Bueno.
He acabado posponiendo mis lecturas de novela porque el enganche es real. No me arrepiento de nada. Me recuerda mucho cuando leía Tokyo Ghoul y esperaba que saliesen los capítulos traducidos cada semana. Necesito más mangas como estos.

PD: Johannes es mi personaje favorito ahora mismo. Le quiero demasiado.

I watched the anime for this this weekend and it reminded me how much I loved the first 2 volumes so I finally read volume 3. It was soooo good! I forgot how much I love the main characters and the relationship in this and I'm really excited to read more!

(I also heard it's finishing soon so I can binge the whole thing!)

I love vampire-devils stories and I’m growing attached to the main characters, Anzai and Tsukasa, but especially in this volume there were quite a few mentions of (tw) r*pe.
It hasn’t actually happened within the story yet thankfully (as in like drawn out on the pages, it’s inferred to), and I know a big manga series that I want to start called Berzerk has scenes like this too… I just worry if I’m in a bad headspace that it will trigger me.
The characters are likeable and the story is dark with good action scenes, so I do want to carry on with this series. I just hope a graphic scene of *that* nature doesn’t just visually come out of nowhere. My hesitations made me unable to rate this one higher than 3 stars.

I didn’t think it was possible for this manga to keep on delivering, but it is! We’re going 3 for 3 with another fantastic action-packed volume.

I cannot get over how brilliantly the mangaka balances romance and action. And to take it to another level we’ve got the beginnings of a conspiracy and it’s so juicy. The sudden addition of mystery and the air of confusion really adds to the many layers of this story. There are so many avenues that this story could go down next, and I’m really intrigued to see what will happen.

I will say that it is a little difficult to keep all the character straight in my head when some of them look a bit similar and there’s a lot of characters. But apart from that, this is basically perfect.

I'm still loving this vampire love story with a nice mix of brutal murderer and racism sprinkled in.

The very fact that we have a big conspiracy and the main enemies are actually hiding amongst the "cops" or "good" people is awesome to watch instead of some big mystery. On top of that the romance here remains engaging and cute and the best part about it is I'm really starting to like Johannes a lot in this volume. But Anzai actually gets to shine in the final chapter of this book as someone trying to help a Devil who isn't used to controlling himself.

Overall, a nice breather from the last intense volume though there's still some shocking twist and turns here. The ending is my favorite part I believe and we lead up to a chase coming up that is sure to be epic. Still digging this one a lot.

Comienza a hacer más hincapié en el sufrimiento de los vampiros y el odio ciego de algunos humanos a estos... y como los humanos pueden ser aún peor. Poco a poco se va planteando el pasado de Anzai y como controlarse gracias a los consejos que recibe de... lo dejo al aire mejor los mayores detalles.

En resumidas cuentas, esta obra está siendo toda una grata sorpresa para mí francamente. Deseando devorar el cuarto tomo.

3.5 ⭐️ Still really liking the series overall and I have a feeling that I’m gonna love it as a whole, but this volume was just very slow paced, like VERY slow.

But we are getting more insight in to our characters and more relationship growth and a lot more drama. I am excited to start the next volume!

This volume is the best so far, the plot really got complicated and just WOW.
I really like how they are addressing the issue of how vampires are stigmatized and discriminated against, I think the approach to this issue is handling well.
The story is getting more and more interesting, it seems that there is still a lot to discover and I like romance more and more.

P.S. I think that everyone in this manga would have to watch TVD and to clarify the issue of vampires with blood.

This volume was probably the weakest so far, but it was still really good. I like new level of mystery with anzai and lee. I enjoy how the author doesn’t shy away from the idea of sex and whatnot between anzai and tsukasa. Overall, still a solid volume.

Acá sí empiezo a notar diferencias con el anime. Hay información que considero importante para entender un poco más sobre todo.

Anzai-san sigue reacio a que Tsukasa se le acerque porque piensa que puede lastimarla. De todas formas no tiene mucho tiempo para pensar en eso ya que siguen los problemas. Ya no recuerdo si fue en este tomo o en el anterior el atentado en la plaza pero la muerte de uno de los miembros del grupo anti-vampiros es presenciada por el pobre Katagiri-san (el vampiro del bar). Así que obviamente mandan a un matón para que lo elimine. Por suerte, Katagiri-san se puso en contacto con el líder del escuadrón y justo quedan en encontrarse cuando él es atacado.

