Her Pleasure is book six in the multicultural fiction Mistress series by Niobia Bryant. I haven’t read the other books in the series, but this one reads well as a standalone.
Jaime Pine knows what it feels like to be betrayed. She never thought that the shoe would be on the other foot.
If Niobia Bryant set out to shock her readers, she succeeded. These characters are scandalous, but well-developed and vibrantly depicted. The plot is compelling and twists upon itself in unexpected ways. There is some explicit content, but it’s appropriate for the storyline. Her Pleasure is a story you won’t soon forget. I truly enjoyed this novel. I give it 4 out of 5 enthusiastic stars (deducted one star for over dramatic character behavior) and recommend it to all readers of dramatic adult fiction.

Her Pleasure follows the love triangle between Jamie, Luc, and Graham. A trip to Grenada, an old fling, an oops baby, this book had it all. It was literally one drama scene after another.
This was my first time reading this authors work and I like her writing style. The scandal, the steamy sex scenes, and the character’s raw emotions.. She did a good job. However, Jamie was not my favorite character. I couldn’t get past some of the antics and the constant back and forth with the two male characters. The author did such a great job with her Character development and storyline that I had to continue read to see how it ended. Graham and Loc really seemed like decent men. They were tangled in Jamie’s web, something serious.
The story is an easy read. At times I did get lost on which character was speaking and it ended really quickly. Lots of curveballs. That is why I am giving the rating of three stars.
If you are looking for a good book with twists, scandals, and hot scenes- this is it. The book does include miscarriage.

I put this book down weeks ago after starting. I usually love Niobia Bryant. I love this particular series. But this one didn't hold my interest at first.
I'm used to the steamy scene Niobia writes. They're cool. But, this one had a lot of steamy scenes without great dialogue or development at first.
Jamie is a character from Niobia's "Mistress" series. I'm hoping she follows up with books from Aria and Renee's pov's as well. This series started out over a decade ago. What drew me in was how well written and suspenseful it was. The sex scenes blended it because there was balance.
Jamie isn't super likable at first. She never was. But as I read on, the book got better and she actually grew on me. Because the character grew.
Not a huge fan of her and Graham together? Not sure why. I'm sure I'm in the minority.
The ending was a neat bow but not without some heartache before it.

This book was 🥵 🔥! It is the first book I read like this and it had me like 🙊90% of the time! The writing style was great and when I say the author used detail I mean it! Despite being graphic it was very real and I can appreciate that.
The story line was well written and Jaime’s ( the main character) development was good. The family and friends dynamics were well executed throughout the story. I was not expecting it to end the way it did but I was so invested in the characters I am glad it ended that way (but boy did Jaime really make things complicated when there was no need to).

A beautiful love story (spoiler alert)
This is probably one of my favorite in the series. I am a sucker for redemption! I believe in in forgiveness and people evolving and changing. True love forgives and overcomes.
Ms. Bryant did a good job developing the story between Jaime, Graham and Luc. It is possible to love two people at once or are we just simply lying to ourselves indulging in our selfishness???? I love how she developed and bought full resolve to the issue.
The story was very believable to me because closure is needed in order to move on and develop another relationship. Jaime &. Graham never got to say good-by or honestly resolve their feelings. I am very pleased Jaime didn’t repeat the “sins” of her mother. It takes courage to choose yourself when you have lived so long to please other people.

Pleasure for sure!! This book definitely keeps you wanting more and on the edge of your seat wanting to know what's next. At first I missed the character Jessa Bell from this series, and I was worried the other characters wouldn't be able to carry a storyline. But oh yesssss it was still EVERYTHING. Well written storyline, and amazing to see how all characters had growth. Chapters 15 and 16 had me SCREAMING for dear life. This was a great ending to this series wrap up. 5 stars across the board from me, and I truly recommend you purchasing this book. It was also easy to follow if you hadn't done the prior books in the series as well.

