This is a very different book from what someone might guess from the title. It’s a story of the cheated finding their way to a HEA. Interesting that Alison, the MC, lays the seeds for her husband to cheat on their first date.
Although this book is a solid erotic novel, there’s a lot to unpack about Alison’s journey from a cheated wife to a happily married, including the characters she meets along the way, and her friends/family who support her.
If you’re looking for a light romp, this isn’t the story for you. If you’re interested in Alison’s journey from being cheated to a successful new relationship, I think you’ll enjoy the story.
This story does a very good job of analyzing the issues surrounding preconceptions and the mistakes that can be made by holding to them. Questions like: why do we think that? Are our preconceptions the most important thing to hold to? The author never asks these questions directly. But if you follow Alison’s journey, analyze her thinking, it leads the reader look at themselves.
I’m feeling 5 Stars on the basis of what Alison learns on her journey.
