I used to be a computer programmer… I think.
But then I woke up in a strange new world as a… god? Part of me thinks this is some ultra-realistic VR game, but things just seem and feel too real.
Especially the three beautiful priestesses who have traveled from afar just to worship and love me.

This is a complete waste of time.

The whole idea of having your main character being a disembodied voice in a city building harem book is ridiculous. The initial actions from the priestess are things they could have done on their own, they expressed knowledge about the topics. That they had not seems idiotic on their part. This one is a fail across the board, the writing is boring, the story is silly, the actions make no sense.

Was not able to engage with the characters.

I did not like this book at all. The characters just completely failed to get me engaged and the MC was really dull. The world building was not very interesting the ladies in the book had 0 emotional appeal to me. Overall it was dull and I ended up skimming through it to finish it. I would definitely not recommended this book.

Masterful

A brilliant and unique concept. Whilst it takes a moment to adjust to the unique perspectives of the main character, once I got into the flow of reading this book I couldn't put it down.
A uniquely interesting Main Character and a triad of beautiful, unique and gorgeous women who worship him as a God?
But when you literally are one?

I especially love the reveal at the ending and would thoroughly enjoy seeing more!

I got 2\3 through the first book. then dropped it because it pissed me off. it's slow as can be. with tones of filler. I wondered why this pissed me off so much. I don't expect award winning writing here. then i thought about it and realized just how bad a mistake and poor writing this next negative is. one of the things is he basically doesn't tell the girls anything. i could write an entire paper about the stupidity of having the mc not tell them. Like if you do this it'll increase mine and your abilities. He doesn't even tell them that he increased their abilities or in what area. my point being what's the fing point of keeping that to yourself. he decides for some reason he can't tell them he knows this incredibly basic info about them because it might freak them out. all because he somehow thought people shouldn't be able to see basic stats without having any idea if it was common or not. also, he's supposed to be a f@@@ing god. it's not knowledge about their deep dark secrets or anything. them knowing that can only help. it's not like the people you have to depend on for absolutely everything! need to know the info that is the most vital part of survival and improvement. oh and by the way the mc is really worried that the girls won't think he's a god and a fraud. so what does he do hides from them the one f@@@ing thing that would instantly convince them otherwise. it's just bad writing and it's fing stupid if you ask me.

Great foreplay

This was a story with some truly epic build up! It definitely had a very unique and enjoyable approach to the whole isakai/ transported to another world subject, with only the lightest of game mechanics/ litrpg elements that made the story that much more enjoyable!

Being a God Means you have NO Body

I was having a hard time reading this story because most of the story is about 3 gorgeous priestisses talking to a God that guides them to making things for them to survive. They build tools for hunting to eat and a room with a roof. The reason for this separation is because as a God, Jack knows how to do these things because he is from another world brought here suddenly. Though, my issue is that for 4/5th the book, he has no physical interactions with these women. For this author to write a story like this was confusing for me, until close to the end when he completes the few quests given to him, as a God, allowing him to have more interactions with the priestesses. The key is in the last page of the book, making me to want to read the next book.

As It Says

Fantasy LitRPG harem adult situations
I didn't have a lot of expectations for this book, but it did deliver. Three nubile young women arrive at a shrine and begin to pray. In nearly all LitRPG stories, the MC receives a body, picks a class, gets New companions, and starts leveling.
The MC, Jack, however, depends on his own memory of games, and he advances as quests are completed by his nubile female followers, the naiad, Penelope; the winged fairy girl, Alea; and the human girl, Nicola. Each completed quest grants Jack additional powers. This different take on a familiar theme was well done and intriguing. A bit rougher in the adult scenes than I prefer, but overall satisfying. I'm in for book 2. Recommended.

Mediocre and juvenile

I've tried a few of the author's books, but I don't tend to like them. However, many people said this book was good and I like the genre, despite the silly name.

It started fine, but then the MC found out about a particular power and that's ALL he could talk or think about for about 1/3 of the book it felt like. Knowing the power and reason is fine once or twice, but it got repeated so often that it got annoying and it wasn't for anything other than personal pleasure. That's probably the part that made me call the book juvenile.

My already low expectations were almost met. I will not be continuing this series.

I will be surprised if this book turns out good. This author is a part of a group that shells out books as fast as possible (quality and consistence be damned).

Since this is the first book from the author I'm reading, it will tell me if he is truly like his group, or actually puts in the work.

