Sentient: A Novel

Rate this book
Against a backdrop of pain and regret driven by nightmares and memories of his darkest hour, Alex’s existence is defined almost entirely by his desire to navigate the dark waters of a public opinion at odds with his own, in a relentless pursuit of liberation for all animals.
Renowned for his calm, tolerant, and affable approach, he is becoming increasingly frustrated and impatient with what he considers an unacceptable rate of progress.
‘We need something big,’ he confesses to Louise. ‘Something seismic'.

I couldn’t put this book down it was brilliant, it kept me guessing until the end! The writing style just flowed and was so easy to read. A must read for ethical vegans and a potentially life changing read for anybody else!

It has a love story, arguments, struggles, friendships, regrets, passion, hope and a stunning ending. It was an easy yet compelling read.

Okay, I'll be honest, not the best written book I've ever read. But it was refreshing to read a book about vegans and vegan activists and the lengths people will go for animal liberation. It has heart, and character growth, and drama. It's a decent read.
