The order might be bad, but there's a worse evil in my world, and it's coming for us. I can feel it.

My training has barely begun and already I've nearly died, battling enemies I never imagined. And yet, the witches have secrets, secrets that may mean that I 'm fighting on the wrong side in this war.

Asher and I need to find out the truth before it's too late. Only, what if the price for our answers is more than we're willing to pay?

The Order of The Cursed is a young adult fantasy series of novellas with an epic adventure and a splash of sweet romance. It has witches, magic, secrets, and a tale you won't soon forget. (This book was previously released in the Protectors of Tarak series.)

Lisa Morrow is a life-long reader who treasures fantasy in all forms. Being a middle child in a large family gave her a unique perspective on the world, but few experiences compare to her time spent studying abroad in Cambridge, England and wandering throughout Europe.

After her travels, Lisa settled down in Arizona to teach junior high English, and later, to spend time with her young children, husband, and cats. To some people, her life may seem quiet. But to her, every day is spent in a world colored by the imagination of children, and fantastical worlds created by her very own mind.

Ever since I got the first book in this series I've been intrigued. In a way it's quite clear that this used to be one book in the past, however, I do think that the four separate installments work quite well. Although it's one big continuous story, every part also has its own story and its own focus. The first book introduced us to the world, the second book showed us what's at stake and this third book focusses on Rose really becoming a Protector, despite all her protests.

Morrow has an amazing way of showing us the world and how it works. Since Rose is fairly new to all of it and only knows the stories she was told, Morrow can safely info-dump without it actually feeling like an info-dump. It's only natural after all that characters have to explain things to Rose, that we are told stories that show us that the truth might be different from what Rose believes and it's only natural that Rose has a lot to learn before she can fully access and use her powers.

This book focusses on Rose's training. She learns more and more about the Protectors, about the pressure resting on their shoulders, about the Queen they are working for and about their powers and how they work. However, she's still determined to change things, or maybe I should say, even more determined to do so. That doesn't mean she's not willing to learn. She is. And she is willing to defend the Kingdom. But on her terms and following her morals.

That makes Rose a character that's not only easy to like, but also easy to root for. The things that make Rose hate the Protectors so much, are things I'm not very fond of either. Rose might be much braver than I would be, but as a reader it's easy to understand her choices and to understand why she does what she does. And I love her willingness to learn and grow. It shows that she knows she has flaws and is far from perfect.

This story is clearly building up towards the finale. I can't wait to read it.

I love how this book is in four separate installments rather than one whole book. It is one continuous story, but each installment has its own focus within the larger story. The first book introduced us to the world, the second showed us what's at stake, and this book, the third, focuses on Rose becoming a Protector, despite all her protests.

Since Rose is fairly new to all of it and only knows the stories she was told, the author can safely give us a load of information without it actually feeling like an info-dump. It really feels natural to have all the information fed to us in the form of characters having to explain things to Rose. That way we are told stories that show us that the truth might be different from what Rose believes, but we also see her point of view of how things happened. It's only natural that Rose has a lot to learn before she can fully access her powers and it means we get both sides of the story and then come to a conclusion on our own.

This book focuses on Rose's training, both physically as well as magically. She learns more about the Protectors, about the pressure resting on their shoulders, about the Queen they are working for, and about their powers and how they work. However, she's still determined to save her friend, save Asher, and then change things for the better. Although she is willing to learn and accept her role in things, she will only do it on her terms and her morals will guide her, no one else.

Rose a character that's not only easy to like but she's so easy to root for. She has a willingness to learn and grow but she will not compromise herself, Her moral compass is always there to guide her to the right things. She is a flawed character but that is what makes her so relatable and easy to have empathy for. Some of the Protectors have given us a sneak peek into their backstories and it makes it hard to hate each and every one of them. This book does a great job of putting you in the "what would you do" spot.

Lisa Morrow has an amazing way of showing us this world and how it works. She puts such great thought into all the scenes that you can see them happening as you read. There is a great finesse to her writing and it is easy to get lost in her world until the book is over. A very good book, especially for fans of magic. I can not wait for the next one to come!

