Love You Forever #6

The F It List

Rate this book
It started when my hot-as-hell coworker offered to give me my first O.
Let me back-up.
It actually started when I got dumped at the altar.

If I have to see one more sympathetic head tilt from someone asking me how I’m holding up…I might lose it.

After some serious self-reflection (and momentarily swearing off men forever) I decided the only way to figure out what I want in life is to make a list.
My F It List—A journey to self-discovery and kicking ass!

But when Grayson AKA, temptation wrapped in a three-piece-suit, offers to help me cross a few items off the list my plan goes a little…off the rails.

Teach me golf? Yes, please.
Go camping? Sure!
Kiss me in the rain? I would have said no but the moment his soft, full lips melted against mine the word ceased to exist.

So here I am trying to keep myself in the friend zone, but with each new memory we make, I feel myself falling and I’m not sure I want to be caught.

One thing that wasn’t on my list?
Having Grayson’s baby.
Knocking out the big O,
Just turned in to getting knocked up.

Being dumped on her wedding day leaves Cora Robinson heartbroken. But after moping around and doing some serious life reflection, she decides no more. Creating a My F It List to self discovery. In the process of making the list, she encounters the help of Grayson a co-worker from work, along the way.

Grayson is everything you want in a man. Hot, sexy, sweet, kind, caring and loving. He also happens to have a crush on Cora, since meeting her at work. And having seen her My F It List he sees it as his opening of getting close to her.

Throughout the story, we see Cora and Grayson not only become closer friends, but their friendship blossom into love. The way Grayson treated Cora was just so sweet and swoon worthy. Doing anything and everything for her and making sure she was always happy. Honestly he treated her as a queen and you couldn’t help but sigh and swoon from it.

All in all this book was funny, sweet, hot, steamy, romantic and adorable all mixed together.
So if you’re looking for something like this, that also happens to be light, fluffy and cheesy with a guarantee HEA. Then look no further because this book from Alexis Winter is the way to go. Especially if you have already read any of the previous Love You Forever series books.

This was a good read. In the last book Cora was left at the altar. She is now trying to move on and Grayson helps her. He was just supposed to help her cross things off her list but soon they both have fallen in love. The good news is that in the end they get their happy ending.

First of all, 4.5 stars....I couldn't indicate 4.5 on the "My rating" emblem.

Beginning of the story was really good. Really set up that good read feeling of expectation and interest. The realization by Grayson of “the list” Cora wrote was great and in the second chapter, his thoughts about Cora was great. So sweet and his opinion about how her love life was with her ex-fiancé’ was great.

The way Grayson is attacking Cora’s list is epic! The pace at which the first part of the story is going is crazy. Grayson showing up in the break room every day, their back and forth communication about her list, and then finally the date….so much fun! Seriously falling in love with this couple just as friends; with interactions so sweet and kind and loving, the book is fantastic to give this combination friend and couple dynamic in such a special way.

Chapters 6 and 7 were wonderful. I don’t have many books where I really, really, really like the female character. I typically “really” like my girls in most of my stories (notice, just one “really”!), but there is always a little bit of something that irritates me with my girls. But not Cora; its been fun already in this book to experience her good nature and personal ideology about friendship and respect. Especially as it relates to her relationship to Grayson and the importance of keeping it good and a vital part of her life. Her past relationship lends to feelings of empathy for her, but her new outlook on life and living is refreshing. Alexis created a fun and quirky character that one would find likable and deserving of a good guy and a happy life. I loved Harley from “Accidental Forever” in the same way.

The dialogue between these two characters is just amazing and fun for me. Chapters 8 and 9 as they discuss what they continue to “explore” during the camping trip and Cora decides she wants to be a little in control is great. Grayson’s patience and input with her as she does things for the first time is so sweet and “crave worthy”! I choose one chapter after the other as my favorite and then I read the next one and it becomes my favorite. Grayson showing up at Cora’s apartment and texting her that he was outside of her door gave me goose bumps and I was totally done when he whispered to her that he couldn’t stop thinking about her. Don’t even get me going about their first trip to the gym for him to train her for running a 5K.

The way Cora transformed, related to how she was previously described as being, into a girl who was not afraid or shy about going after certain desires, was surprising. It was fun to read and nice to read, but still a little surprising. I absolutely loved reading about their enjoyment of each other and the descriptions were just hot.

