He planned to find a wife. He never expected to fall in love.
When Hamilton travels to an exclusive matchmaking resort, it was to meet the right woman. Someone who didn't need his money, and didn't mind his shyness or his stutter. Someone he could learn to love over time.
Instead, his heart is stolen by Jane, a maid who helps bring the color back into his black and white world. She's nothing he was looking for, but might be everything he didn't know he needs.
Fall in love with this sweet billionaire novella, a prequel to The Billionaire Surprise Series!

This was a lovely short story about finding love in the most unexpected of places.
What starts off as a retreat to find himself a wife with an elite match making service soon turns into a mishap of events that ultimately lead him to the love of a lifetime. Jane makes a small blunder while working as a maid but this blunder has a huge impact on Hamilton. What Jane than does to rectify the problem, and further sweet things she does helps to build a budding romance. But she is just the maid not the one he is suppose to be matched with. But sometimes the heart knows what the heart wants.
Was such a lovely sweet story. The characters were relatable and their chemistry was a slow burn that I thoroughly enjoyed.
This had lots of elements from one of my favorite movies as a teen, Maid in Manhattan. Lots of insta-love but I totally fell for it. That first scene where Hamilton is frustrated in his hotel room with clothes strewn about everywhere and he is stuttering while struggling to express himself just burrowed itself into my heart. I loved Jane’s diffusing response and right then and there I totally bought their connection. It’s a super quick read, shorter than what it seems because the epilogue ends at approx 75% into the book. I also appreciated that the drama of the ending didn’t have any scenes where the H and h jump to crazy conclusions and spend weeks sulking before anything is resolved. This had a quick sweet HEA. Rating: G, clean, sweet
This was a cute, short read. Honestly the only reason it didn’t get higher then a 3 stars is because the quick I’m in love stories just aren’t my favorite. I liked Hamilton. I enjoyed that he wasn’t this perfect alpha character. He had a little too many “imperfections” (his opinion) for me. I thought the stuttering was endearing. The he also had a speech problem with long pauses between words, “blocks”. Add to it he’s color blind. One too many for me. I did really like him though. I also enjoyed Jane. She was caring and natural with him. Didn’t pity him or coddle him. I look forward to reading the next book.
The anxious, lack of confidence billionaire looking for a wife story line was fine, I just had a hard time with the insta-love. Although I liked the focus of it's what's on the inside that counts, Jane was too touchy and forward with someone she didn't even know (ie their first mtg in his hotel room). The whole thing was pretty cheesy and felt rushed. Quite a few of the phrases and the writing style is so similar to that of another author whose books I just read that I had to keep going back and checking which author wrote this book. Not my favorite from this author. I probably won't read it again
I really enjoyed this Cinderella-flavored story. It's fairly predictable, though there is one small twist at the end that I found very satisfying, and Jane & Hamilton's attraction is a little too insta. But it's done well - and sometimes we're in the mood for the more traditional rendering of a trope, as I was tonight, and just really enjoyed ending my exhausting day with a good dose of warm fuzzies
I liked how Hamilton wasn't portrayed as being perfect just because he was wealthy. Many books seem to portray rich characters as having it all so this was a nice surprise. I liked how down-to-earth and humble he was.
Jane was an interesting character despite what she felt was her very plain name. I liked the chemistry of these two characters. Their connection came through despite this being a short story. I felt her sadness, pain and disappointment as well as their joy and connection. Really good read!
Short and sweet but a bit too much of both. Because it was so short the story wasn’t quite as developed as I’d like and there wasn’t time for any real sense of drama or conflict to balance it. Also it was kind of over the top love at first sight. Again if it would have been a bit longer and more developed I would have loved this one. Hamilton was a wonderful guy and had a lot of complexities I would have loved to explore more.
This is a sweet story. I enjoyed that it has a real problem (being color blind). When Hamilton falls for Jane she brings color into his life again. There is the jealous assistant that tries to foul things up also. A quick read just right for an afternoon by the fire on a rainy day. I read it as part of the Sweet Kisses Box Set.
it is a sweet, short read. very cinderella-ish. if you're a fan of that kind of story, this is for you. Both FL & ML have a likeable character. Poor & rich. Unfortunately this is not my cup of tea. I had a hard time finishing this. I lost count how many times I rolled my eyes. Cringey.