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

We pick back up with Rose directly after the events of the last book. She is still recovering from using so much magic but had to begin her training anyways as they are running out of time. This leads to all sorts of secrets and surprises for her to deal with. At the same time she is searching for Asher so she can save him as well as her friend. She is being drawn further into the Order whether she wants to or not since she is not really given a choice. All this combines to create one intriguing story as it progresses leaving things ready for book four. I am totally hooked on Rose's story by this point and cannot wait to see how all this works out. Makes for a fun captivating read. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.

This is a series that just keeps getting better and better with each book! I love how the storyline just pulls you in straight away and the characters are just awesome especially Rose! The world building is incredible and the twists and turns keep you on the edge edge of your seat! We get some answers but then a whole bunch of questions arise so I am very interested to see where the next book takes us!

In love!!

I’m in love with this series! The characters are amazing and the author knows exactly how to pull you in so that you don’t want to let go. I always swipe back and forth at the end of the book, confused where the rest of the story has gone because it never feels like I have had enough of the words! So excited to see where this adventure leads!

this book picks up just as the previous book ends and Rose is completely drained but determined to start her training as time isnt on their side.
Can she save both her friend and Asher - that her plan but things just keep sidetracking or deflecting her progress.
Brilliant YA short stories with plenty of intruige and twists, a really inetresting read.

The consequences of the previous two books are played out in this book as Rose forges on with her new life.
Rose is still challenged by her past and the discovery she makes in this book means she has to questions things harder.
The instalment does reveal answers to those secrets and makes readers question. It will be interesting to see where things head given what was revealed in this instalment.

Poor Rose has been through so much crap and there’s more to come . Barely into her training and she’s already been to battle and almost didn’t survive . Hopefully her and Ash find out what going on before it’s too late .

“Witch Secrets” is the third installment in the YA fantasy “Order of the Cursed” series by Lisa Morrow, which mixes epic fantasy, adventure and romance into interesting story, that despite its shortness offers a well-crafted world, relatable characters, magical situations, secrets, twists. Rose (MC) is a nice relatable character, who jumped at the chance of changing her life for the best by attending The Choosing (Witch Chosen) and now is still dealing with the consequences.

Rose has barely started her training however, she has already faced danger beyond her wildest dreams and barely managed to survive. But that is not the worst, that would be not to know which side she’s fighting for, because the witches keep alarming secrets. The race to unearth the truth has begun, yet the price to pay might be altogether too high.

Interesting and well-written, this is a serialized arc-story, that should be read in chronological order as every book build on the previous one. Due to its relatively short length (100-120 pages) they are fast and satisfying reads, where a balanced mix of action and character development

After becoming one of the Protectors, Rose is now subject to their training - physical, magical, but also mental. Because the more Rose sees, the more she rebels against their practices, but she also starts to understand the other women might be in similar position - with no other choice, trying to survive.. because the evil seems to reside in the palace.
I was excited reading this novella, so much that I devoured it in a very short time. My heart was aching for the fated couple, especially after Rose saw Asher's full hatred of the Protectors. Now, just like the witches have their secrets, she must keep hers, else she will destroy any chance for love and peace - but lying also does not feel right. Rose is pushed into challenging situations, holding onto her morals even if she could pay for it, yet going on a mission brings her face to face with maybe the biggest burden she'll have to keep secret, too.

Unique, Enticing, Magical!

This whole series is so unique, and I am hooked. The FMC is so likeable with her personality but also a total warrior with how she powers through things that come her way.

The author does an amazing job setting up the world and placing the information you need without it feeling forced, especially in this book which is all about magical knowledge and world knowledge.

The characters are well written and even the ones I loathe, or the side characters have substance, which is a complete credit to how awesome the author is.

You totally have to read the others in this series to understand this one, so if you haven’t already go, go, go, you won’t regret it!

A great book about the hard choices people face

Rose, newly pledged reluctant protector, is back from the war front and is determined to save Sirena and Asher from the fate that they now face. As the story progresses secrets are revealed that lead to larger questions, hard lessons are taught, and the tests she faces have no right answers. Lisa Morrow’s Witch Secrets is a great book about the hard choices people face whether in love or at war. I assume the choices Rose makes will only get harder from here as she is forced on this journey.

I read this book with my Kindle Unlimited subscription and I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.

Rose is back in the Glass Castle and has very few options open. She’s become what she’s learned to hate, helped save Tarak, and is absolutely miserable.