A pesar de haber una prohibición de acción para los vampiros policías, Anzai-san junto con Hans Lee (quién ahora nos enteramos que fue criado por ONLO y tiene un nombre medio complejo) lo van a rescatar.

Hay todavía muchas cosas que no se saben y estoy super intrigada *.*

El tomo también tiene un capítulo extra que cuenta sobre un vampiro que trabaja en una estación de tren. Él esta enamorado de una compañera pero a penas se atreve a mirarla porque tiene miedo de transformarse. No sé porqué pero hasta ahora todos los vampiros sufren constantemente porque no pueden detener el cambio cuando se excitan o ven la sangre. Éste hombre piensa que es mejor si no existiera así que cuando justo se da cuenta que lo está por atropellar un tren, su compañera -a la que él quiere- lo intenta salvar y a su vez, Anzai-san los salva a ambos jajajajaj.

Esto cada vez se pone mejor. Lástima que no hubo mucho contacto con Tsukasa-san.

this one didn't make as much plot progress as the previous volumes. we sorta spent the whole thing circling around a single plot point with a few character intros and deaths. but still really fun!

Man... again I'm just blown away by how much I've been enjoying this storyline. Once I finish this manga series I might try to find the anime if there is one.

My only issue is that sometimes the manga jumps around and its hard to follow. For example, one minute we're talking about Anzai and then the next it's a flash back. Sometimes the flashbacks aren't very cohesive but in an anime I'm sure that problem would get taken care of.

And also I hate that Tsukasa always cries :( literally everytime anyone mentions Anzai she cries. But again, in an anime I'm sure that would be taken care of. On paper though, it's frustrating to see her cry every two pages.

Okay, okay, so the art style has improved from the last volume, but it's still not as good as the first. It honestly really just picked up where the last one left off as far as PLOT goes, the bonus story at the end was real cute and I liked it, and we did have one mandatory romance scene between Anzai and Tsukasa~.
Okay, so, honestly, I read this more for the romance between Anzai and Tsukasa, and I'm finding out that isn't meant to be the main focus. Honestly, I should have known from the start. The PLOT is cool, kinda overdone, kinda cheesy, yeah... The lore is better. All this... organization stuff... I don't know. It just isn't hitting me right currently. I do like Hans Lee, or I guess, Johannes Kleiman now. Surprise, surprise, Hans Lee is just what he likes to call himself. ONLO seems to be a big thing for reasons I don't care enough to delve into but I do understand. We get to see Oryo (hah, Oreo) again, that's nice. I almost forgot about him. I like the girls he works with, well, I just really like the little world he's made for himself after what happened to him. Just like his co-workers said, he really is a little breath of fresh air. There was again lots of build up in this one, like the past two. Build up to WHAT though, is beginning to be my question, and is beginning to bore me. I reeeally just wanna see Anzai and Tsukasa hook up already. Though, for PLOT reasons, that would end up killing her, so it's probably not gonna happen anytime soon, if it has even happened at all yet. But it's bound to happen before the series finishes. If it doesn't, I'll be shocked.
Well~ on to the next one.

Anzai can’t bring himself to believe Hans Lee that human blood can heal a ‘devil’ in spite of the evidence of his own body. Still, Hans is a convincing young man and he and Anzai settle into an uneasy alliance. Anzai seems better equipped to understand what a powder keg that tidbit is.

The rest of it (and it seemed short as far as a volume is concerned) deals with the Machiavellian power plays of the organization that seems to be fomenting a war between the devils and the humans, including the assassination of some of the devils. The transgendered one who might be a witness at a place Anzai knows is targeted.

It’s still interesting but the story seems to be inching along. There was a side story at the end to help fluff up the page count because like I said, this is a bit on the short side. I’m enjoying it but the story’s pacing needs a bit of work.

I really enjoyed jumping back into Devils’ Line! I absolutely loved the sweet scene between Anzai and a sleeping Tsukasa as well as the back and forth conversation about ketchup between Anzai and Hanlee! 😂
