Yet I can’t keep my mind off Dawson. The guy is bad news and headed for the bottom of a bottle as fast as he can. Too bad that’s a problem I can relate to. The only woman I ever loved led me down a dark path of addiction. I’ve been in recovery for years now. I won’t be someone’s fix. Or their cure. I can’t be responsible for his sobriety. If Dawson can get his act together, I could be with him. But I’m afraid that a new chance at love will destroy me all over again.
I like to drink, but it doesn’t mean I have a problem. Nix was supposed to be a one-night thing. He doesn’t understand my life or my problems. I’m in control. Always. My construction work has me hanging around the clubhouse, so I get to see a lot of Nix. And damn it, I want to see more. But my demons might be stronger than I thought. Will Nix still want me after I’ve hit bottom?
Two broken souls find their path to healing and love in Nix, a first-time gay MC romance in the Hell’s Ankhor world.
I started this series back in November and I have been obsessed ever since!! I've seen some wonderful reviews for this series and some not so wonderful reviews. The reason I have kept reading is because this series is easy, now I don't mean easy like boring. I mean easy as in these stories are easy to fall in love with. Hell's Ankhor is a family and in each story, you fall more in love with each one of these guys. Nix and Dawson's story was no favorite, even though we really didn't know much about either one of these guys.
Nix is a former addict, so he recognizes the signs almost immediately when it comes to Dawson. Not just because he is causing a scene at the bar but because for one, he doesn't think he has a problem. All Nix wants to do is help Dawson and he does the first night by taking him home. The next morning is a different story when they are unable to keep their hands off each other. For Nix this is a new thing because he has never been attracted to a man before. For Dawson it was just a great hookup. A short time later the same thing happens, and Dawson ends up waking up in Nix's apartment. The difference being Nix is not so easy to give in. He has been down this road before and can't let his sobriety be put in jeopardy no matter how much he might like Dawson. Time passes, and Dawson decides he can't continue to be this person and wants a change, but he also wants to do it for Nix. He knows he won't get anywhere with Nix unless there are some serious changes. Can these two guys overcome their addictions and uncertainties while keeping their sobriety?
Not going to lie, I wasn't really excited about Nix and Dawson's story because we didn't know much about either of these guys and there was nothing that really intrigued me about either one of them until this book. Now I am in love with them both, especially Nix. As with all the Hell's Ankhor stories they do eventually get their HEA and now I am looking forward to the story that has been on my mind since book one, PRIEST!!!
The simplicity and convenience of the plots is starting to annoy me now, but I only have one book left after this so...
Here we have a recovering alcoholic/addict and an alcoholic in denial. The convenience that Dawson meets the perfect person to get him through his struggle just made me roll my eyes at this point! At least make it a little more ambiguous... The entire plot is completely obvious from the beginning, which I'm a little bored of now.
Also, having no experience with alcoholism as I don't even drink, I'm not entirely sure how realistic this recovery is for Dawson. He goes to rehab for thirty days and he's 'fixed'?? I mean I guess it's possible, but it didn't feel realistic? There was opportunity for a lot more tension and angst but everything was kind of wrapped up in a neat, low tension bow.
What did confuse me was how the MC treated Dawson for getting drunk twice in their bar over a span of months. Maybe it's because I'm English and drinking is just a part of the culture here, but someone getting drunk twice doesn't immediately scream 'person with an alcohol problem' to me! I mean if that's the American criteria for an alcoholic, they'd have entire towns shut up in rehab after one weekend here!!
The clubs treatment of Dawson also felt pretty harsh - he loses his job and his support system for acting the same way that no doubt all of these club members have done. If there had been more escalation with the alcoholism, like it was more visible and noticable, I could have bought the plot more, but two instances of being drunk and then having your life turned upside down didn't sit well with me. Not one person even spoke to Dawson to see if maybe there was a problem they could help their friend with, and Nix just psychically knew Dawson was an alcoholic...
What I did like, and what made me give a 4 star rating rather than a 3 star, was the insight provided by Dawson. It was really sad how alone he felt, and how that loneliness drove him to act. The internal thoughts of Dawson are by far what saved this book for me because it felt real.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Ehhhh in my personal opinion this series should have ended on Tru. We really didn’t get much time with Nix or Joker before their book so I wasn’t really looking forward to reading their stories and then they seemed so different from the brief glimpses we got of them previously. Which just added to the disconnect with these books.
