Above anything else, if a Pokemon book is what gets a kid into reading, then I think it's great.

That said, these stories suck. They don't translate well at all because someone basically just copy-pasted the script for the TV show and, because of that, there's a lot of missing context as well as the visual storytelling that happens in the show. It kinda just feels like a cheap, low effort cash grab.

The tear out poster is cute, I'll probably hang it in my closet.
