An Edgy Romantic Suspense With Secrets, Sparks, Danger, Deception, New Info, Attacks, Care, Brotherhood, Love, Forgiveness & HEA!
I loved Mason & Sage, they're everything I hoped for & so much more! DEVOURED this in 7hrs.
*ARC Received for a honest Review.*

NOTE: Series best Read in order, you'll Understand the people & Situations better.

Dr. Sage; Brilliant, Kind, Empathetic; is our Beloved men's doctor. She had met them 2yrs ago & have been researching their "Superhuman" DNA. When Asher+Lexie's Baby Fletcher was born (In previous book), Sage came to help & have stayed. Her Twin Bro Jason was one more reason to do so.

Mason "Eagle"; Ex-Navy SEAL, Protector, Caring, Observant; has been suspicious of Sage's secrets. Trust doesn't come easy after Project Arma's Deception (They used experimental drugs on Our Guys without Consent) so in Previous book, he'd put a device in Sage's phone to see all her texts (the guys did say not to do it).

Jason was a big variable for a lot of story. So many Unknowns, until it's Known. He's in Hiding & texting Sage..OR is he?
The Sparks b/w Mason & Sage burned White hot & as dangers grew, they grow closer. Her safety is his priority. As he came to know her, Mason knew she isn't Bad, She's GOOD. Cue Guilt in them both due to their Secrets!

She Just Wants her brother back BUT As the bad guys can't get Baby Fletcher or his info, they've targeted Sage for it.
There's the Impossible Request, The Hot kiss, Doc's work, Home Attack *Oh no!*, Swoony Surprise visits, The Rockdale Trip, Meeting Logan (A good guy who Just Ran away from Arma & wants to save his team from them), Mason+Sage's Sexy times, Car attack *Oh shit!*, Healing...

Letting the Desire & feelings reign was easy..They know its forever, but can they be in a relationship with Secrets b/w them? Yup, they Can! But secrets do blow up *Snicker*
A Break, The Bar & Friendly Nudge, Jealousy does wonders, Fuck it & let's do it, M+S Together, Double Date Dinner...
Both Tried to tell the other the truth but weren't able to.. Then when her suspicion about his Privacy Invasion comes true, Cue Drama! Both were Miserable, but this time helped them realize Their true feelings.. And she can't be angry on Him as The Device then Saved her life!

As the truth of who's Texting her Is found.. A Rescue Plan for Logan's team & Jason is made..
The Call, Meet & Attack, Whole Truth & Talks, Planning, S+M's Lovely date, I love yous *Swoon*, The Rescue, Things go Astray, Rapid Kidnappings *Shit!*, Dangerous Drug Trouble, The Fight, Our Guys won!
These scenes were so Heart-racing! Sage & Jason's Reunion warmed my heart. I'm so happy to see Sage & Mason Happy!

This book's Awesome just like every book in this GREAT series! I adore all the guys & their women so much! I loved the friendships & how easily Sage was accepted by Lexie, Shylah, Evie❤.
We also found a lot about Arma *Fist pump* here & I'm sure the Rescued Team will help our guys to End ARMA too! (I liked Logan & Jason a lot❤, I Hope we get their books! *Hint, Hint*)

Then there's the Epilogue/teaser! I'm so excited to see we'll be getting a Brother's Best-friend book in this series: Quinn (Mason's Sis) + Wyatt...Hell ya, Can't wait!

The super soldier and Sage!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 🩵🖤❤️
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌏
Character development: ☹️☺️😍

The heroine: Sage - she is the doctor that has spent the last few years studying the DNA of the genetically engineered soldiers that were a part of Project Arma. The soldiers were held at a place known only as “The facility” somewhere in Italy until the government of the US and Italy rescued them. They paid reparations to the men who now own Marble Protection in the small town of Marble Falls. Sage’s twin brother got a new job with Project Arma three years ago and has spent the last two years in hiding from them. She misses him and he just sent her a text message telling her he needs her to break into Marble Protection for him.

The Hero: Mason (a.k.a. Eagle) - He is a former Navy Seal and one of the owners of Marble Protection. Since Sage came to Marble Falls to help Lexie with her pregnancy and stayed to be baby Fletcher’s doctor, as well as doctor for the enhanced men, Mason hasn’t trusted her. He couldn’t get her delectable body out of his mind, and he knew she was keeping things from them. He had been following her off and on, had broken into her home and found some hidden items in a go bag, and even put some spyware on her phone, so he could read her messages, and he knew she got one from her brother asking her to break into Marble Protection.