I hated Dawson in the last book and I audibly groaned when I saw he was the poor sucker Nix would end up with. I feel like this and the previous book just didn’t have the same emotional connection as the other books.
I really like both of these guys. I like Nix and how he reached and found his cool and his center. I like the fact that he has this big caring heart that lets him help out so many other people.
I thought that Dawson was a nice guy, but he definitely was in denial about a lot of things. I liked watching his journey and how he was able help himself with help from Nix, but Dawson did the work for himself and by himself, which had to be hard.
This was one hell of a fantastic, powerful, raw, gripping, grab-you-by-the-feels, gripping, intense, emotionally charged, poignant, tug-at-your-heartstrings, dark, fascinating, slow burning, and totally awesome addition to this marvelous series. I was pulled in from the very first page, and I would DEFINITELY recommend getting this gem for yourself.
I really adore these guys and I’m squeeing ecstatically about the next book in the series. Nic and Dawson’s book was like a summer thunderstorm. A bit turbulent at times, electrifying at others, but always beautiful and it left me with a warm, cozy feeling. “He wasn’t just my foundation, my anchor—he’d also shown me the way to a new life... We were forging our own future. And we were doing it together.” I’m so proud of Dawson and I’m so happy for Nix. They both made some tough but important realizations and I loved they did it together but on their own. They’re in my top favorite couples and I can’t wait to return to catch up with everyone and to take the next amazing journey.
I have just two words to say after listening to this novel. HATED NIX. Yep hated him with passion. He had zero empathy even though he knows what Dawson is going through he does nothing to help except tell his own story. He keeps wishing and waiting for Dawson to change and stop drinking. Nix knows Dawson is an addict and in denial but does nothing to help him. Though he said they were boyfriends he hardly spends anytime with him. My heart broke for Dawson and how lonely he was. In the end it was his BFF who came to his rescue, better late than never and Dawson was the one who took control of his life and changed it. Dawson was too good for Nix.
An addiction ruined everything I have been so excited to read this book after getting to know a little bit about Dawson through the last book in the series. And let me tell you I was not disappointed I was absolutely hooked on this guy not only him but Nix. Nix is outstanding. He is the type of man that you would want to be your friend. And together they’re just magical it is just the perfect connection, the perfect attraction, chemistry that is off the charts but when an addiction gets involved it could ruin everything. Nix had a troubled beginning. Growing up he had lost the one girl he had ever loved to drugs that spiralled him out of control thankfully he met Mal who Gave him a chance. Getting him into rehab and giving him a family at Hell’s Ankhor MC. This changed his life forever. And now he was attracted to a man. A man who was fighting his own addiction but didn’t know it or want to admit to it but he could not deny the attraction that he had for Dawson. Dawson knew no different then going for a beer at the end of the day. His best friend Brennan was his anchor but after he got in a relationship with Joker He was seeing less and less of him. And he knew that his drinking was getting a bit out of hand. His mother is an alcoholic, he knew the signs and he was nothing like her. Working for the MC Building cabins is where he met Nix. The attraction was there straight away. When they were together Dawson was extremely happy but in those quiet times it was like he couldn’t stop the negative thoughts so he would turn to alcohol. Would this ruin everything?? Would Dawson see that he had a problem?? Could Nix complicate his sobriety for his attraction to Dawson?? There is so much pain in this book that it ripped my heart open. My heart went out to Dawson when you find out what was behind all this I just wanted to hug him and give him my support. Nix Had so much heartache but he turns into this amazing man who is there for everyone. Supporting everyone putting them first he’s just amazing. But together these two, it’s like the relationship every person Hopes for. They support each other, the passion that they have for one another it’s off the charts but nothing was rushed. The communication skills made what they had even more special because they would talk about everything. Every think about these two together especially It made your skin tingle I could read this book again and again it’s an outstanding read.

Nix is the 9th book in the Hell's Ankhor series. I've read the first 5 or 6 of the books, but somehow I've missed a few, and came back to the series with Nix. I enjoyed Nix, but I will definitely be going back and reading the books I've missed, as there were a LOT of references to stuff I didn't know about. It was easy enough to follow, but would be much more enjoyable with more background.
Nix is an enforcer with the club. He's a recovering addict and, as far as he knew, straight. But meeting Dawson throws his perspective all off. His attraction to Dawson is unlike anything he has felt before. While this is confusing - since he had really believed himself to be straight - he doesn't really freak out or get upset about it, which I loved. He is such a solid, mature character.