Now, I have to say that in "Accidental Forever", also by Alexis Winter, I loved Harley and Foster’s story a bit better than Cora’s and Grayson’s, but not by much. I absolutely loved the writing in this story just as I did in the other story and I’m so glad to have a “Cora story”. So happy with these two books by Alexis. On a personal note, I am in the midst of a somewhat cordial and friendly relationship ending and I’m now giving this "F" It List scenario some thought! Can’t wait for more from you, Alexis 

The F*** It List is the sixth book in the Love You Forever Series by Alexis Winter. The story is written in dual POV and can be read as a complete stand alone complete with HEA. Although it is a stand alone, Cora is a returning character from the fifth book in the series, My Accidental Forever, as well as Foster and Harley.

Cora was left at the alter and is now trying to restart her life and figure out who she really is outside of a relationship. Grayson is one of Cora's co-workers, and while they don't really work together in the same department they have always had a fun friendship. Grayson has always had a bit of a crush on Cora but never acted on it because she was in a relationship, so when her wedding never happens and he finds Cora making a list of things she wants to do to find true self, he finally sees his opportunity to push their friendship out of the workplace and into their normal lives, and just maybe they could turn that friendship into a little something more.

I have been a fan of many of Alexis' books and especially of this particular series- but The F*** It List is by far my favorite book that I have read from this author. It's not a super long book- and while many books that are on the shorter side can feel like the story is rushed or components are missing, this book didn't feel like anything was missing or glossed over. Cora is such a sweet character. She is kind and has that subtle strength that is slowly revealed under her layers of doubt and the changes she has forced herself to do while in a relationship. But Grayson is one of the most amazing, kind hearted and swoon-worthy characters I have ever read. He is so patient and understanding and helps Cora build herself up while simply being there to catch her if she needs it. He knows all the right things to say and do, he's respectful but also has a protectiveness and alpha side and while he could be a total player if he wanted to be- he's the guy that wants a relationship and connection. Then Cora and Grayson put together is absolutely amazing and they have such a spark that there are many swoony, kindle melting scenes that you will not want to put down!

Blessings in Disguise

You know how sometimes things happen that seem like the worst possible disaster, only to discover that it was actually a blessing in disguise? Well, that’s what this book is about.

Cora was left standing at the altar by her fiancé Jimmy. She was mortified and worried about what people might be saying about her. But she also realized that she had given up too much of herself in an attempt to keep not only Jimmy, but all of her boyfriends happy. After reaching that conclusion, she decided to start a list of all the things she’d like to do, calling that list the same as the title of this book. One of the things on her list was to have an orgasm.

She’s writing the list in the break room at the company where she works when her work friend, Grayson, comes in. He takes the list from her and when he sees the last item, he tells Cora he can help her mark things off her list. What Cora didn’t know was that Grayson was attracted to her from the first day he met her several years earlier. Now, he has to make her see that and fall for him as well. So he starts planning how he’s going to help Cora do everything she’s ever wanted to do, including satisfy the last item on the list!

This was a fun book to read. The characters were very well developed and their thoughts were enjoyable to read. Of course, there have to be some interactions with Cora’s ex. And interactions with Cora’s best friend, Harley, and her husband, Foster. But for the most part, the book is about Cora and Grayson and their developing relationship. If you want to read a great romance, then I highly recommend this book. Ms. Winters did a super job writing this fascinating story.

This had a sweet storyline. Cora, after being left at the altar on the day of her wedding is left heartbroken and self-doubting. She makes a list of things she'd like to do that she's never done before in order to try and find herself and what she wants before entering a relationship. Enter Grayson, the guy who has liked her for four years since he first laid eyes on her, and the guy she's also had a crush on before. He's a sweet, caring and thoughtful guy who does everything to make her happy. The whole time they are dating but neither are brave enough to actually confess to the other their real feelings, and they simply go with 'whatever this is'. It drags on for months to the point I want to hit them both on the head for being dense... But at the same time I'm glad the author allowed them time to grow from a work friendship to real friends and to something more rather than rushing it over a few days..

Also, it should have come as no surprise that she got pregnant, the amount of times they had sex and there was no mention of condoms, and it annoys me to no end when people reckon the pull out method actually works!!

