There would be more tests, more challenges, of that I was certain. The order of witches had already made me do awful things, and they weren't done yet. I wanted to save the world, but the price was becoming too much.
What was more, I knew Asher was my One. My soul mate. Fated to be with me. And yet, we might never have the chance to be together, even if we survive.
The final battle was coming. Our enemies out-numbered and out-powered us. But if we lose this fight, our lives and the lives of everyone we love will be destroyed.
So I guess we needed to win...
The Order of The Cursed is a young adult fantasy series of novellas with an epic adventure and a splash of sweet romance. It has witches, magic, secrets, and a tale you won't soon forget. (This book was previously released in the Protectors of Tarak series.)
Lisa Morrow is a life-long reader who treasures fantasy in all forms. Being a middle child in a large family gave her a unique perspective on the world, but few experiences compare to her time spent studying abroad in Cambridge, England and wandering throughout Europe.
After her travels, Lisa settled down in Arizona to teach junior high English, and later, to spend time with her young children, husband, and cats. To some people, her life may seem quiet. But to her, every day is spent in a world colored by the imagination of children, and fantastical worlds created by her very own mind.

This was a fab conclusion to the awesome series! From the start I have been hooked and eagerly read each book as it came out. It’s exciting and so full of twists and turns and I am sorry that it has come to en end. Some Questions have been answered in this incredible adventurous and epic ending though some have not leading to believe we may yet get more or even maybe a spin off series? Great story throughout , great characters especially Rose and yes I would love to read more from this author.
One of the advantages of cutting one big book into four novella's, is that you can read them in between other books and in one sitting. The first books in this series were awesome and really introduced us to the characters, the world and the conflict. And this book marks the finale of the series, the finale of the original full length book. And I was very excited to see how all the pieces of the puzzle would eventually fit together!
And the book totally didn't disappoint. Everything we learned in the previous books was important and came together in this book. We finally got to meet some goddesses our main character has been calling upon and although we had already seen so much of the world and had already met so many characters, Morrow still managed to introduce us to new characters and to show us some parts of the world we hadn't seen before.
The epic finale of this book also truly was an epic finale. Quite often those epic fights only last a few pages and then it's over, but in this case it really was a big part of the last novella. The fight was ugly and heavy and far from easy. I know that saying goodbye to characters is always hard, but I personally feel they give weight to a conflict. As a reader you really realize that it is bad, because people you know, and maybe like, don't make it.
This book, although it's for sure not the last book in this world, also marks the end of the story of our heroine and her One. I think she had an amazing journey, one where her beliefs and love were constantly tested and although she learned to listen to others and to understand their point of view, she didn't give up who she was deep inside and she never lost track of her morals and the lines she would never cross.
I really enjoyed this story and I can't wait to read more books set in this world! There are so many more stories to tell!
This book feels like it is the end but also feels like it's not. Though the battle is here and it is an epic battle at that, there is much to be wanted for after. I feel like this is the end of one road but it could very well take us down an alternate path. The other path being more focused on or main character and her One, and then finding a way to get the roses changed back. I definitely feel like we will see more of this world in the future.
The first books in this series were excellent and they really introduced us to the characters, the world, and the conflict. This book marks the finale of the series (according to other reviews I read this is where the original full-length book ended) and brings things together, ties up a few ends, and gives us some answers. It does leave us wanting more so be warned on that front!
The ending didn't disappoint, it was worth the wait to get to this point. We got to meet some of the goddesses that the main character had been calling upon, finally! And even though we had already seen so much of the world from the other books as well as many characters Lisa Morrow still managed to introduce us to a few more new characters and to show us even more of the world we hadn't seen before.
I think our FMC had a fantastic journey. She was constantly tested both physically and mentally, her beliefs were pushed to the brink, and had found that love could be both a blessing and a curse. On this whole journey, she was faced with self-doubt and she was always learning and growing into a better person. She never once gave up who she was deep down, she never lost track of her beliefs, and she never crossed the lines that she set for herself. She is a flawed character but that is what makes her real and human- she is easy to relate to and even easier to want to see succeed.
The end of the series but is it the end of the storey ?? Alot of answers to alot of questions but the storey doesnt feel finished. Some twists and turns and a few surprises Really enjoyed this series as its a nice change of pace to what i normally read.
