications that would have.

The Molly McMurray Mysteries is a new series. The main character is, of course, Molly McMurray. There's a psychic 'twist' to this series as well, and his name is Kaegan. Who he is, and the role he plays, I'll leave to you to discover.

Having moved over 32 times, Cat Gilbert now makes her home in Arkansas with her husband and their dog, Clancy. When she's not writing, she spends her time trying to figure out a way to keep the deer from eating her blackberries and fig trees, experimenting with new Paleo recipes, and attempting to convince Clancy that playtime has to wait until she finishes the chapter.

Twisty turns

Family and love wins overall. Taylor is out through the ringer in the book with her best friend missing, betrayed by some close colleagues, many trips where teammates are hurt and she faces the death of a few people of extreme importance to her. The emotions and relationships of the whole team has developed a lot and it was great seeing the family dynamic of Connor, Jenny and Abby, the sibling dynamic of the teams, the chemistry and love of Taylor, Mac,and Lars, Mama D in general and even the President! The ending had me crying and then smiling as the ending was a perfect blend of making everything right for that moment. I look forward to the next book and hope for more of Nickolas and Matthew.

This series is very good, seems each book a bit better than the last. The characters are gelling as a unit, each with distinct personalities with both good and bad traits. I was skeptical at the beginning of this series and now glad it continued reading am enjoying the books, a good escape series.

Looking for more

Starting with volume 4 was clearly not a good idea, but I quickly became engrossed and simply enjoyed it. Great flow of action and appealing characters. Now to catch up on what I missed.

PI Taylor can’t believe the people she’s protecting have vanished. Where can they be. Totally intriguing, loved every bit.

This series just keeps on getting more intense! I love the newly introduced characters and the growing responsibility of Taylor. I think Taylor needs to fight less with her team and start being a full team.