Another thing I had a problem with was the drinking, followed by driving.. e.g. 'drunk' or 'buzzed' enough for karaoke, then get in the car and drive home.. No! Just no!

This story has no real conflict. Usually too much drama makes me angry that the main characters just can't catch a break so I thought I'd enjoy the sweet, no-conflict storyline.. but I think I've been brainwashed and I think a bit of conflict would have made this story a bit more interesting.

Very Entertaining Romance Story

Cora's devastated when her fiance didn't show up for their wedding. After a period of revelation, she picks up the pieces & creates a list for herself of new things she'd love to achieve & do something for herself. Grayson, has been waiting patiently on the sidelines watching & listening to her daily life experiences. They work for the same company but in different departments & he always happens to be on her floor, hoping to meet her in the coffee room. When he prompts her to open up on the list she's working on, he offers to be with her & help her achieve everything that's on this list. With encouragement, she's finding Grayson is her rock & sees him in a new light. She's been treating him as a confidante friend at work but while working on her list, there's a shift in her feelings.

A really good light-hearted romance novel that will melt your heart. It's so entertaining in that she has some outrageous scary things she wants to try for the first time & even though Grayson is petrified of doing these activities with her, he stays by her side & outwardly portrays himself as the strong fearless man.

Alexis Winter has the knack of writing the type of stories that keep you turning the pages, keep you smiling at the silliness the characters go through & in the end they manage to get a HEA. Well-worth reading this novel. Thumbs up! You'll love it!

I received a free ARC copy in exchange for my honest review. This is my own opinion and was not influenced by anyone.

The F*** It List by Alexis Winter held my attention from the beginning through to the last word. Cora was recently ditched at the altar and finally decided she wanted to move on and be happy. Partly to help but partly as a joke she makes of list of things she wants to do to find herself, the real Cora. Grayson works at the same company as Cora and has had a long time crush on her. Happy she is finally single, he makes his plan as how to woo her. Stumbling upon her list he formulates a plan. Since she sees him as a friend he will help her mark things off her list. Thus getting to spend lots of time with Cora.

Cora has always changed to be like whoever she was dating and it took the broken engagement to make her see the light. It took Grayson teaching her to go for what she wants rather than sitting back passively for whatever she is given.

The story was well written. The chemistry between the characters was unmistakable. Gray is a true gentleman in giving her time to figure things out without pressure even though it was killing him. Cora becomes a real force when she figures herself out. Together they make a whole without sacrificing the parts. Love it! Fast read that kept a smile on my face and ends happily for our couple.

⚓⚓ONE INCREDIBLE FUN-FILLED TREAT⚓⚓
Simmering shivers scooby! Alexis does it up right with this incredibly fun-filled tilt-her-world, diving off the deep end and churning an edy of tantalizing facts, titillating choices and scintillating lessons, launching this sweet treat to staggering heights. Escapades and serendipity descend in a tempest of tangled maneuvers and scorching strategy, broken molds and sketchy lines solidify as limitations are expanded and exploited, baring intimate struggles and combustible triumphs while attentive as the dramatic twists and wicked turns unfold, showcasing the impish quirks and defying bents, wrapping this jewel up sleek, shiny and tight. The attraction and chemistry ignites with such intoxicating intensity exposing the explosive emotions and infinite affection, drawing our characters closer, binding them together beautifully. The characters, interactions and charged atmosphere along with relatable qualities and individual traits add depth and diversity, transforming into amazing personalities. The scenes are abundantly descriptive with colorful details that blend and flow, creating a majestic backdrop that's so rich and lively it feels as though you're part of the story instead of on the sidelines, feeling everything the characters feel. Fantastic job Alexis, thanks for sharing this little jewel with us.

Cora's F*** It list was brilliant and was an engaging hook to the story. Grayson had liked her from afar for a few years and the list gave him a way for them to get to know each other while letting her find out who she wanted to be. I loved how Cora was finally able to do not only identify what she wanted to do but was able to accomplish the things on her list. It took a lot of bravery and determination on her part and there wasn't anything she couldn't accomplish with Grayson in her corner. Grayson was extremely supportive and only wanted what was best for Cora. It would have been great if the two of them were able to discuss their feelings for each other earlier but it worked out for them just the same.