Great finale to this series of novellas full of magic, goddesses, and love facing many challenges. Rose knew it wouldn't be easy to defeat the wizards, but the one person who brings hope to her, is the one that brings hope to everyone, as his very existence creates a loophole in Persephone's promise for revenge. The final battle will be crushing, and demanding ultimate sacrifices.. Aside from enjoying how everything comes together in this final installment, how every piece of information falls into place and plays a role in the story, I also enjoyed that the author still managed to bring new characters and new places into the story without feeling off, misplaced, rushed, or just added because she wanted to. It created a vivid picture, revealed many secrets, and maybe even set the course for another story in the universe. Asher and Rose's relationship was turbulent, but no one can ignore the strongest feelings in their heart, and meeting his parents definitely helped Asher realize he is not considering every angle, he is not understanding what is going on. It was a very fast read, I just picked it up while still reading a different book, devoured it in one go, and am returning back to finish the previous one.
Witch Lies brings a conclusion to the Order of the Cursed series by Lisa Morrow.
Rose has learned so much in so little a time and still feel ill-equipped and unworthy of all that is being placed on her shoulders. Hating the Protectors for what they’ve done to her life and the lives of those she cares about, she’s still determined to get away and rescue her best friend.
Discoveries that could end the war with the Undead Wizards are shocking to say the least. With Asher by her side, Rose faces her destiny and begins the arduous task of saving Tarak.
Morrow finishes the series with many questions left unanswered, but the last pages leave openings for follow-up books and spin-off series to be written.
Rose doesn't feel like she is truly ready to face the undead wizards. Rose is given some information that leads her to believe Asher is the key to stopping the war. Rose has yet to tell Asher the truth about her being a protector, even she doesn't want to be one. Rose wants to save Tarak and the roses. Rose and the others face the undead wizards in battle, that has unexpected reveals. Rose and Asher will have decisions to make, will they make the right ones.
This was a nice ending to story, there are some things that aren't explained in this book. The author might come back to series. I really enjoyed this book/ series, there are so major twists in book.
The final battle is at hand, and Rose is no closer to saving Sirena. With the power of the Goddesses True Names, she may yet be able to find Asher and save Tarak from the Undead Wizards, if the Oracle has seen truly. So much depending upon so little feels like defeat before the battle has even been waged.
Book 4 concludes this portion of the Protector's tale, and it is action packed to the very end. You may think you know what happens, but you're never going to believe this... dive in and see for yourself!
This is the forth novella and the end of the story... For now. There's still more I wanna see and want to know. The possibilities are endless. The novellas are a great way to tell this story. Giving us short reads that you can do on a day off or when you have some small time free. The characters were great, loved the magic and romance side of this YA tale. And the conclusion with the big battle, the fight for survival was fantastic and we'll executed. I enjoyed reading this series and will definitely excited to see what comes next for this author and more of this world.
I wasn’t sure this series could get any better, but I was wrong! This book was everything I wanted and more!
I don’t want to spoil anything, but this was so epic, secrets get revealed and while I’m sure there are plenty to go, I was in shock!
The plot of this book is just amazing, it’s well-thought-out, written well and above all is amazing in terms of its contents. I have never read a YA series with a plot this amazing, intense and gripping!
*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.
The battle we have been waiting for is finally here. Rose doesn't feel even close to ready though which makes things interesting to say the least. Makes for a fascinating finale that answers all our questions wrapping up the story as a whole. I feel like this could lead to more though or maybe that is just wishful thinking. Who knows? Makes for a great read though as it all plays out. I highly recommend it. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.
This whole series had me on the edge of my seat as I read. This last installment was fantastic and it also left many open ended questions for future books. Rose is battling to do what she needs even though she feels like she is not ready for the responsibility put on her but she is dead set on doing what she has to to save her friend. Lots of ups and downs, twists and turns that have you all tangled up in the story. Lisa Morrow does a fabulous job ending this series but also leaves herself wiggle room for future stories. Fantastic!! 💜🖤
This is book 4 and the final one in the series and you need to have read the other 3 first. Rose is still unsure what part she will play in the war with the wizards, but she knows she needs Asher by her side - for as long as she can hide from him that she is a protector. Rose learns a few more truths in this book, and a lot more things make sense. There is quite a twist with who Ashers dad is and again it puts a new perspective on a few things. Although this is the ending for Asher and Rose, it doesn't feel like the end of the story quite yet.