The Story: Mason caught Sage after she broke into their offices, and though she lied to him about why she was there, and even admitted to stealing Lexie’s key, all he did was take the key and let her go. Well after sharing a steamy kiss with her, that is. Mason doesn’t think Sage is a threat to them or to Lexie and Fletcher, though he is determined to keep an eye on her in case her brother, or whomever is pretending to be him shows up in Marble Falls.

I am really into the genetically enhanced super soldier trope lately; I am currently in the middle of more than a few different series with the same theme. I kind of get on to one trope and stay on it for a while and then move on to something else. This one has some good storylines, and I like the fact that this group of guys are leading a relatively normal life. One thing I disliked about this book was though the world building was pretty good; the author never fully described the characters at the start of the book. The fact that they both had blue eyes was mentioned more than once, but it didn’t say anything about what color hair they had until about 20% in. I like to picture the characters while reading and it is hard to do that without something as basic as what their hair looks like.

The story in this one was pretty good, especially the relationship drama, since Mason didn’t trust Sage at first, he had been auditing her text messages to and from her brother and didn’t know when to tell her what he had done. Of course, as it is in all things like this in romance, he waited too long. There were also some storylines about Project Arma trying to kidnap Sage to get the information she knows about Fletcher’s DNA. I was most interested in what happened to her brother. It wasn’t too hard to figure out some of it by looking at the authors list of books (see related series). I definitely plan to read more of this series, I am hoping the guys eventually get back at the people behind Project Arma and rescue more military men that have been taken and used as guinea pigs.

Mason: A steamy contemporary military romance
Project Arma Series #4

𝗠𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄

Will they find in them the will to trust and forgive ...

As my first read in this series and this book being the fourth I feared I would might find myself a bit off. But not once did I have the feeling I had missed some intel.
Instead it jumped straight to the point and in the action. Which glued me instantly to the pages.
Mason is such a sweetheart, even with his trust issues, much understandable, he gives Sage time and space to adapt to their situation, determined she will come to rely enough on him to share what is eating at her.
While he chooses a twisted path to ascertain she is to be trustworthy, the whole group has a sword of Damocles hanging on their head, all the more reasons to be suspicious.
Sage too kept some facts of her past hidden, why she is torn between her attraction to Mason and her devotion to her twin brother. While she would never endanger the people who have come to mean a lot to her, she still can’t shake the idea she must find a way out for her brother. And she fears her goal is in stark contrast to Mason’s and his friends.
Why until they find a way to have confidence in the other, their romance is doomed as secrets do not do well with feelings. A broken trust can cause great damage to a burgeoning love story.

I read few contemporary romances, but I like when they are loaded with actions and strong characters. And here the author does not disappoint. Mason is the perfect flawed alpha male and Sage while no warrior does not break even under the pression.

I couldn’t get enough of Mason and Sage’s story! Sage is dealing with a situation that she needs to investigate and isn’t sure who she can trust to help which makes Mason wary about her cause he wants her but is also scared to trust her cause she comes off as suspicious to him but she has a very valid reason. These two together were great, I adored Mason and the different side Sage brings out of him.

Mason is book four in the Nyssa Kathryn Project Arma series. Trying to protect her brother Jason, Doctor Sage Porter applies for a private doctor position to look after a group of men who run a security firm called Marble Protection in Marble Falls. However, she did not expect to react to one of the owners of Marble Protection. When Mason is released, he is attracted to Doctor Sage Porter but does not trust her. He puts the bug into her phone to find out what she is up to. Will Mason and Sage get together? The readers will continue to follow Sage and Mason to discover what happens.

I have not read a book written by Nyssa Kathryn that I did not enjoy reading, and Mason keeps up my love affair with her books. Nyssa Kathryn's writing style ensures I engage with her characters and plots. I love Nyssa Kathryn's portrayal of her characters and how they interact throughout this book. Mason's readers will learn about the role of a private medical officer. Mason is well-written and researched by Nyssa Kathryn. I like Nyssa Kathryn's description of Mason's settings, which allows me to imagine being part of the book's plot.

I recommend this book.

