Recently divorced, Ashley Kobayashi is done mourning the end of her failed marriage; she is working on building a new life filled with adventure, excitement, and, most importantly, love. As she breathes life back into hobbies she’d let slip during her years of matrimony, she also explores new paths of recreation like burlesque dancing and aerial arts. Ashley decides to take up the challenge of performing live with her former instructor to push her comfort zone boundaries. Kerry-Ann Thompson is on the cusp of fulfilling her biggest dream, opening a glamourous cabaret-style club called The Crown, where she will perform, with Ashley and a troupe of others, a whimsical performance of sensual artistry. Under the pressure of being an entrepreneur, performer, and artistic director, Kerry-Ann is determined to create a production unlike there’s ever been in Atlanta, one that brings the vibrance of her Caribbean lineage to the usually Euro-centric world of burlesque. To pull off a successful show, Ashley and Kerry-Ann must navigate increasing sexual tension, jealousy, stress, and envy, and decide if pushing the boundaries of their friendship is worth the risk of ruining it all.

4 stars. This was so good and very close to being a five star but then the author threw in something right at the very end and left me wanting more. Such a tease. I loved that both main characters are burlesque performers. That was really cool. I also really liked the main characters, Ashley and Kerry-Ann. They were really likable and I loved their romance. They had great chemistry. This novella is super short but has a lot of heart and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

My Opinion: This book for me is a book of liberation, it's a book that made me feel free and happy and indirectly it taught me accept what I am feeling and letting go what is not meant for me. This story is about two amazing women who take the storyline by storm, it's very thrilling and certainly very deep, the way things come into the story is amazing and I really liked the easy and flowy writing style of the author which made me happy and it made me feel very content. I read this book in a single sitting but I must say, it's worth reading with all your attention and concentration because there is so much to learn from the story and characters. I am so impressed and it's so so soothing.

Good and Bad: I loved the characters, they are so independent and they make you understand what happiness is and the chemistry between them is so juicy and intense.

My favorites from the book:

Kerry is my favourite character, I don't think I have know someone like Kerry even in the fictional world, I am highly impressed by the presentation of her character.

Target Audience: This book is strictly meant for 18+ audience.

What to expect: Expect fun, drama, juicy chemistry, something that will help you relax and you will be completely lost in the story.

Final verdict: I really enjoyed and it's quite a book which is certainly unforgettable. I will highly insist you to try it out.

Omg, this book is just so lovely and at the same time, it's so intense. This is my second read from the author and I am used to her unique writing style but this book takes the readers away from reality, in a place which gives out those dark, gothic yet so very charming erotic vibes, it's obviously not an usual erotica, it's a blend of so many emotions where two amazing people having different personalities meet and discover themselves in the process. It's a very short read, it's quite intriguing and unpredictable.

I read it in just single sitting as it was very fun at times and at times it turned very intense, I loved how bold the story is and definitely it's not for all, this book is meant for 18+ readers but trust me once you pick it up, you just can't keep it down. I will highly recommend it to everyone.