Dawson is a few years older than Nix, but he's way behind him in maturity and life experience. He works construction for the club, but he has a serious drinking problem he's not ready to face. He ends up getting banned from Ballast, the club-owned bar. But even that isn't enough to shake some sense into him. He knows he's heading down a dark road, but even his strong feelings for Nix aren't enough to keep him on the wagon.
Nix has to struggle with whether he can risk his own sobriety to spend time with Dawson, when he isn't ready to deal with his own addiction. Having been through it, Nix knows that Dawson won't stop drinking until he's ready. And aside from his own issues, he has to deal with the fact that Dawson's irresponsible behaviour while he's drunk begins to put the rest of the club in danger.
Both men learn a lot from each other. Dawson learns what it's like to truly want to change, and to truly want to be a better person - so he can feel like an equal in any relationship with Nix. Through Dawson, Nix figures out his own sexuality, realizing that he's demisexual - that he's attracted to a person, regardless of what gender that person is. This was a revelation to him, since he had spent years thinking there was something wrong with him because he wasn't interested in casual sex. Nix is a story about growth and change, and second chances. I really enjoyed it, but I will enjoy it more once I fill in the gaps I missed in the other books!
Tonight was supposed to be about having a good time and okay maybe I'd over indulged a little to much but I was only trying to have a good time. Nix was but right now all I could think about was that brief moment just before I climbed in this truck. Oh yeah I was suffering tremendously from my lack of restraint earlier and here I was paying the price. I did the right thing kicking him out and as much as I wanted Dawson he was totally in denial and I didn't needed that kind of trouble. I should have known the minute my best friend and sorta boss laid eyes on me he started reading me the riot act over my weekend and no after him my day didn't get any better in fact it downright stunk. I shouldn't have been overly surprised by everyone's reaction to Dawson's misstep this past weekend but now to add further punished... Well that just seemed cruel and he was afraid that taking everything away from him just might make things worse. The last thing I expected when I showed up at the job site was to be treated like a five years old and nope I should have realized not even my best friend was going to stand up for me. The only option I really had was to suck it up and get to work. For awhile there I wasn't sure I could deal with Nix's hot and cold routine but now he's showing more Interest in an actual relationship and with me. But being the kind of fool that I am the moment something is going good in my life I tend to blow everything to smithereens. I have no one else to blame but myself so now it was time for me to put my big boy britches on an face reality.

We open the book with Nix helping out Dawson. Both men faced addiction; Nix recovering and having been through the worst - and Dawson still coming to terms with his own and not even seeing the worst yet. Nix lost his girlfriend, Sienna, years ago. His life was on a downward spiral. He found solace in the club and could only join the club if he made an attempt to turn his life around. Dawson is the best friend of and works with Brennan (book 8). He's been dangerously drunk one time too many at Ballast. In order to keep Brennan from losing an important contract, he agreed to be banned from the bar and continue to work on the property...with conditions. There must be a chaperone at all times while on the premises. Initially, Dawson balked at the idea, but Nix is one of his chaperones. Things became more complicated between Dawson and Nix. Both men decide to date one another. Leave it to Nix's MC to be supportive and tease him every step of the way. I love the fact that Nix may have delicately questioned his attraction to Dawson but was not afraid to jump in with both feet and explore his feelings for him.
Throughout their loving exploration of their relationship; there were twists and turns but all worked out for these two. Overcoming all obstacles...together!
Priest will finally get to explore his HEA in book 10. This is the one I waited patiently for. It was satisfying to see how the author duo allowed him to realistically heal from his loss while remaining an intricate part of every single story from book 1 to book 9. Fictional characters who feel real, are the most engaging reads.

Every time I read a new Hell's Ankhor book, I'm blown away by how deeply emotional the journey is. I've gotten to know this motorcycle club so well over the course of this series that I feel incredibly invested in the ups and downs of these men's lives. Nix and Dawson's story was particularly heart-wrenching for me because of its heavy themes of addiction. The struggles Dawson goes through in this book are upsetting at the least and downright devastating in its worst moments. These authors painted a vivid picture of someone who appears to be okay at a quick glance but is drowning just beneath the surface. Even more than the romance with Nix, Dawson's road to recovery was captivating to read, with all the unpleasant realities of the life of an addict and an overarching sense of hope that things could and would change for the better. While I can't deny that this story is downright sad at times, Nix's steadfast belief in Dawson and slowly growing romantic relationship with him added a touch of lightness to this otherwise heavy book. The romance in this story was so much sweeter than I was expecting, and I thought it was the perfect contrast to everything else going on. Nix and Dawson didn't have many chances to explore their chemistry, but when they did come together it was every bit as intoxicating as I knew it could be. As has been the case with every book in this series, Nix and Dawson did find their way into each other's lives for good, and I've never been so blissfully happy to see them ride off into the sunset together.