Like all other books in this series there was non stop action from cover to cover.
For an author with only a handful of books under her belt the depth and descriptions, along with the lovable characters and a plot that will keep you on the edge of your seat, she continues to astound me.
Every time I pick a book up, I just know it's going to be epic and this one was no exception.
The more answers they uncover, the more questions pop up, so I can't wait to see what happens next.

Series worth reading

This is a great series to read. Mason is book four of the Project Arma series. He and Doctor Sage were a perfect fit together. I would recommend starting from book 1 since they do go in chronological order.

okay.

This was a good enough addition to the series. What internal conflict there was between Sage and Mason didn’t last too long and much of the drama and action was external to their relationship and more related to the overarching plot across this series. With the revelation of new teams that were also exploited, I wonder if there will be spin-off series. I like this series enough to keep reading it even if I still find there to be something missing in the character development to make it truly emotionally compelling.

Another excellent read from Nyssa! Her writing and character development keep getting better! Sage, the doctor brought on to help them in previous books, and Mason have great chemistry and a sizzling relationship. This book has more twists and secrets involving Arma as we get deeper into the project and learn what is going on. We also got introduced to some new characters that I hope we get to keep up with and see some books for later in the series. I can't wait to see the relationship we were set up for at the end! As always I think it is best if you start at the beginning of the series so you get the backstory of Project Arma and other characters.

Ahahaha Mason was down bad but bugging her phone? BOO 👎🏻 Men justifying their shitty behaviour in the name of protection till the end of time smh. Take some damn responsibility.

Sage was hurt by his actions but didn't do much about it. Bummer. If someone searched my place up and bugged my phone when I was specially called by them to help them? Expect huge fucking trouble. idc how bulked up you are imma take on you.

I imagine Sage as Dr.Linda from Lucifer. idk why it just vibes. loved how she spaced out in her thoughts. me behaviour fr. AND how mason loved it and always observed it and gently pulled her out of it??? he was so curious it was adorable.

They were pretty cute. Dude was whipped fr. Mason, the protector and Sage, the protected.

Although the plot seems to be making no progress I will be completing this series because I'm curious.

Sinclair is a walking talking red flag. How do you not suspect this man enough and everyone else so much

I am actually really excited for Wyatts story because he seems intriguing and mysterious to me And Quinn is so sexy so let's see.

Sage is a doctor who was called in when Project Arma was disbanded. Her brother Jason was part of the lab team. Jason is now in hiding after finding out what the drugs really do and that the project was not on the up-and-up.

Mason has liked Sage since the moment they meet 2 years ago. Now she is in Marble Falls, she was called in to help Asher and Lexi with Lexie's pregnancy. Little baby Fletcher is unique and only Sage knows the men well enough to monitor the little bundle of JOY.

Sage is scared for her brother and the men that might be after him. Mason is untrusting of the doctor since they don't know who they can trust. Sage has to prove herself to the men and win their trust. For Mason it is difficult since he is falling for the doctor. Sage is called in to look at an escaped prisoner from Project Arma and we are introduced to Logan. After some breach in trust on Mason's part and Sage's heart break to see her brother, they get in a bind. Logan is in search of his team which are being held prisoner. Logan is as determined as the Men of Marble Falls to find his brothers and get the men responsible for their imprisonment.

Sage is sweet and smart. And Mason is drool worthy as all the men are. And baby Fletcher is so loved it makes your heart gush.

I love that we are now introduced to a new cast of characters with Logan's team.

I keep reading this series despite the following facts:

-the characters are pretty boilerplate with little depth or dimension
-the female leads repeatedly perform TSTL acts
-the male leads, all SEALs and highly trained, repeatedly ignore the DANGER signs around them, which leads to pointless action
-the villains always get away, despite the same events recurring over and over and over
-the series appears to be going nowhere

In this particular installment, the Scooby Gang doesn't seem concerned that the doctor treating them all has a secretive brother that keeps asking her about top secret stuff by text. They also didn't feel the need to share with their doctor that there's a new drug that could turn them all into killing machines. And, the team continues to work with the CIA, who repeatedly lies to them about virtually everything.

I get the series is intended to pace through the romance aspect for each team member. But nothing happens to further the base series plot. Unless you count the continued, repeated events that show the CIA contacts are equally as evil as the original military guys who sold the souls and bodies of these guys with the intention of creating super armies.

