My new favorite couple!
Mandi was jilted so she went on her honeymoon alone. She was paddling in her canoe when it flipped over. Benny swam out and saved her. These two are so wonderful together! The epilogue is hands down my favorite ever!

She is his feisty little mermaid
Benny is the ninth book in the Wylder Mountain Heroes series and is about Mandi Rogers and Benny. Mandi should be on her honeymoon and have the last name of Owen but she was left standing at the aisle when her now ex, Blake, did not show up. It seems that things had not been quite right for a while but he was a weasel and ran away. So Mandi decided that she would take the trip they had planned, after all she had paid for half of it. Thus she finds herself in the Wylder Mountains of Idaho and in a canoe on a freezing cold lake, as he had wanted to do it and it was already reserved. Mandi does the one thing you should never do, stand up in a canoe, so she could throw her engagement ring into the deep waters and make a clean break. Unfortunately for her the canoe starts to tip and before you know it it flips and she finds herself not only in the freezing water but unable to right the canoe. Luckily for her Benny had been walking along the shore when he saw the woman in the middle of the lake in a canoe stand up and then flip. He may not want to but he jumps into action and swims out to save her. Once he has the canoe flipped upright and them in it and back to shore he carries the unconscious woman up the steep hill to his cabin. She is beautiful, curvy and fits perfectly against him.....oh boy is he attracted to her and his Alpha kicks in full force wanting to keep her. But he is a gentleman so he puts her to bed and then undresses her from her very wet clothes. From there you will have to read to find out what happens between them.
This is a story that I liked as it does have two interesting characters. I loved the fact that Mandi was determined to do what was planned and her feistiness. Benny is a lone wolf who after something traumatic happened when he was a police officer he retreated to the woods and away from everyone. For me I would have liked to know more about Benny as he was more ethereal. I also felt that some things were rushed in the story. I have really loved this series so far but this book was just an okay/like read. I would still recommend it to other readers as I know others will love it.

Mandi was determined to go on her honeymoon even if left waiting by her ex-fiancee in her wedding dress. When she arrived at the place to get her canoe that was already rented in their name. She had issues at first but it worked out fine. She got in the canoe and went down the river to a lake. As she was throwing her engagement ring in the water she tipped the canoe into freezing water. Benny stood on the shore watching it all happen as he tried to yell to her to get her to sit back down. Benny went and rescued her as she was about to freeze to death in the fridge water. Mandi was a beautiful curvy girl and Benny was an ex-police officer strong, tall, tattoos, gorgeous man. Benny got them to shore but didn't remove her closes even though she had a fever already. Benny carried her like she was nothing more than a feather up to his cabin on the mountain. He covered her before undressing her. Mandi was delirious and made comments when he was about to leave the room. Benny just wanted Mandi to get over the fever so he could send her on her way. He didn't want to be around people not anymore. That is why he moved out to the cabin. When Mandi came too she saw Benny walk into the room. Benny asked how she was and she just wanted to get the canoe and return it. She dressed as fast as she could and left to go to the lake. She made it to the lake even without knowing the direction. She was breathing hard and sat at the edge of the water. Benny had followed her. He sat next to her so she started small talk. As they talked they both became very hot and wanted to be intimate. Benny carried her back to his cabin as it was a steep climb for someone not used to the walk. After the night together would these two want to be together? She failed to wed just a few days before. His wanting to not be around anyone as he didn't think he was good enough for anyone? Can these two work through things and have a HEA? No drama just a sweet insta love connection.

Benny witnesses her dilemma and rescues her from drowning. To discover what happens after rescuing Mandi, you must read this delightful book.
I enjoyed this character-driven plot with a theme of man versus self. Both Mandi and Benny have strengths and weaknesses. Each faces their insecurities and their vulnerabilities as they evolve. Ms. Lex’s pens strong and engaging conversational and internal dialog. I enjoyed her descriptive scenes. For instance, the scene wherein Mandi struggles in the lake when her canoe capsizes quickens the readers heartbeat. Another outstanding scene is the picturesque scene aurora borealis lights. Once again, Ms. Lex gives her readers a captivating book.

Mandi was stood up at her wedding but decided to go on the honeymoon because it was paid for and she needed to get away and regroup. She wanted to go out in the canoe and toss her past into the lake, but what happened is she tipped the the canoe when she tossed the engagement ring in the lake. She needed to be rescued from the cold water immediately. To the rescue comes Benny. Benny sees her from shore and knows he must go out and rescue her. Benny lives on the mountain, away from civilization because he feels he is a broken man. Benny rescues her and is intrigued by this woman. Benny has isolated himself from people - can this woman bring Benny back to life. For some reason he believes she is the one for him. There is a connection. Benny doesn’t want to live without her. Does Mandi have the same feelings? Will she stay with him? There is warmth, tenderness, passion, lust, and love. This is a story about two people Benny, he feels broken and Mandi, who is re-assessing her life. Great read!