I'm a quarter of the way complete, and I don't know what this shit is. The dialogue is horrible, and the narrator spends more time being horny than actually getting along with the damn story.

I can't take anymore of this crap.

I'm dropping the book, and not touching anything else by the author (if this is an example of his work).

Good not great

I have read a lot of Eric’s books, and for me this story was a little slow. It a build from scratch story with the MC suddenly waking up a as a god of 3 attractive women of different fantasy races. He has quests to level up the town, himself and the girls. Will give book 2 a read before deciding if it’s good enough to continue.

A cool concept and it has been done in an exceptional way in the book called dungeon robotics,it's one of those dungeon core universe type story.
But the books in these series, hmm let's just say that I have to give u some context.
If u have read any other works of Eric vall, then u will know, that most of his stories are extremely light hearted, and infact in all of his stories nothing bad ever happened to the main protagonist and his group, like zero tension and extreme side of slice of life, which is not bad, and it has a lot of sex.

The first series I started of his called without law, had a nice combination of sex and action, but then it slowly got worse and peaked around book 7 or so, and from their everything was a pretext for sex, and I mean a lot of bland and honestly no tension sex, the best way to explain it would be, if u cut out the sex parts, the without law series of 20 books can be condensed into a nice 3 book series, and if u have read his works u know that's true, which is the saddest part, cause he does power fantasy do good.

And this series, well, its a sex book with some light story elements and one of the girls is a religious fanatic who is portrayed in a good light so to say, she is not a bad person, infact she is really sweet and super loving, but as the books progressed,u will start to see that her devotion is more of a sweet fanaticism hidden behind the mask of naivety and geniune love and care, but she is thr kind of girl that u will avoid and the specific term for them is " sweet but psyco".

And all that would be good, but the mc is just not good, all of eric vall's mc are super competent in a realistic way, with good life experiences to back their actions, this one however, is more of a creep who just cant get his labito under control.

Now for the worst part, I am writing this review as a base generalisation of the first 5books of this series, and I started about 2 days ago, now u might wonder that this is not possible, cause each book is like 10hours long, so either I read them like crazy in that time, or I am just lying, well no, I read them like a normal person, audiobook to be more specific, and I listened to them while I was gaming, a holiday week for me, but still that makes no sense, cause that would just be impossible, unless I never slept for 2 days straight, hehe no, it's simple, I skipped the sex parts, and let's just esy that the book went from roughly 50 hours to 20 hours or so.
So good luck, and I challenge u to fap before u start reading, and then read the book, good luck.

First volume feels eternal, monotonous and boring. Three disciples of a "God" travel long distances to reach the ruins of this "God's" temple. The God not having a corporeal body, sees what they see and talks to them in their mind. But it turns out "God" is just a regular guy from Earth, and because the author is a "book-geek", every second thought of the main character is having sex with his three disciples. There is no town and the author has made this a harem-fantasy-isekai-story from the very beginning. Just like Succubus Lord, the lewd-filled sex scenes are the dessert and placed last in this new series.
I can't imagine writing a series that has so little going for it, almost no thought into plot arcs, world development or character development. It has 500+ pages with just 22 chapters, which should mean that with an average of 20+ pages per chapter, the readers should know each and every detail of the characters, and the world is so interesting, and lively, that it takes 20+ pages a chapter to describe it. But this story doesn't. It's about eating, making weapons, and defending the main characters from attackers and there is the intense and lewd sex at the end...If it were interesting and entertaining, but it's not. It felt like work, the uninteresting type, to read and finally finish this first book. Series has 8 volumes, the eight volume was published on April 2022. If this town was built on ruins of an older town it would be more precise to title it, Rebuilding a town to fill it with a harem for the main character who is not by any circumstance remotely close to being a "God"...

If I had to describe this book in a word, it would be "weak".

It has all the pieces that would make up a great story but each of them falls just a bit short. The characters are interesting but rather one dimensional. The rpg elements are there and clear, but they don't go into much detail. The adult content is something that's worked towards as opposed to dropped in the main character's lap, yet the language feels like a fifteen year old's fan fiction. Honestly that last one is probably my biggest gripe with the book. I don't want to insult the author since I've enjoyed some of his other work so I'll just leave it at that. It's a shame because if I were to list everything a good harem rpg needs this book would check every box.

In the end, if you're a fan of the genre you might enjoy this one, and while I wouldn't recommend to go out and pick it up right this minute, I would certainly pick it up on sale.

This book is utter garbage. Some of the author's other works are okay, for what they are. Not this.