I was cheering for Cora during her marathon and she found, as I did when I did marathons, that the mental part was just as important if not more so than the physical training. It's definitely a great time to think because you've got plenty of time out there. I enjoyed having Harley and Foster make an appearance in the book. They still feel like family having read their book prior to this one. I'd really like an extended epilogue covering these couples sent well into the future.

4 Stars! A sweet and sexy read!

Cora - after she gets dumped at the altar, Cora realises she's fed up trying to please everybody else and so decides to make a f*** it list, where she lists down all things she wants to do for herself. Including get her first big-O. When work friend Grayson sees her list he instantly offers to help check them off. But he's just doing it as her friend, right? What happens when the friendship line gets crossed? And how will they cope when it looks like 2 is about to become 3...?

Grayson - he's always had a thing for Cora, but as she had a fiancé, he never acted on it. Whilst trying to comfort her, he spots her f*** it list, where his eyes are instantly drawn to the one item she really didn't want him to see. Finally he has a chance to help his friend, and make her realise he wants so much more with her than friendship. He's such a sweet, yet sexy guy, who'll do anything to get the girl he wants.

Very low angst, yet high heat factor! I knocked a star off, as there didn't seem to be much drama/conflict towards the end like there usually is in romance novels. But it was still an enjoyable read, with very likeable characters. I look forward to the next instalment in the Love You Forever series.

No cheating. No cliff-hanger. HEA guaranteed.

The F It List is the sixth book in the Love You Forever Series but can be read as a standalone. This book features Cora and Grayson who work in the same building. After being left at the alter, Cora decides to try and find herself. She writes a list of things she wants to try and while having lunch Grayson reads this list and offers to help her work through it. Grayson has a crush on Cora but never acted on it before because she was in a relationship and uses helping with this list to spend more time with Cora, to peruse a relationship outside of work. While working through the list they both realise there's feelings there but neither are sure what to do about it.

I have loved this series so far, but I think this is one of my favourites. I loved the characters, Cora doubts herself alot and it's great to see her come out of herself. She is a really sweet girl.
Grayson is wow, he is kind and considerate. I love how he helps Cora and together they make a fantastic pairing with great chemistry. I didn't want it to end. Loved it.

Cora finally gets HEA! After being left at the alter, Cora decides to go on a journey to self-discovery. What better way to get things done, than to make a list and check it off! What she didn't count on was her hot co-worker (who she may have been crushing on since meeting him, but is also WAY out of her league) snatches her list and is determined to help her with All of it!

Grayson is the hot guy at work, but he has only had eyes for one girl. Unfortunately, she has always been in a relationship and he had to keep his distance...until now. But now, she is getting through being left at the alter. He still wants her, but doesn't want to push too hard. So he decides to help her and become her friend.

Co-workers to work friends. Work friends to friends. Friends to friends with benefits...but can their relationship last? Will Cora find herself by working through her F-it list? Will Grayson finally get his girl? Really enjoyed getting Cora's story and so happy with the way it worked out! Can't wait for Bianca!

Getting dumped at the altar is the best thing that ever happened to Cora! After a period of self-pity and depression, Cora decides it is time for a change in her life. She makes a list of items she wants to do or see and sets out to cross those items off her list. When her hot and sexy colleague Grayson offers his assistance, Cora is at first reluctant, but then accepts his offer. As they move forward on working through her list, Cora finds it very difficult to keep things platonic with Grayson. Little does she know that he has been smitten with her since their first meeting and he sees this as his chance to get know know her better and hopefully claim her heart. He sees he fiasco at the altar to be a nod from Fate. Their chemistry is magical, and soon enough they find themselves giving into their need for each other. Working on her list also leads to an unexpected surprise. How does their story end? You will have to read this charming and delightful romance to find out.

Such a fantastic book! I really really enjoyed it!
Grayson has had a thing for Cora, a girl he works with for two years. Cora just got stood up at the altar and was looking at her life, and decided to make a list of things she has always wanted to do, and Grayson offers to help her with that.
This started off as a fun, get to know you thing between them and turned into a slow build romance pretty quickly. I loved the dynamic between Cora and Grayson. He was so kind, happy and patient with her while loving her the whole time. She just thought he was helping with the list and that was all, that he didn't like hey that way. Oh how wrong she was.
This was so well written, and I loved the addition of Harley and Foster and not to mention Chuck. But the attention, love and romance Grayson gives to Cora really is the story and brings the story to life.
I really can't express significantly what a fantastic story this is.

