A fun and informative book. The illustrations in particular are brilliant. Just note that the book was published in 1979 and a few pieces of information are outdated, such as the use of a riding helmet secured with an elastic chin strap, which would not longer meet safety requirements. I'll also hazard a guess that Pony Club membership is now higher than £3 a year, but up to date information on that would be easy enough to find. Other than that, it holds up well, especially as an introductory book.