This book was full of drama, drama and more drama and it's name is Jamie! Being that this is part of a series, the author did a great job of giving backstory to bring those of us unfamiliar with the characters up to speed. At times the plot felt jumbled and Jamie irked my nerves but the heat from those steamy scenes was enough to keep me reading. This is a perfect beach or vacation read that I zoomed through as it kept my attention. I would definitely read more from Niobia Bryant.

Finally I think it's over and what a story it was, the lies, betrayal and heart break was all here! I liked how it concluded I think, I don't know if there is another part but I'd definitely read it if it was!

I received an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley and am voluntarily posting a review.
This book was a mess, but I kind of expected it would be from the blurb. Part of me really loved the execution of the really soapy tropes, even if they leaned heavily into some typical hard nopes, like accidental pregnancy and infidelity. While I did feel I was missing some of the greater nuance by jumping into a later book in the series, I still enjoyed it overall. The characters aren’t ones you’re always going to like, but you understand them and they feel believable in the soap opera/dramatic context of the narrative.
I did have beef with the ending, though, and the way the “baby” plotline was resolved to make way for Jaime making her choice. It just felt cavalier, like she couldn’t have a partner and a baby, especially if the man she chose wasn’t the bio father. (CW: miscarriage)
I more or less enjoyed this, but found the way it used a sensitive issue to quickly resolve a plot thread to be very insensitive, especially given the overall tone of the book.

Based on the synopsis, I thought the story would have involved more of the friend that betrayed Jamie and the other girls, but it honestly didn't come into play at all. Things felt rushed to me, which made the storyline not flow as well as it could, but I did enjoy the characters. Both Luc and Graham sound like some pretty fine men! Although things were muddled for a while, partly because of Jamie, I think the story ended in a good place. I appreciated the character developments and the author did a good job providing foundational backgrounds to help the story along.

Although I didn't realize this book was part of a series when I requested it, it reads as a standalone. This book was hot and exciting . I was invested in the characters from beginning to end. There were surprises and It didn't go the way i thought it would have gone. The author did such a great job with the characters in this story, I am going to go back and make sure I get caught up with the rest of the series.

This book was very interesting. The story had me guessing what was going to happen next. I was able to predict some events in the end of the story. This was a juicy read. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Jaime finally steps into her own in this final piece of the series. She no longer cares what others think, not her mama, nor her best friends. She just wants peace.
Graham has learned his worth and is now a fully matured man.
Renee and Aria have evolved from the past as well.
I love how this series wrapped and I can't really write what I want without giving hints and revealing outcomes. Curse you Niobia, lol.
Let's just say unconditional love is something most never experience outside of their blood family but bonds grown, and cultivated; despite time and circumstance can be nurtured, maintained and restored with work.
Graham has learned his worth and is now a fully matured man.
Renee and Aria have evolved from the past as well.
I love how this series wrapped and I can't really write what I want without giving hints and revealing outcomes. Curse you Niobia, lol.

1. This was a good palate cleanser before I start my next read
2. A short & fun read(I learn more towards longer books but this was nice

4. I wish the characters & plot were fleshed out more.
5.The spicy/steamy scenes were well written. However, it was too much. The spicy scenes overshadowed the plot, & not in a good way.
6. It was filled with a few awkward sentences that made me cringe.
7. I didn't like the main character, & couldn't really connect with the other characters

This was a nice wrap up, but Jamie annoyed me this whole book. She knew exactly what Jessa Bell put her through and she went out and cheated. Not in the same way of plotting against anyone, but you knew the hurt that was going to come down in this new relationship. It was like they didnt learn from the past. Even Renee was doing her dirt behind her new husband’s back. You cant judge Jessa if you living in that same glass house. Tsk tsk..

Since reading books by this author, I have grown to like them a great deal, but this book really made me struggle to completely read it. It really did not hold my interest as did the one before this one.
I really could not finish it before I had to return it to the library. I am not really a fan of this book, too many plots and confusion for my tastes.