If I were a former SEAL, I'd be offended to be characterized as so stupid and unable to recognize a setup like this. Yes, it's fiction, I get that. But you can't expect a reader to suspend all logic.

Here's one good thing: the sex is hot, but typically, there's one penultimate scene, and that's pretty much it. Woopie.

Series are great and clearly the number one romance vehicle these days. But a series should make sense, at least from an overall standard. I see all these high ratings and am frankly surprised. It was fine to read the first book and see potential plot holes. It takes some time to get everything rolling in a supposedly complex series. This, however, is book 4 with quite a few books to follow. And this book is clearly a template of the previous ones. Where's the story? Why don't the female leads stop doing stupid stuff? Why doesn't the gang recognize they're being played so blatantly?

If you prefer to put your brain on autopilot and fall into a mild military-esque story with a tiny bit of sex and a whole lot of frustrating non-plot, here's your series. And there's not a thing wrong with that! I'm not yucking anyone's yum. If you want a substantive story with strong, 3D characters and smoking hot sex, look for Riley Edwards or Elle James. This series has great potential, but at Book 4, doesn't appear to be heading towards success.

Fabulous Story, Characters & Narration🎧

Mason
Project Arma, Book 4
By: Nyssa Kathryn
Narrated by: JF Harding, Heather Costa

Nyssa Kathryn pens another winning novel set in her “Project Arma” series, another exciting romantic suspense that captivates your attention and tugs on your heartstrings the entire time. This fourth book is Mason and Sage’s story and what a story it is. Mason, one of the navy seals who was, unknowingly, used as a lab rat while he served with his team, the team is out for vengeance against those who ran and continue to run “Project Arma” and it is their mission to take them down. After they escaped from “Project Arma”, it was Dr. Sage Porter who checked them out and ran tests on them, she continued to work with the men afterwards too. And she was the one they called when Lexie was pregnant. Mason, who does not trust easily, was always suspicious of her, wondering if she had a connection to Project Arma or not. He has a thing for her despite knowing she is not being upfront with him about everything and she for him, but she knows it will never come to anything because of the very thing she is hiding from him. And when those behind Project Arma can not get to the baby, they go for the next best thing, the one who knows all about the baby, Sage, and they have the perfect tool to get her to come to them. I loved how everything played out in this book, the story is cleverly plotted with the perfect balance of drama, angst, mystery, twists and turns, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions, and a fantastic romance. Nyssa Kathryn, Thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride. I am looking forward to what comes next in the series in Wyatt’s story.

🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Nyssa Kathryn continues to choose the perfect cast to bring her characters and stories to life. JF Harding and Heather Costa are talented narrators and versatile voice artists, and they do an amazing job portraying the characters, giving each a voice that fits that character’s persona and is believable in every role they play. They set the perfect tone for the story and they capture all the character’s emotions and have you feeling every single one. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their narration enhances this already amazing story to another level. Thank you for another fabulous listen.

The best friend and the brother…but not the same old trope we have seen before.

The inimitable Courtney is the best friend of Grace from the first book in the series (Logan in case you aren’t keeping up with the programme here..) and Jason is the brother of Sage who is with Mason from the Project Arma Originals (again….if you don’t know this where have you been!!!)

Honestly this book does read well on its own but you will definitely appreciate it more if you read Logan first and if you read all the original series too then you’ll truly be up to date and well versed in all things Arma related. .

Jason is all the things you want in a boyfriend, totally see’s Courtney and understands her, appreciates her quirkiness and is willing to put in the time and effort to let her get comfortable around him.
Courtney has all the feels for Jason but what she perceives as his perfection puts her in a tizz and turns her into a blubbering clumsy mess in his presence, I love how this was portrayed in the book.

Luckily a few steamy kisses get her over this and onwards we go.

Something from Courtney’s past come back in her life, without her truly understanding why and yet she finds herself in danger. Something the Arma boys take personally and jump in to protect their favourite barista. Obviously this may or may not also play into Jason’s plans to get closer to Courtney also.

I loved the storyline here, though there were elements of it I had guessed quite early, there were lots of elements that were more of a surprise to me right up to the end. The suspense and danger events of this story were well intertwined with the budding and developing romance and even the angst scenes were very in the moment and relevant.

