I loved this series. Hated to see it end.

This has been one of the best series of books that I have had the pleasure of reading for a long time. The characters are well developed with a very good and believable story line especially the rioting and stealing oh yeah let's not forget the burning and shooting being done by the lowlife.

July 17, 2021The story was great! Five books in the series and this is the last book! Does need some editing, ie: laid was used when it should have been lay, passed when it should have been past and you're when it should have been your. However, I did like the series! But, I would like to know WHAT HAPPENED TO CLYDE?

A fun read
I read a lot and I love long series or long novels. I normally like things that have a realistic bent to them. Sometimes you get a story that seems a little far fetched or has characters that continue to make bad decisions that drive me crazy. I am happy to say that this group of characters went from one incredible situation to another, yet I continued to want to read these books. An excellent storyline. I did get a little exasperated about the different characters continually referring to their pistols as a “piece”. Having one character with that affectation would be okay, but not every character.
Overall, a fun group of books to read. I am now going to go check out some of the other books written by this author. I find that I like his overall style of writing. Kept me reading...

A very exciting and thrilling story. Kept my interest up the whole way through. Was easy to become attached to Russell and his friends and praying nothing would happen to them as they search for Sarah. Great build up to the end of the story. The five books flowed really nicely and I loved them. Well worth the read!

Take the long way home...
I finished the series. Enjoyed all five books. Kept me entertained. A great story of ordinary people who stepped up during a natural disaster that forced them to do things to keep themselves alive by doing anything to accomplish that goal. (Runner sentence).
Definitely recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a great read. Enjoy.

Was very happy reading a book by a new author Derek Snupert
I thought it WAS just another zombie/end of the world story. It was a lot more. We saw a group of mobster . the victim who was written so well through out the story and the "love sick" man Spencer, who again was extremely interesting character.
On to the next book!

My Musings
I'm so glad Sarah and Russell finally found each other. While the writing is choppy at times, the characters and the story is exciting with non stop action. This series has been a rollercoaster ride. Happy ☺reading 📚!

Good book
Very good book. Kept you on the edge waiting to see what happened next. A little wordy at times but enjoyed it. If you like apocalyptic books, I suggest reading this series.

Totally Unbelievable
The series started off ok but then it went to the totally unbelievable. 1 person vs 3 mob families?? Too many loose ends. Much of the redundancy could have been spent making all the characters and the situations more believable.

Loved this series! Kept you drawn in and wondering what would happen next! Loved the characters and how good ppl who were strangers pulled together during tough times! My husband and I both binged this series!

An expected ending. This series of books was action packed. It needed some editing. I felt there were loose ends left. What happened to poor Clyde with his punctured foot? Thomas's dog is mentioned in the end but not Thomas himself. Great effort overall.

Finally Russell and their group are able to make it back and begin their search for Sarah. Outside forces continue to stand in the way. The series winds up with a bang in this exciting conclusion.

Great ending! Phew! I was worried about what you were going to do as I neared the end of this book. I kept thinking there were a couple ways it could go! I was happy with the path you chose!

October 4, 2025Fight Back is a strong finish to Survive the Fall — intense, emotional, and packed with enough action to satisfy longtime fans. Not perfect, but a very worthy conclusion. 4 stars.