Lots of action in this one as well as drama between the FMC and her love interest. Lies come back to haunt you at the most inopportune times. The big battle between the protectors and the undead wizards was a big highlight since we’ve been leading up to this for three books. I can’t tell if there’s going to be more of this series or not. It ends at a pretty good place but with some significant plot issues unresolved. So I’m hoping for a book 5.
Amazing read. The saga continues in this book. Rose is trying her hardest to try and find a way to win the war without risking the people she loves. Mores secrets and lies unfold in this book and more is revealed. Hearts may be broken and many bones. But Rose rises to the challenge in each and every way. This is a fantastic book and I hope we get to see more of these characters and hear more about their stories.
I loved this book but it left me wanting for answers. I feel like Rose and Asher’s story is not finished yet. I see that there is a new series set in the same world coming out at some point this year so I hope to see more of them and get those answers.
Even with my questions this series was such a good one. I definitely recommend reading it. The epic ending battle was worth it all!
This is what we call an HFN, happy for now, or so it seems. It appears there will be more in this world. Which is excellent, because this is an awesome YA serial. There is excellent character development and world development in such a short story. It is amazing what she has done within the parameters she set for herself. I really enjoyed this little serial and was sad to see it end. But I am sure to enjoy the next ones to be set in this world.
For a series that started off well the ending seemed rushed. There wasn’t a gentle close to the storyline but an abrupt “let’s just wrap this up - I’m bored with this now” vibe to it.
The books also need a good review and edit. It was riddled with typos and grammar errors. Heras name had changed Hestia was mentioned twice in a list of 11 goddesses and then a completely different goddess was called upon when she needed fire.
Witch Lies by Lisa Morrow is the fourth book in this phenomenal series. This finale to this set ends with a bang, but certainly sets up what is sure to come next. I loved getting to know these characters and the writer has really left me wanting to know more, so I'll definitely be checking out the next series!
So many questions have been finally answered! Asher and Rose have been through so much and Asher just received the bombshell of all bombshells being dropped on them. I am sad to see this part of the story end, but I hope that at some point the author will revisit this world as I have quite enjoyed my stay in it.
This is the final book in the series and it does not disappoint. It wraps up the series quite nicely and concludes in a happy for now ending. Quite a few questions are wrapped up in this book including a couple of twists I did not see coming. However, it leaves enough incomplete that the author could easily do a spin off series.
This is an interesting four and final installment to Rose and Asher's story. This has a happy for now ending that leaves the world open for spin offs. There are a few unanswered questions as well. This is full of magic and trials. I really enjoyed the character and plot development through this series.
Witch Lies was a rollercoaster finale full of action and heartbreak! Lisa Marrow was still able to throw in some interesting twists and an ending that will leave readers mouth opens! This book leaves room for more with these characters or even spinoffs, so I do not think this is the end of Rose and her men or this world.
Finally Rose uncovers some truths to who she is and her purpose in the war. She finds out more about her mother as well and her role in the events that will take place. Her relationship with Asher takes a turn in this book and we also find out his purpose and who his parents really are, which was a complete shock. I really loved this YA series!
Really enjoyed the finale to this series. It was a great YA read, fast paced, energetic and full of magic and adventure. I really enjoyed Roses story and the challenges she face throughout the series. And this finale really wrapped it all up neatly. You get the final battle at the end and a wonderful conclusion to the tale. Really easy to read and a great series!
This is the final book in this series. There were some questions unanswered and lots of new characters introduced. I have a feeling we’ll be seeing more of this world. The final showdown with Rose and the undead wizards was epic. Rose had to learn so much in a very short time in order to save her world. This was a great series.
This series just gets better and better. There were so many different secrets revealed in this book. It broke my heart a few times too. Rose is so torn with everything going on. She knows she has to be the one to end the war. She also knows that she wants to be with Asher more than anything. She finds a strength I don't think she knew she had.
This book was an awesome way to end the series. Rose and Asher have more trials and tribulations ahead and I was amazed at how things turned out. I hope there are more of these books to come. Witches and wizards are not that different after all.
This was a fantastic read, with evil, an epic battle, sacrifices, love and a new understanding. While not quite a happy ever after ending it still was a good ending and I can't wait for the next book.
A great ending to this set. I’m happy there seems to be a spin off coming. The author closed out all of the main quests with some twists and set up the next series perfectly. The ending is satisfying while leaving the reader ready for the next book in this world.