The friendships amongst all the characters were true, especially between the Arma crew. A real brotherhood feel, and Grace and Courtney’s friendship was strongly relatable. I liked how the Grace betrayal storyline found more room here, and was brought to a nice conclusion for the wider group.
Willow found more of a voice here too which was nice to see and whilst I have my suspicions about her and Blake’s problems it will be great to see how this develops in the next book.

Another really great book, highly recommended read and author.

2.5* Hmm. Not exactly exciting. Plot holes, characters didn’t make sense.

I liked it but it didn’t thrill me. There are a few plot holes that are ludicrous. As a genius doctor, Sage does some really stupid things. It also got a bit silly near the end. Which I won’t spoil the plot but Sage will risk her own life to find her twin. In the process she puts the teams lives at risk as she ignores all the blaring, warning alarms that it’s a trap!

Mason has fancied Dr Sage for a while, but the team suspect her of working for Project Arma. So he holds himself back from her, until it becomes obvious that she’s innocent and Project Arma want her. As she’s also a dna biologist, and knows about baby Fletchers dna. When they try to kidnap her, Mason steps in to protect her, and they become closer.

Sage has a secret, that her twin brother Jason worked on Project Arma and went into hiding when he realised what the project actually was.

Ludicrous plot line again. As a biologist who would be creating the serum that changes dna, he can’t say he didn’t know about it, and what it was!!! 😡

Sage has spent two years trying to find him, without any success. Sage was a weird character for me. I didn’t like her, (As she did stupid things.) but I didn’t hate her. She was rather bland. After the last book in the series with Lexi who is full of life, Sage just feels boring. But that’s the authors fault, as I never really got to know her. Yeah she’s a doctor, and a biologist, what else?? What hobbies does she have, what does she do when she’s not working? It’s the same with their relationship. One minute Mason doesn’t trust her, the next they’re in a relationship and have been together for over a week. Erm…. Could we know a bit more about them???? Their dates, etc. There’s a lot of her chasing around messaging Jason, and the team running after her, but hardly any romance.

Quite a few things in this book just didn’t make sense. The romance part is rushed and hardly written about. Sage is boring, and does stupid things. I read it so I can carry on with the series. Sorry. 😢

I give 5 stars for the series but different stars for each individual book. Rather than write a review of each of the 8 books, I'm just going to write 1 for the series. The series is about a group of former Navy SEALs who were experimented on without their consent and became super soldiers. They now run a business together while investigating the man/people who did this to them and still present a threat to them and their loved ones. Each man falls for a woman he needs to protect from their enemies. My initial impression of this series was that it was going to be a collection of stories that satisfy an array of tropes with the dedicated, loyal, protective hot guy falling for, and needing to protect, the strong but tormented woman. It is that; and if that was all it was, I would have been fine with that. I would have read them, probably more slowly, and taken breaks between books for maybe a little more substance. However, this series was tied together really well with the background story of chasing the bad guys who did this to them. With every story, it revealed a little more of what was going on, someone else involved, and increased the stakes. It really sucked me in, making it increasingly harder to stop reading and impossible to read anything else between books. For the last 3 books, I started reading the next book immediately after finishing the previous book, and kept reading until I couldn't keep my eyes open anymore. The whole series together was quite good but should be read in order. I also highly recommend the audiobooks. I listened while reading along.

Mason is drawn to Sage, Lexie's doctor, but he also knows she is hiding something. So he spies on her and definitely violates her privacy. At first he wants to make sure she isn't a danger to his team but then he wants to keep her safe. She wants to trust Mason but she is worried about her missing twin brother and worried what Mason would do to him if he found him. This book was the beginning of an introduction into characters in her Blue Halo series.

Mason
Project Arma, Book 4
By: Nyssa Kathryn
Narrated by: JF Harding, Heather Costa

I am so caught up in this series, each book building on the last, and I am love getting to know all the team members! This one is Mason who has his eye on the cute doctor who takes care of the team and baby Fletcher. Does he trust the good doctor? No, he doesn't trust anyone. Sage has come to Marble Falls with a few intentions. She loves her job and the baby is her priority. Or is it? Whatever the reason, it doesn't stop her from falling for the handsome man. Project Arma is still looking for the baby, and when they can't get to him, figure his doctor is the next best thing Will she give up information about Fletcher? Will her secret be the demise of the team? This is a complex story, giving up some new faces as well as cementing the old ones in place. This story is packed with action and suspense right along with the spice I love. Nyssa Kathryn has pulled me into this world, and I feel like I am experiencing it all right along with the team. Mason is that protector, the one that is easily fallen for and his warmth is like a hug. But he can be ruthless when it comes to keeping those he loves safe. Sage is loyal to a fault, and her loyalty is what could keep her alive. She is quite the woman, and dives head first into a world that is scary! Loved this installment and I cannot wait for more!

