Wow, the plot is really trying to move things forward! I'm not exactly convinced that the core theme has taken a convincing turn toward "university living" per se, but the girls do seem to be seeking their "purpose" in their dark and dangerous world. I'm also not a fan of the "fan service" that seems to be increasing with each volume. And I really miss the creepiness that has disappeared completely (hopefully only temporarily) from these books. But I find myself no less hooked. I really care about the School Living Club and I want to know what becomes of them.

The girls finally find the university.
One of the problems is that the university is divided into two groups. A group of people who are extreme and look for others who know how to fight and another who is more peaceful and doesn't worry about leaving their comfort zones.
Once they are welcomed by the peaceful group they unveil other mysteries and make plans to look for the laboratory in which the virus appears to have originated.
The other group seems very interested in what they know and I'm anxious to know if there will be a new confrontation.

Pretty boring volume. The characters lounge around at college. As usual, all the major new characters are cute girls. While there are a few males who appear, of course one of them gets infected pretty quick and none of them are major characters. One gets the impression that to survive, it helps if you are a girl. Also, the fan service is up, with a few idiotic close ups of a character’s derrière and other excuses for that sort of thing. Blah.

I'm honestly surprised how something as simple as changing the setting from a high school to a university has made me feel like I'm reading a whole other manga. It's not a bad thing, I like it. It's a good way to prevent monotony, as in The Walking Dead series. Although, unlike TWD series, things in this manga are starting to feel like a whole new genre. It was smart to incorporate the little seeds of mystery throughout the story before arriving at the university because I was so swept up in the story I didn't even notice the change right away. But with the conclusion of this volume, I'm definitely seeing the beginning of a whole new story/genre and I'm definitely interested in seeing how these things will either work to continue incorporating the original MCs or push us away from them. =/ (I'll be lying if I said I didn't miss Miss Megumi.)

4🌟

My theory that Ruu-chan is the teddy bear and Rii-chan is seeing it as her sister due to guilt, sadness, denialism or whatever is basically confirmed with the panel of the reflection in one of the new girls' glasses of Rii-chan and what looks like the top of a teddy bear in her arms.

Other than that the story is ok. Kurumi is still somewhere between human and zombie what with being cold and not being detected by zombies like normal people. For me the story is not anything amazing and the characters and plot are quite shallow but it is enjoyable enough to read.

A huge number of new cast members are added and my interest plummets further. This is a transition point for the series as it moves beyond its insular beginnings. Do we really need an EPIC cute girls vs. zombies saga? And all that fan service?

This volume had to set up a lot of exposition to explain more about the people the girls had found and what the community nearby was like, so it just didn't hit as hard as the other ones.
I do love the librarian character though!

Oh my god, a male character has finally appeared! I was starting to think this was one of those series where every speaking role would be a woman.

Our four girls (plus recently rescued little girl) meet others at the university.

So-so. I'm still bought in enough to read the next volume.

They got to go to college after all.

For an apocalypse, they're doing all right at keep life somewhat "normal."

Tons of new characters were introduced here.

This is yet another manga that dumps in a bunch of new characters and leaves the reader high and dry. The only consistent feature of this series is the fan service.

This volume is kind of slow compared to earlier ones, with more annoying fanservice. Still, there's some actual plot building going on.
