A haunting selection of Eve's favorite chilling real ghost stories bound into one amazing collection. In this delicious anthology you will read some of the creepiest real-life paranormal encounters that have happened all over the world.
This book was entertaining enough but it was really cliche. There were several Ouija Board related stories, as well as multiple "person" helping who wasn't there at all or was already dead stories. There wasn't anything original or unique in this collection of stories than in any other ghost story book. Also, there was one story that was repeated with a different title (chapters 5 and 25). The narrator had a decent voice for narration, but I thought it was really distracting that she did different voices for some of the stories. Her doing accents or trying to do a male voice somewhat took me out of the stories. Overall I thought it was ok, but nothing spectacular.
Some of these stories actually hit home for me. The one about the radio playing a song by itself. That happened to me. When my grandma passed at 7am my radio came in at 6am. Gotta get a message to you. One more hour and my life will be through by the Bee-Gees.. There were several other stories I could relate to. All in all a fascinating book. An author I will definitely read more of!
I enjoyed this book for the plain, honest stories of people's experiences. They seem like the unelaberated versions and make them more credible. I know to many these stories would seem far fetched, but not to the ones who have experienced such paranormal things. I have read several books by Eve. S. Evens and have enjoyed them. This book was no exception. I will be looking at further books from this author.
50 Terrifying Real Ghost Stories is an intriguing read. It makes you wonder just what else is in our world. I really enjoyed this collection. I read and reviewed this book with no obligation.