JF Harding and Heather Costa pull out the one of the best performances of this series. Harding is one of my favorites, and as Mason he is fabulous. He is that alpha male, strong, loyal and will do whatever it takes to keep his team and Sage safe. Every feeling this man has is evident in Harding's narration. Costa comes in with a heartfelt voice, and knowing her choices, she makes her fear and devotion come through in a realistic way and had my heart holding it all right along with her. Loved this team!

More like 3.5 stars. I've been enjoying this series, but I am finding these reads are getting more and more tedious with each subsequent book. The writing is good and the editing is there. There's a really good premise for the entire story, but my main concern is: I'm on the fourth book and it feels like I've read the same story four times. Other than hair and eye color, the main heroes are interchangeable in my brain. They don't have enough distinguishing characteristics; when they are all talking in a room, for instance, I get confused about who's speaking because they all sound the exact same. Even the one who seemed different initially (Eden) ended up speaking/acting exactly like the other guys.

Then the fainting female leads, here's my main source of irritation. I get they are there to represent the "importance of inner strength" troupe, but do they all have to be the same? Emotional, hanging on to him for dear life, depending on the knight in shining armor to come and save them??? I guarantee you in every book they are going to get beaten up and probably kidnapped because apparently that's all the creativity Project Arma can muster (4 books in and ALL of the heroines have had one or both of these things done to them). Look if this government agency is altering human DNA, they aren't working with some honor system and they probably have a whole bag of horrific tricks they can draw from to get what they want.

I get it. It's a romantic military suspense. It's a really unique premise, though, and I'm disappointed by the lack of full exploration of it. I think I'll look at reviews before I dive into the next one.

I feel like I have read this book before. Oh, wait, I have! This is practically the same book as the other three. Honestly, the author is following a template, and copy/pasting all of her books into it. They are all the same thing!

The characters have very little background or depth to them. Between all the guys, there is pretty much nothing to differentiate them from each other. They are all the same person, over and over. The girls are different, only in that they have different backgrounds/jobs. Even the storyline is all the same! There is always a kidnapping at the end, and the bad guys will get away. This is getting pretty boring, at this point.

Please tell me why Sage just kindof shrugged off him bugging her phone. It was built up in the book to be this huge deal, but then she just shrugs, takes his apology, and moves on, pretty much. This is typical of this series, too. You have this big issue, which is a potential to add more suspense and drama to the story, but the woman just takes the apology and moves on. I don't understand it.

The overarching storyline is OK, but it is moving too slowly. Honestly, by this point, even I am feeling like they aren't really doing much to find the project.
I will probably finish this series, but I'm not going to hold my breath that the last few will be different than the first ones. I'm at a point where if it ends up being the same all over again, I'm going to decrease my rating for it. This one can keep the 3 stars, but I have a feeling the next one is going down to 2.

I don't think I would recommend these to others, either.

Mason is a former Navy SEAL.  He and the other members of this SEAL team left the Navy and opened their own security company called Marble Protection.  Mason and the seven other men on his team, were all part of Project Arma, an experiment that turned out to be something more than what the team agreed to.  Now they all are super soldiers with modified DNA, done without their consent.  Needless to say, the team has serious trust issues after they were so seriously betrayed.  Mason is a natural protector and guardian.  He watches out for his brothers and his trust doesn't come easy.  Sage is the government doctor that checked out the team after Project Arma was shut down.  Sage came to town to monitor the pregnancy of another teammates wife, Lexie.  She has been caring or Lexie and the baby but she is hiding something.  Mason is drawn to Sage but is having a tough time trusting her.  Can he find out her secrets and keep her safe from the danger that haunts him and his team?