Not seeing how she can maintain her Roseness in the midst of being a Protector, Rose is determined to find a way to free herself and save those she lives.

The things she learns as she begins her training only increase her inner struggle. And when Blair decides a test is needed and Clarissa will be the proctor? Rose realized that morality and war are sometimes at odds. How will she figure things out? The only way to know is by reading Witch Secrets and following it up with Witch Lies!

This is book 3 in the series and you need to have read the previous book first.
Rose is now back at the glass castle and is being trained as a protector but she's unsure who she should believe and trust.
She has a chance to find Asher, her One, but he is so determined to destroy all Protectors that she must continue to hide things from him.
This book fills in quite a few gaps in Roe's knowledge, but there is still so much she doesn't know. However, she now has more motivation for the final battle that will shortly begin, but is still unsure which side she should be on and how she is suppose to fulfil the prophecy.

There are so many secrets added in this book and still existing. I want to find out the truth behind all these secrets and what they mean for the characters along with the plot. And the characters definitely have some hard choices to make in this book. The book and story sucked me in and I didn’t want to put it down since I needed answers so badly. I still need a lot of answers and am excited for the next book to get more answers. I enjoy getting to see Rose learn more about her magic and what’s going on in this world. I hope to see her grow even more in the next book. This is a really great series!

This is the third installment on the series and I was so excited to see what happened next. And Lisa morrow didn't disappoint. Rose has to fight and train for her future, with action scenes really on point. Although this is the third book, if follows on beautifully from the second and you could really read the series back to back as a mammoth of a story. There's more twists and turns and the details were spectacular. Really enjoyed it and can't wait to see what happens next! It really leaves you craving more.

I enjoyed reading this book from the moment that I picked it up. It moves along at a speed which made for an enjoyable read, not too fast nor too slow. The characters are amazing and you feel as though you know them and no matter what you want to be there for them. The story will grab you and keep your interest from beginning to end and when you get to the end you are anting to know more. This is a must read, there is no doubt about it.

This is the third book in this series and it keeps hefting more and more interesting. In this book we get to see more of Rose’s training as she becomes more determined to change the way things are. Slowly we are seeing her come into her own as we learn more about the Protectors as well. Sucked right back in to the World that Lisa Morrow has created and didn’t want to leave at the end. Cannot wait to find out what happens next! 💜🖤

This book and series has been really good. I am thoroughly hooked and intrigued.
Choices are the main plot point here and just trying to do the right thing...even if you don't want or feel up for the job.
The characters have all come a long way amd there is decent advancement in their individual characters. Taking responsibility is key.
A must read of you've read the first two in the series so far.

Wow these may be short little novellas but they are jam packed with story. I love this series, she doesn't waste any writing. It is absolutely one of the best short serials I've ever read. I absolutely love it. If you have a kid who likes fantasy I definitely 10/10 recommend this series. I'm sure they would love it. It is a fabulous little set of books about a witch.

This 3rd book in the Order of the Cursed is not to be missed! The only bad part is that I have to wait until March for the last one! Rose is working with and against the order and has to be careful to not go too far either way! She wants to save her friends and her One, a wizard, while also protecting all of Tarak from the undead wizards. What will happen next?!

So many twists and turns for Rose and Asher. I love this story. Each book has thrown us deeper into the clutches of the Order but there is still something more evil lurking in the shadows. I am really enjoying watching Rose grow through the book and I can wait to see what happens next. Still so many questions! Gah! Can’t wait for more!!

I have loved every story of Rose's so far with each book getting better and better. The more time Rose spends as a Protector she finds out everything is not as it seems. She learns more about Blair and Meisha, as well as Asher and his story. She must also find out why the Fate thinks she can end the war. I can't wait to see what comes next!!

This is the third book in the series and we continue to find out more about the Protectors. No one is who they seem and all are wearing masks to survive. Rose is struggling in her morality throughout this one. We get some answers but there are even more questions. The war is beginning again and what can Rose do to stop it? Hopefully we’ll find it in the next book. I’m ready!

We begin Witch Secrets with Rose back with the protectors and now in training. There is so much wonderful world building and story telling in The Order of the Cursed series, that each book draws you back into the world. I really enjoyed learning more about the protectors, and that not is all that it appears. I was also happy to see Asher make an appearance. I cannot wait for book 4!