**I voluntarily read an ARC of this book. This review expresses my honest thoughts and opinions.
Brace yourself for a rollercoaster of angst and drama. This book dives right into Dawson and Nix, and if you haven’t read previous books it’s a bit bewildering to start (I had, but still had to remind myself what their connection was, as they were background characters in previous books). The premise of Dawson and Nix’s forced proximity as the story unfolds is something of a red flag: after Dawson makes a drunken scene at the bar the club owns (this happens before the novel starts, as does his first hookup with Nix), the club decides he’s not allowed on a job site without constant supervision. For a time, they manage to build a tentative connection through their strong chemistry, Dawson’s denial, and Nix’s avoidance. Dawson’s alcoholism is the source of most of the drama, and neither he nor Nix, an addict in recovery himself, handle it in particularly healthy ways at first. Dawson doesn’t want to face reality. Nix is so afraid to lose Dawson that he’s alternatively hot and cold. While it gets epically better at the end,, there aren’t a lot of bright moments to start with in this novel, not many times Nix and Dawson are together as a couple without the specter and tension of looming heartbreak. That said, it does get better, and it does end well--really really well. I was on the fence for much of the book, but totally won over by the HEA. The way they both evolve into the kinds of partners they want to be to each other makes all the sturm und drang worth it.

This book is amazing!!! The latest in the Hell's Ankhor series and this time it's Nix's turn. He's a recovering addict and has been alone since the death of his girlfriend, Sienna. He doesn't do casual and he is caught off guard by his feelings towards Dawson. Dawson has been feeling a little left out lately now that his boss and best friend, Brennan, has found love with Joker. He will soon find himself starting something with Nix. It seems to be going well but one day, the bottom will fall out. Dawson has been drinking more since Brennan and Joker got together and it will get a bit out of hand and will cause some problems with the Hell's Ankhor crew. When he goes a bit too far, he will threaten the peace of the club and will cause problems for Nix and Joker as well. He will lose his job and his place with the club, though he is not a member, and he will end up hitting rock bottom. Dawson will find his feet again, though, and realize it's time to make a change. He will make the decision to do what is necessary to beat his addiction and will ask an unlikely source for help, and he will get it. Dawson will return to Nix a month later and after a bit of a bump in the road, the two will come together to start their journey together to their happily ever after.

The 9th book in the Hells Ankhor series hit home with me...one of my best friends is an alcoholic and I have seen both sides of the story Nix's side and Dawson's side. The realism of the book in its description and portrayal of addiction is spectacular. It also shows that the journey is not easy...it requires tolerance from loved ones and to some extent compassion. It shows that it is more than just lifting a glass, it shows about the underlying issues related and triggers.
The road to coupledom is not easy for Dawson or Nix. Nix has a past that makes him wonder if he can love again and Dawson really does not know what love is or how to love. Then comes in the addiction issues and Nix can not risk his hard won sobriety for Dawson, because as he says nothing comes before his sobriety. Dawson finally comes to term with his issues, goes to rehab and makes his amends to the club so he can be a part of the family. He and Nix have their HEA but there are a couple issues after Dawson returns from rehab.
Warning, if you or anyone you know has an addiction problem, this will really hit home and get you in your feelings. It did for me but it is so awesomely written that you will appreciate it in the end!

Aiden Bates and Ali Lyda have done it again with yet another hot addition to their motor cycle gang 'family' series.
Nix is somewhat of a cutie, hiding in plain sight, with little glasses, perched on his nose, his anxious tells, his amazing muscles he would draw anyone's attentions but he's drawn to, and immediately attracted to, the Dawson. Nothing wrong with that so it would seem apart from Nix believes that he's straight and can't understand he's sudden attraction to a man.
Bates and Lyda have tackled a number of difficult subjects in this book with sensitivity and come out the other side with great integrity. Sexuality, mental health, alcoholism, neglect, as well as so many other topics have been dealt with through out this series that it's hard to believe there are more to come.
This book, as with them all, flows with great pace, from beginning to end. It is a real emotional roller-coaster of a journey with these two characters who have so much in common and so much chemistry and energy to share.