Another great book in the Project Arma series.  This CAN definitely be read as a stand alone book.  I love the intrigue, betrayal, conspiracy that reaches the highest levels of government.  The characters are real and relatable even though they are "super soldiers".  This author writes a depth of characters that make you feel like to know them.  This is a stay up all night could not put down book.  I love the absolute loyalty of the team.  This is the kind of book that I'm sad when it ends.

I received a review copy of this book from the author. I am voluntarily leaving a review.

Mason “Eagle” Ross is the watcher of the team. None of the team trusts easily, but when Sage comes to town to care for Lexi while she’s pregnant and be the team doctor, Mason keeps close watch of her. Not just because he doesn’t trust her, but also because he’s always seen her as his other half.

Dr. Sage Porter has a secret and she isn’t sure she can tell Mason about her secret because it could mean more danger for her and someone close to her. She is a determined woman herself and is focused on her task of helping the only way she can. She may question her contact, but she’s just as loyal to her family as the men of Marble Protection.

The men of Marble Protection have good reason for their trust issues, but once they have that trust you have their protection and friendship unless that trust is broken. They are loyal, sexy, protective and determined men and they have each other’s backs as well as anyone else they deem to be family. This story is full of secrets, passion, suspense, danger and non-stop action. It has wonderful characters that you can’t help but fall in love with and want them to succeed in their efforts to bring down Project Arma once and for all. They keep getting close, but someone always seems to find a way to get free. In this story we’re introduced to a new team, and I am keeping my fingers crossed that it means that we will have even more books in this series. I give this book a 5-star review and I am looking forward to more in the series and I cannot wait for Wyatt’s book!

Trust is such a fragile good and both, Mason and Sage are owners of it.
Mason has massive trust issues due to the happenings at Project Arma, he smells secrets a mile away and Dr. Porter has enough of that. Sage the Doc of the guys lives for her profession, helping people and also studying human dna makes her the perfect medical assistant for the members of the team of ex-seals.
But when she steps into the happenings Mason both gets attracted to the blonde, baby-blue eyed woman but also finds out things that stir his suspicions.
Can a man with damaged trust like this really find a way to open up do a woman with a mission?
What are her intentions and her secrets? He want's them all including the woman holding em.

First of all I have to say that I've read all of Nyssa's Books and she really is one of the rare authors I can tolorate writing in 3rd Person. Her writing style is fluid and good readable, not disturbing like others who use this style. More she has grown as a writer from what I can judge and it makes me happy to see changes like this so clearly.

The story itself evolves step by step but is pretty predictable. That's not bad if you are searching for a light and good read for some stressed afternoons like mine, but I wouldn't call it 'Junk' because the books have their own depth, but not too much.
I would recomment this read as a light book with a j/p Hero and a Heroin who is intelligent and choosing her fights as well as she is capable of.

This was a great book and a great continuation within this series! We get to learn more about Dr. Sage Porter, and her background both as the team's doctor, and a glimpse into her life as she tries to find out what happened to her twin brother, Jason. The relationship and connection between Sage and Mason is so good-- I love that throughout all the ups and downs, Mason chooses to trust his gut when it comes to Sage and tells his team that they can all trust her, even though he finds her 'breaking in' to their business after she's attempted to potentially steal files with info on baby Fletcher. I feel bad for Sage throughout the book because she is torn between finding her brother who's been missing for the past two years and staying loyal to Mason and his team, and the friendships that have formed with these people. After Sage and Mason come to trust each other, and Mason has proven that he truly cares about Sage, they are a great pair.

We also get further into the Project Arma story as the team finds out a lot more about the project that is still up and running, as they get closer to the truth and hunting down those who are still very involved within the project. Mason fears that Sage's brother, Jason, may have some hand in Project Arma, but it may not be the exact role that he was expecting. Looking forward to Wyatt's story and to see if the team can catch the people behind Project Arman in the next book!

Mason and Sage

This book picks up right where Asher left off. Dr. Sage Porter has worked with the men of Marble Protection for the last two years. She moves to Marble Falls when Lexie gets pregnant and needs someone familiar with their altered DNA to help her with her pregnancy. Mason has felt a connection to Sage for the last two years, but because of the betrayal he experienced, he doesn’t know if he can trust Sage.

