Alma Easter is invited to a lavish Christmas party hosted by her old celebrity friends. It has imported champagne, delicate nibbles and, unfortunately, a death in the middle of the welcome speech. While guests leave and family mourns, Alma suspects this death is more than just tragic misfortune.
Alma is invited to a party and says no! They end up ☝ going to the party. They are having a drink 🍸 with the host when he falls over dead. Is it murder? Who did it? Alma discovers the truth leading to a arrest of the killer.
I would recommend this five book series and author to 👍 readers looking for quick reads at a total cost of $0.99. 2023 👒😀😡🏡
The Fallen Swann is the fourth short story in the Alma Easter Christmas Mysteries series.
Alma attends a high society holiday party. In the middle of her old friend's speech, tragedy strikes. Alma's careful observation has her on the path to catch a killer.
This story may be short, but the author does a wonderful job leading up to, creating, and solving the mystery. Some back story is tossed in but just enough to set the scene and give Alma some depth and realism.
The series is full of well-written, quick mysteries.
Book number four of the Alma Easter Christmas Mysteries series. At least these books are super short. This one was a Christmas party at an old friend's house. A little better than book three since there was a crime and death occurring during the story this time. Overall, these are just okay for a quick lunch break read. Nothing spectacular. Will not be finding out about book five...the first four were free on Amazon for kindle...the fifth was not...these are not worth buying.
When there is a short story, that doesn't leave much to say in the review. I do enjoy 😉 all her short stories. Love the characters. Yes, the stories could be longer, where is is harder to guess who did it.
Short, lame, mystery is the best thing I can say. I am usually not fast at guessing who or what caused the death. Not this time, I guess the how immediately. This was a very one dimensional book.
Well, this was a comeback. In this one there is someone that Alma knows and a lot of drama and unsaid things. I really liked this one, kind of unexpected.