Cora is left at the altar on her wedding day. As she tries to recover, she comes up with a list of things to accomplish that she's never done before. Grayson is her friend at work and they've each had little crushes on each other for years. He offers to help her with the list.

Cora was annoying at times. She had some self esteem issues but he constant doubts and worrying about Grayson's motives got old. She thought he only wanted to help as a friend and possibly out of pity, even though he told her he liked her.

Some of the things she's never done were a little unbelievable. Like she's never been on top during sex or given a man oral (although these technically weren't on her list) yet she's been in relationships, even engaged.

Cora and Grayson work through the list. They start having sex and there's never any mention of condoms or birth control, so no surprise when she gets pregnant. There's no real conflict between Cora and Grayson. They admit they love each other. She admits she's pregnant. Everyone is happy.

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

I am so glad we got Cora's story, because she was going through an emotional rollercoaster in Harley's story. I love that she got the chance to learn about herself. She figured out her wants and needs and put herself first instead of changing her true self to make a significant other happy. That is how it is supposed to be, and I'm glad Grayson was there for her journey to make sure she was happy and content with her life.

Grayson is so patient and loving. He has always been attracted to Cora, but since she was already taken, he wasn't going to get in her way of a happily ever after with another man. Many people would butt themselves in the middle and cause a lot of drama, but not Grayson, which I admire.

I'm glad I got the chance to read this novel and I'm looking forward to more by this author.

It's been a week or so since Cora was left at the altar by her soon-to-be husband. Quite rightly she has allowed herself time to wallow in self-pity, but now id the time to pick herself up, dust herself down and get on with her life. After thinking about all her past relationships she realises that she has changed herself to match/meet that guys expectations and likes/dislikes. Now it's time to be herself and accomplish things she has never done before.

Greyson has been friends with Cora since they started working at the same company two years ago. A long-held crush on his part, he has stood by her side through thick and thin. Spotting her in the break room writing he asks what she is doing. A F*** IT list of things she wants to try/do etc. He manages to take a look at the list and alongside golf, camping etc. is have an orgasm. He is shocked to discover that nobody has ever given her one. Offering to help with the list they start with golf and have great fun together.

Whilst Greyson is gorgeous he is completely out of her league but she loves spending time with him. Crossing off lots of things on her list, but can she let him help cross off the more personal things on there? What happens when the line is crossed. Are they ready for the repercussions?

Cora was left on her wedding day by her fiance, she decides to do things for herself instead of changing herself to fit her relationships and comes up with an F it list of things she's never done and is committed to doing. Her colleague Grayson catches her writing the list and offers to help her complete it.
Little does Cora know, Grayson has fancied her since they first met, but wasn't able to do anything about it while she was with her ex. Now she's single again he's going to do all he can to be with her including helping her with a particular item on her F it List. Unknown to Grayson, Cora also fancies him but isn't sure if she wants another relationship so soon after her fiance left her on their wedding day.
Will they be able to complete the list together and work out their feelings for each other or will they remain friends forever?

*Spoilers*

I thoroughly enjoyed reading The F*** It List, just like many of Alexis Winter's other novels. The storyline between Grayson and Cora was sweet. Grayson, a coworker of Cora was willing to wait for his chance with Cora. When this jilted bride who was left at the alter returned back to work, Grayson makes his move. And through finding Cora's list, he was able to accomplish spending a lot more time with Cora and knocking off many first for her.
As Grayson and Cora spend almost every minute of the day together, Cora discovers that Grayson is the one for her but she can't handle telling him after what happened with her and men before. On top of that she finds herself pregnant.
Every woman wishes for a "Grayson" in their lives. Someone who would do just about anything in the world for her and her happiness.

When Cora is dumped on her wedding day she is heartbroken but she moves on. She does a list she calls the F It List that is supposed to be about her doing things she has always wanted to do but never did. When Grayson a c0-worker friend sees her list he wants to help her with it. Grayson has always had feelings for Cora and he can't understand why her ex would leave her. However he isn't going to let his chance to be with her go so he steps up to help her with her list and set about winning her heart all the while doing it. Sparks fly between them as they work together on things on her list. Soon their friendship turn into something more. Can Grayson convince Cora to take a chance on him? Can they be together?