Sage has stuck close to the take down of Project Arma for her own reasons. Her brother worked for them but went into hiding when he discovered what they were doing. Strange things start happening to Sage. Her apartment is broken into, she’s attacked and almost kidnapped and her brother keeps asking for information on Lexie an Asher’s baby. When a man with altered DNA claims to have escaped Project Arma shows up, Sage is asked to evaluate him and the team discovers Project Arma is bigger than they imagined. Sage and the team come up with a plan to find her brother with the help of Logan, setting up another showdown between them and Commander Hylar.

This was another fast paced read. It was packed with action and suspense. More secrets were revealed about Project Arma. Mason was the best hero yet. Although he went about it wrong, he was protective of Sage but also patient with her, hoping she’d come to him with her secrets. Sage was another strong heroine who had been through a lot trying to find her brother.

We are back in Marble Falls with a group of former military men that escaped Project Arma. A project that was supposedly endorsed by the government and one that would make the warriors stronger. What they were never told them was that in fact they were being injected with drugs in order to alter their DNA .
Though this group escaped, and are now determined to find the men responsible, others have been taken from their loved ones and have been put in the experiment without their consent. Mason and his “brothers” will do whatever it takes to close down Project Arma as well as protect his friends and their families.
Doctor Sage Ross has moved to town as their personal physician and is the woman who though Mason knows is keeping secrets, is also the one that has taken his heart.
As a relationship blossoms, and the secrets exist, the danger intensifies.
Will they survive the evil ? Will they be able to find their HEA?
The author delivers another story that will keep you on the edge of your seat . Once again, the main characters are strong and likable.
If you are a new reader to the series, I highly recommend you read the prequel as well as the previous books so you can truly enjoy this one.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

5 Stars for Mason’s book in this amazing series!!!

Holy hell in a hand basket, my heart was in my mouth the entire time I was reading this book. Author Nyssa Katherine has done it again; what an adrenaline ride!!

Seriously, I have to reiterate as I do with each release, that while each couple is a stand-a-lone in this well thought out and impeccably plotted series, the underlying plot thread means that it is desirable to have started with the Prologue; Uncovering Project ARMA, or book one, Luca, at least. I can confidently say, if you love military reads with those extra-alpha sexy ex-SEALs, then you’ll be in with a grin 😁

With each book, I believe more tension is building within the plot momentum, and I felt the same impotent anger and rage that the team felt when uncovering more of the secrets that those behind Project ARMA have been up to while our guys from Marble Security have been hunting them and calling them to account for their actions. But it seems almost like a game of whack-a-mole, where one is taken out, more pop out of the wood work, and danger can come from the most unexpected corner.

Once again, Nyssa Kathryn kept me on edge as I read through the entire book. Where should I be sending my dental bill for cracked and ground teeth??

I have been so keen for Mason and Sage’s story and let me tell you I was right to be eager, it is fantastic!

After Asher’s book we were left with a bit of concern about Sage and honestly it’s deserved but there is a reason why. This starts a whole new ball game of drama and action that literally has you on the edge of your seat, reading and scrolling as fast as possible to see what happens. In every book more news of Project Arma is exposed and new developments too that simply amaze you, just when you think nothing more can take you by surprise another thing does just that and blows your mind!

Emotions run high, especially for Sage, in this book and I felt so much empathy for her, Mason too. Trust is still the number one key worry and creates havoc for not just the lead characters but the team as well. As stated, you do feel the anticipation and fear, you experience each and every emotion as you read.

This fast paced story is full of excitement and extremely enjoyable, the romance is passionate and steamy yet at a much deeper level than mere physical. Great ending too... now I will be waiting as patiently as possible for Wyatt’s book.

Love this series

This is book 4 in the series. While technically it can be read as a stand alone, I wouldn’t recommend it, because it is part of a much larger story.

The men he worked with were his family. A family who had been betrayed not only by their government, but by the one man who should have defended them and watched their backs, their commanding officer. Now they aren’t sure who to trust.

Mason is a protector. A man of honor who would do anything to protect his family. Even suspect the one woman he couldn’t get out of his head. He knows what it is like to be betrayed, now he knows what it is like to break someone else’s trust. Someone who means something to him.

What would you do for your siblings? What if that sibling is your twin, your best friend? Sage feels like she is alone. She hasn’t seen her twin brother in 2 years. Will she put her brother before her physicians oath, before a child, before the one man she desires?

Nyssa Kathryn gives us an incredible military romance that has lots of twists and turns that makes it impossible to put this book down. Highly recommend!!
