Oliver Napoleon Hill was an American self-help author and conman. He is best known for his book Think and Grow Rich (1937), which is among the best-selling self-help books of all time. Hill's works insisted that fervid expectations are essential to improving one's life. Most of his books were promoted as expounding principles to achieve "success".
Hill is a controversial figure. Accused of fraud, modern historians also doubt many of his claims, such as that he met Andrew Carnegie and that he was an attorney.

The 3rd Napoleon Hill book I’m bingeing on….

Lots of life lessons to learn. The best takeaway I got from reading this is - not just that one should read this book, but to spend time pondering on the lessons, take action, be the role model so as to teach others the learnings we got.

A few terms I particularly like:
- Hypnotic Rhythm - the basis law for Nature / our World / Universe runs.
- Success Consciousness - just like being health conscious, how success conscious we are about the life / things we desire to attain?

Napoleon Hill is a man who very much represents his era. The values he represents are an amalgam of Yogic traditions (not that he ever mentions where his philosophy came from) Biblical texts and common sense.

He has 17 principles that make up his philosophy, the first being knowing what you want and what you’re prepared to give to accomplish your goals.

He’s all about positive thinking, taking action, being filled with enthusiasm, being in control of your mind and body and training your mind to focus on your goals exclusively.

There were a few dicy moments, like when he went on a tirade about Joe McCarthy and how there should be a thousand other people in government doing the same thing to “stem the tide of the fifth pillar that is trying to bring down our society!”

Overall, Hill has a lot of great advice and he is easy to follow, but Neville Goddard, Jose Silva, Dr Joe Dispensa and the Vedas are all saying the same thing.

For anyone that has consumed literature on the psychology of success then there won't really
be anything new that you will get out of this lecture series. However, I would definitely
recommend this master class to any one who is looking for a general introduction into positive
thinking and the psychology of success. I personally enjoyed the refresher of the
basics and hearing the teaching in Napoleon Hill’s voice, as it felt like I was stepping back in time.
One take away that I feel is worth mentioning is the lesson:

“If you go the extra mile everyday for someone without asking for compensation, then eventually
you will be overcompensated for what you do without having to ask”

Excelente.

Just Do It

Even Napoleon Hill said there is nothing new in his philosophy but what he has done is put it into action. He has made his philosophy ir collection if philosophies available, it is up to you to action them. Great resource if you are "drifting," don't know how to start, or don't know what to do next.

A full 10+ hour lecture from Napoleon hill filled with personal anecdotes which I found incredibly helpful in understanding more of the person and how to apply his teachings to everyday life. I needed to hear this. It was worth considerably more than the price I paid for it.

this is one of those books / audio that I listen to again and again and it is one of my favorites. It helps give me perspective on Napoleon Hill's "philosophy". I am a big fan of his work and hearing him in his own voice allows me another way of learning.

A must read / listen.
