The 1963 Chicago Bears Were Definitely the Monsters of the Midway
I greatly enjoyed this book as it brought memories of the NFL in the 60’s. I was unfamiliar with most of the 1963 Bears with only Mike Ditka being a name I recognized from that era. I did know a lot of the players on the NY Giants since I rooted for them. Only the Packers do I hate more than the Bears because they beat the Giants many times in the sixties. Overall a great historical recap of the 1963 Chicago Bears Championship Season.
I appreciate the effort, but this book is so terribly written and so poorly proofread that it is distracting to try and read it. The typos and punctuation errors are so pronounced I can’t believe it was published in this form. The subject matter really deserves a better effort than this.
This book contained plenty of good information. I liked the week-to-week chronology. I also liked the end with the final roll-call. What I didn’t like was that the grammar and sentence structure left much to be desired. Overall, I enjoyed the book.