I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this book; it is everything it could be as part of this excellent MM family series and I totally recommend it to you xx

Nix and Dawson have both been troubled with alcohol addiction. It makes for a rocky start when one of them has gone through the worst and is on the other side being sober for six years; the other is still in denial and struggling with how to fix his derailed life. It will be a long journey, but there is help along the way.
Nix was in control of his sobriety and could help Dawson confront his demons and get through the difficult path to sobriety. Having someone there for you who has been down that road and knows how difficult it is was so helpful in beginning the healing process. They likewise were exploring their tentative feelings for each other, and the intense chemistry, connection, and interaction through the sobriety process helped pull them together and made their new relationship stronger. Will the two of them take a chance on each other? Will they stay together and see this through?
I really like this series and the way the author(s) deal with issues, focusing on relationship and its healing powers. I am also impressed that they don’t shy away from difficult problems, especially when we see others so readily pull together to help someone in need.
Wow...This really was good read. Being introduced to Dawson in the previous books I always wanted to know what was his issue/deal. He seemed OK but his issues with alcohol made him real unlikable. Well it was a relief to finally see what his issues (and how he dealt with them) were and it was wonderful he had somebody like Nix on his side. This young man was really a special breed. I loved Nix and his calming personality. He really was the ying to Dawson's yang. And I can't say how great the club(HAC) are...they really are a wonderful group of guys who made this series enjoyable to read...fun,entertaining and oh so sweet at times. I will say this...some parts were kind of predictable but I couldn't help but hope things turn out the way it did...way it suppose to...This was great and anybody who read the previous books will enjoy this one too. I have said this in previous reviews... I love how the author sets us up for the next story and mannnnnnnnnnn I can't wait to read Priest and Mal's story...it's gonna be sooooo good...LOL

Nix by Aiden Bates and Ali Lyda is the ninth book in the Hell's Ankhor series. This story is written in dual POV. I like that allows me to really understand both men’s mindset. This series should be read in order. Each story flows into the next one. While not necessary to know side characters, they are from other stories in the series and it makes the storyline that much richer to know who they are.
Nix loves to read. He is a kind but tough man. Never before been into guys and he is an addict when we meet him. That is the major hurdle for him in this story. To overcome addiction and accept who he really is inside.
Dawson: he used to be an addict. Dawson loves Nix. He just isn’t sure getting involved with a man at his lowest point is the smartest idea.
Dawson is kind, sweet, and loyal to a fault.
Overall, this is a good story with some powerful themes in it. I didn’t feel it was the strongest book in the entire series, but it is good and does move the overall story of Hell's Ankhor forward. I am looking forward to the last book in this series as well with bittersweet anticipation.
This is dramatic and romantic, and much more serious than the rest of the series. Nix has been pretty celibate since his high school sweetheart died, he just never connected to anyone after her, and wasn't interested in casual sex. Then he brought a drunk friend of a members partner home and ended up having sex with him. Dawson had a drinking problem, and it got him into a lot of trouble, which is why Nix drove him home once in a while. Dawson was interested in Nix, but Nix blew hot then cold. Then one night they had it out, and Nix couldn't resist Dawson anymore. Until Dawson git himself into deep, deep hot water with the club. Dawson was read the riot act, and told to not show his face again. That was when he confronted his drinking problem. Nix stood behind him, encouraged him and believed in him, so Dawson decided to try to get sober. Dawson had a tough childhood and his mother is an alcoholic, so I could sympathize with him, and Nix was sweet and strong for Dawson. It's a moving story that draws you in, and I loved it.
I'm still stunned by my love for this series and the awesome way the writers cover all kinds of challenges faced by the characters--past and present. In 'Nix, Hell's Ankhor Book 9' Dawson wrestles with alcoholism, and Nix is wrestling with his attraction to Dawson when he's straight. Or is he? Nix's own past addiction is mentioned and how it led to his Hell's Ankhor membership, as well as his work with others in Alcoholics Anonymous is mentioned. This book represented a credible way of covering the topic of addiction without distorting the spirit of the Hell's Ankhor series. The writers are simply amazing while addressing AA sponsorship, sponsor-sponsee relations, maintaining sobriety during life's challenges, and considerations for relationships with people currently using alcohol and/or other drugs. Consequences to drinking behavior as it applies to the motorcycle club are meaningful and a part of the obstacles confronted and resolved in this book. In addition, the asexual spectrum of sexual orientation is discussed within the context of the book's storyline. I LOVE this series!