After being left at the alter in her wedding dress, Mandi decided to go on her honeymoon alone. The first thing on her list was a canoe trip down the lake. Once she reached the middle of the lake, Mandi pulled her engagement ring off a chain around and started to through it in the lake, but changed her mind, stand up and felling in the freezing water.
Benny was a cop and came to live a secluded life in the mountains of Wylder Bluff, when a boy died while he tried to save him. Benny sees a wonan standing up in her canoe. The next thing he knew Benny was swimming out in the lake to save the crazy woman.
Once Mandi was safe a dry she told Benny what she was doing there, then she ask Benny whats his story, which he tokd her with a sad heart. But there is something different about Mandi that Benny hopes she will never leave.

First things first; I like the cover of this book.
Benny is the ninth book in the ‘’Wylder bluff mountain men’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. I like all of the books in this series released so far but this one is my favourite.
After being stood up at the alter, Mandi decides to still go on her honeymoon. What she doesn’t expect is to be saved from a near death experience and find love.
The chemistry between Benny and Mandi is clear to see and I loved them together. I thought they made a cute couple.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.

Benny lives alone away from people after a missed rescue while he was a police officer. Mandi says Benny rescued her but she is the one that saved Benny. Benny wants Mandi and he knows it right away. This is a great Wylder Mountain book. The characters are wonderful and I really liked how she wanted to throw things in the lake. She should have pawned the ring or given it away. I get the concept of the cleansing. They are great together. I loved this book.

What happens when 2 people trying to get away from it all find each other? Magic! This is a short, sweet and spicy story. Mandi is a jilted bride who decides to continue on with her honeymoon by herself. Benny is an ex-cop, racked with guilt over a mistake he made. When he saves Mandi's life it's mutual attraction and more as these two souls connect in a way they never have before with anyone else. I liked Benny's heroic and caring nature. I loved Mandi's inner monologue! She's hilarious when she's frustrated! If you enjoy insta-love, beautiful outdoor locations and strong men with sweet women - this is solid entertainment!

Benny meets Mandi when he sees her flip over in her canoe on the lake. Not thinking she’s going to be able to bring herself out of the water he goes to her. By the time he gets there she’s almost unconscious. Mandi is in Idaho because her fiancé left her at the alter and this was there planned honey moon. No sense in wasting it she goes on her own and finds herself in trouble once the canoe flops her in the ice cold water. Benny and Mandi make such an amazing set of character and I love the instant spark and happily ever after they both are looking for. Definitely can’t wait for more!

She finds herself in a canoe in the middle of a lake and after standing in the canoe to throw her ring in the Lake she's in the water. Benny ends up coming to her rescue and ends up taking her to his cabin. Benny is happy being away from society but he finds that the spark he felt when he touched his "Little Mermaid" was the beginning of something special. Mandi feel the same spark. Sweet, lightning fast steamy romance with a great HEA at the end. Would have loved to see a few epiloges at the end just to tie the story together. Lucky for her Benny saw the whole thing and comes to her rescue. This is an insta love, short story about two people who find each other at the right time and help each other heal. The writing is well done and the characters are likable. Although this is book nine it's my first book in this series and I look forward to reading more books in the future. Unfortunately, she was a little unprepared to have this adventure on her own, but lucky for her Benny was there to rescue her. Benny is a strong alpha man who immediately felt the need to protect her and to care for her. He saved her from her little accident, but she saved him from a lifetime of emptiness. This is definitely a sweet (and mega steamy) romance!!!

Mandi was left standing at the alter when her fiancé never turned up. She decided she would use their honeymoon tickets to have a holiday. She took a canoe out onto the lake, and stood up to toss her engagement ring in the lake. She overbalanced and ended up in the icy lake.

Benny and Mani's story starts of with a splash and ends in the great love of all times for both of them. Mandi is only on the river because she gets stood up at her own wedding so she takes her honeymoon and ends up in the freezing river only to be rescued by the hunk of her dreams. LOL I love the Mountain man books.

This is the 9th book in the Wylder Mountain Heroes series, it's a well-written, fast-paced quick to read instalove Mountain man romance.
Benny rescues Mandi from a freezing cold lake after she accidentally tips her canoe over, he's instantly smitten with the beauty, can Mandi bring Benny joy and happiness after he's cut himself off from society? Wonderfully entertaining story.

Tarin Lex has such unusual characters that live on Wylder Bluffs Mountain. Mandi has been stood up at the alter but the honeymoon was non refundable. She takes a canoe to the lake at the bottom of the mountain. Well, needless to say that things do not go easy! Enter Benny when he sees Mandi fall out of her Canoe! He saves her life and things start hopping from there. It’s a little short but pretty good.

Benny retired from being a cop because of a case that went wrong. He has moved to the mountains to be away from people. His quiet life gets disturbed when he jumps into the cold lake to rescue Mandi who tipped over from her canoe. Sparks fly between Benny and Mandi as they learn about each other and like what they learn. This is a short and fast insta-love read that will warm your heart because great things can come out of bad things. This is book #9 of the "Wylder Mountain Heroes" series.

Th Cop and the Mermaid has a chemistry that is hotter than the bonfire in the story.

This is the ninth "Wylder Mountain Heroes" story. Just like the other stand alone reads this one features a hero and the women he falls hard and fast for. It's a very short and quick read with instant attraction and pretty much instant love. Mandi gets jilted at the alter and is determined to go on her honeymoon. She ends up being rescued by none other that police officer Benny. This a cute and sweet over the top romance.