This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Cora is left at the altar, and after a period of mourning what might have been, she begins on a voyage of self-discovery. Cora formulates a list of the things she wants to do, writing them in a journal while in the break room at work. She is caught in the act by Grayson, a work "friend", who unbeknownst to Cora has always had a thing for her, but as she was always attached has kept his distance. Grayson offers his services to help Cora complete her list, and she after some hesitation agrees.

As they work their way down the list Cora and Grayson's feelings for one another grow, but is it because of the list or is there something more to their attachment?

This is a wonderful friends to lovers story, with plenty of steam and a fabulous HEA. While this is part of a series, it can easily be read as a standalone novel.

I received this book as an ARC from the author, and am happy to leave a review for this book

Boooooring!!!! Sorry, skimmed loads to get to the end.

Having read some of the reviews about this book, I thought I’d try it. Sadly I was wrong. I usually love this writer but i couldn’t get into this at all. It sounds really romantic, she’s heartbroken after being left at the alter. She makes a list of things she wants to do in her life and Grayson reads it. He’s secretly had a crush on her since they started working together. But she was in a relationship. Four years later he sees the list and tells her he’ll help her to do them. As they start going through the list they fall in love. But instead of telling each other that they want a relationship, neither of them dares! So most of the book is about them dating but not actually saying they are! It’s weird!! And endless!!! I started skimming through it to just get to the end!! Sorry but the worst book of this author I’ve read. Shame.

Fun happy story

Such a lighthearted fun read

Cora was jolted at the alter and part of getting herself back on her feet was creating her list of things she wanted to do to get her back to feeling “her”. Grayson was more than happy to help her out with this list which included the big O. He’d harboured a crush for her even before she got with the guy who ditched her. And here we read about all the adventures they get up to whilst falling head over heels for each other.

Was such a nice fun lighthearted story. I loved reading about everything they got up to and the sex was HOT!! I loved reading about them getting their happily ever after together. I totally gelled with Cora because she represents a lot of the female insecurities. Not knowing if your good enough, wondering what the other person feels, feeling worries to put yourself out there.
Was a lovely story with no dramatics

Review Scheduled to go live on blog on June 2nd @ Naomi’s Reading Palace

I haven't read anything by Alexis Winter before and I stumbled across this read and was excited to dive into this world! It sounded like so much fun and I couldn't wait to see Cora fall for Grayson.

It was so much fun watching Cora and Grayson tackle the items on her F It list. Some things were simple, but others were going to be complicated, and over time the lines blurred for Cora and Grayson. I liked that Grayson was patient, and didn't push Cora too much since her last failed relationship. She was a little insecure and wanted to find herself, and in previous relationships she wasn't treated that well.

This turned out to be a sweet read, as I watched Cora and Grayson's friendship turn into something deeper. It wasn't as action packed as I hoped and there wasn't a lot of conflict throughout the story, but it was still a charming romance.

This story can be enjoyed as a stand-alone even though there is some character overlap. I loved seeing Harley and Foster again and catching glimpses of their relationship.

Grayson is perfection. He like Cora for two years before he really even got a chance to be real friends. Readers could see his true feelings from the start and get the satisfaction of watching Cora realize her own.

Even though they were not technically a couple for like 80% of the book their relationship always seemed organic and comfortable. They meshed together even without labels or defining what they were. We see Grayson's patience and Cora's determination.

That's not to say they didn't encounter any hurdles on their journey. They could have saved some time by just being more open with one another.

Being left at the alter is not something anyone wants but it does happen. Well this time it is for the better. She looks at her past relationships when she realizes that she has not been true to herself. So she gets to work one day and makes a list she can do and check off as it all gets done. In comes a co-worker that has been crushing on her since he first saw her. He sees the list and offers help with it. She accepts his help for most of the list but there are a few personal things she is not too sure about. Would she be willing to let it happen to let him into her personal life? Can he slowly win her heart more than just as a co-worker turned friend? Lets get a look at what happens and what is actually partly on the list. Maybe we all need to do this and see where it takes us?