4.5☆ This story follows the journey of Nix and Dawson, the attraction and temptation they try to deny, the ups and downs that hit them, their passion, missteps, and finally love and a satisfying HEA. This story also deals heavily with addiction - denial, anger, lies, consequences, healing, strength, lifelong changes and challenges .. - as well as a sexual awakening. Nix and Dawson are both really likeable men on a difficult journey but when all is said and done, they have each other as well as the support of the club members who are their family. I love the dynamic of this club, how they can be counted on to help others, be honest, and loving - a definite family. I read an ARC of this book and there were a few minor editing errors that will hopefully be fixed in the final copy. Other than that, this was an emotional story that was also entertaining and enjoyable.

Nix has been sober for years. He knows when someone is on the path of self-destruction and he can tell Dawson is well on his way. He’s never wanted a man before but there’s just something about Dawson that calls to him. But Dawson has an obvious drinking problem. Nix can’t be responsible for someone else’s sobriety. Dawson has to figure it out on his own.
Dawson thought his one night stand with Nix was just that a one night stand. But ever since then he hasn’t been able to stop thinking about him. He’s in denial about his drinking. He doesn’t think he has a problem. After all he’s nothing like his mother.
The bond Nix and Dawson share is strong. They are both fighting their own demons and they find solace and understanding in each other.
Another great book in this series. Always love reading more about these characters.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
I cannot express how much I enjoy this series. Each book has a beautiful story to tell and a couple to finally find their HEA. While I guess technically you could read and enjoy this as a standalone it would be a great disservice to the world that these two authors have created. Each book expands and adds to the one before and as time goes on you get to know each of the characters better. You learn their nuances and quirks, their strengths and weaknesses, and most of all you learn that under the gruff exterior of this Motorcycle Club there are hearts with an amazing capacity to love, forgive, and forge an alliance stronger than any biological family. This review is an honest and unbiased reflection of my thoughts after reading an advanced readers copy of the book. In addition to reading the ARC, I also purchase a copy of the book for my personal library.
Dawson is part of Hells Ankhor and has a sad background, but don't all of our MC's. He lost his love years ago and has never felt the pull of anyone else until Nix comes along. But is Nix the right person for Dawson?
Nix has a drinking problem but hasn't admitted to it. His mother is the one with a drinking problem and not him. His best friend is in a new relationship and hasn't the time for Nix, so he's left on his own with nothing to do, so he drinks.
Book 9 in the Hells Ankhor MC series can be read individually or best as a series in order. The same characters pop up in all the books.
Well worth listening to. Good narration but had to speed up to 1.35 on audible.

Another emotionally compelling instalment in the Hell’s Ankhor series. Nix has been sober for six years after overcoming the loss of his first love. With the help of his crew, he’s overcome his past and has found happiness. But his intense connection with Dawson has him believing that maybe he can find love again. Dawson, however, is heavily in denial about his drinking problem. He is spiralling out of control and although Nix feels so ardently for him, he might just have to decide whether or not he can stay. There is plenty of hurt and angst as these two fight their own battles. But when they finally let each other in completely, the trust and love shines through. It does take Dawson hitting rock bottom for them to get there though, but I thought the work he puts in makes their relationship that much stronger and honest. A little bit of pain for a wonderful ending!
First you have to acknowledge, there is a proble. We finally get Dawson's story. Dawson is lonely, missing his boss/best friend Brennan after he found his love, Joker. Dawson is finding his solace in drink. He barely acknowledges he is drinking too much. Dawson, flirts with the idea he is drinking too much. Nix is a recovering addict. He notices many of Dawson's behaviors. He is attracted, but doesn't want the extra baggage of being in a relationship with an addict. He also, is exploring his new interest in men. Do Dawson and Nico have a chance? Does Dawson, indeed have a drinking problem? Can Dawson reconcile with Brennan's new relationship? Will Dawson ask for help? Good story. Dawson has a lot of work to do, will he. I recevied and ARC from Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I love everything about this MC and what the author brings!! The emotion in this book is just over the top!! Nix has had a rough life after his "love' overdoses leaving him to almost do the same. Fortunately his sweet soul was rescued and he went to rehab to find himself. Enter Dawson has soo much on his plate and keeps alot to himself. His best friend Brennan has found love and he feels like he is being pushed aside. When he is alone he doesn't know how to cope and turns to alcohol. Nix sees how he is and tries to help but the emotions become involved and they need to help themselves. Dawson realizes he needs help and turns to the ones who helped Nix. Loved everything about this book and the series and cant wait for the next!!!