The three women alternate between highly capable and complete stupidity, spending most of their time on the latter end. The protagonist is similar, being unable to maintain his pretense of being a god whenever he speaks, yet always seeming to have the answer to their problems. His delivery of these answers was about as perfect as example of "mansplaining" as I have ever seen.

Additionally, for a harem fantasy book, it takes a remarkably long time to get to any sex scenes. Of course, after they start, they seem to never stop. Even before that, the story (such as it is) drags, with very little actually happening. Once the sex starts, the book may as well be over.

In summary, do not bother with this series. There are a multitude of better options.

Interesting take on Dungeoncore novels. Jack wakes up as a god with 3 gorgeous priestesses. Now Jack has to guide is lovely followers to rebuild the convent/base they are living in. Each task brings rewards and power level ups.

This story reminds me of several great base building games (like rimworld), without the orgies (mostly). It is a fun concept and one the Twitch game watchers have been doing for a while (watching someone play a basebuilder game).

While it may seem like just doing daily chores, it does have a nice backstory about the followers and the mystery of why Jack is a god.

A guy wakes up as a god in a building simulator and he has to build a town. Interesting premise I guess, but the story is mediocre at best. He's surrounded by 3 priestess and has to complete quests to level up the town and convent. Obviously smexy stuff happens by the end of the book.

Again, these types of books are the ones where you shut your brain off, don't care about plot/characters/anything tbh and just enjoy the ride. Like a sitcom basically.

Great start to a new series.

I enjoy all of Valls works ive read so far but I m really enjoying this one. More world building and crafting, which I love. I really like the rpg aspects of it and the world has me intrigued and I can't wait it to find out more about the world as the story continues.

Stayed for the naughty

I didn’t really injoy the gamlit parts has times it seemed unneeded to world building expect one lv to summon tools but everything else was pointless. Has the plot also was nothing new I’ve read so read the start and end of a ch and skipped the rest only read the whole chs if a new chacther was in it, naughty part, or backstory.

A lot like Civ + a teenage boy's dream

MC is fairly whiny sex hungry teen who can't seem to take the situation he's in seriously. Side characters are incredibly flat. Three priestesses in next to nothing? Oh yeah let's get them building so I can bang them. Bad attempt at a town building book.

Wow!

This story was pretty intense. It is definitely original. Jack is summoned to another world as a god. Things grow interesting as he gets to know his three priestess. The story and characters were intriguing and engaging. I look forward to reading more about these characters and their further adventures. This book is definitely worth reading.

The MC is dumb even when compared to an average person, awkward too but at least that could be attributed to his personality which is subjective. His stupidity though, I have no clue how that can serve the story.

The dialogue is clunky, the attempts at fleshing out the characters are pathetic and overall, this is BORING. How do you make smut boring? Well this author found out.

Over halfway though this book but unsure if I will finish. It spends most of its pages building up steamy smut scenes that at this point, I don’t see it delivering. It’s a bit boring as most of the story is about the MC watching three women build a “town” from the ground up. Multiple chapters about chopping wood and building weapons. It’s just not that compelling.

It's good, but like, very slow development. If you're onto that then you might enjoy this book? But It's seriously very slow, I had it like reading it just to kill time and It was not that bad.

If you're seeing this book as a smut, let me tell you you will have blue balls during most of the series it's gonna tease you all book with what can't happen yet.

Slow burn

World building? Check
Hot priestesses? Check
These 2 ingredients formed a cohesive plot and slow sexual buildup to a very satisfying ending. I have a lot more to read. I do appreciate the author’s tactics. I can identify with Jack as I also am impatient about the leveling especially when it comes to his devout followers. Kudos!

I went through whole series as I hate to start something and not finish it. It did start as building town LitRPG with a pauses for smut (same-same feeling all the time tho). But it devolved into army and godhood very quickly with starter powers not really taking use ever. So if you are looking for building and town growth - move along.

Good stuff

A bit of a slow burn, slice of life build up but very good story. Lots of survivalist/humble begin events but.with the way things ramp up the next book should be gold. Reminded me of Dante.Kings. monster core series minus dungeon in terms of the MC and abilities.

This was good start to an interesting story

This story takes a strange turn from eric valls other books. The mc doesn't have a physical body at the beginning but gets one at the end. Can't wait to see what happens next

Couldn't get into it. Hit a lot of the tropes I don't like, but it also felt creepy a lot of the time. I couldn't even finish the book, which is a rarity for me. I skipped forward in the book to see if it improved, and it felt the same :(
