I am incredibly torn on how to rate this book, simply because I struggle with a main element of this series. That aside the rest of the book (plot, characters, pace, writing) is excellent, this is a truly great read. However for me I just can’t get into nor enjoy the very non-consensual spankings and the dubious consent sexual acts that occur towards the beginning of the story. I love this author’s dark and paranormal books that contain similar situations but because it isn’t a real life setting my mind can let go of the rule book there.
Both main characters are well written, believable and full of personality. The suspense element is both engaging and exciting, drawing you into the story and holding your attention. The couple share an incredibly hot chemistry and these books have a very high heat level – don’t say you weren’t warned! I even enjoy the spankings once they become more ‘consensual’ in nature. The pace is excellent and the story has enough twists to really hold your interest. The book can be read standalone in terms of Noah and Zara’s romance. There is a story arc that runs through the previous book and into this one, and whilst the author makes sure you’re caught up enough to enjoy this, it does contain a few spoilers for the previous book.
Sadly, for this series, my mind gets stuck in a shouldn’t, wouldn’t, couldn’t loop. I personally (note it is a me thing) cannot get into the fact that all the guys at Mustang Security find it ok to non-consensually spank women who are strangers to them. I enjoy power exchange books but in a contemporary setting I prefer at least some sort of connection to have been established between the main protagonists before this occurs. The first spanking in this book follows the heroine understandably trying to escape from what to all intents and purposes is her being kidnapped. Noah may be ‘the good guy’ but he is still a stranger to Zara. For me I needed the hero to talk to the heroine, explain very clearly why he wanted to follow a certain route, discuss it with her, take her opinions into account and LISTEN TO THEM, maybe even compromise a little. THEN I could respect him, but to jump straight in with a non-con spanking just makes him seem abusive

Ick!
This woman is totally subjugated. Noah decided he was going to hit her for not doing what he told her (although they were not a couple) and from there and I guess that made them a couple? Not only does he constantly threaten her, he hits her and uses sex as a punishment. I mean she better not do anything he might consider punish-worthy because he’s just looking for reasons. However, he does absolutely nothing wrong and answers to no one. And finally, he and the “guys” like to tell each other when one of their women won’t be able to “sit down for a week”. Sort of an inside, men’s thing they do.
Personally I’d have him arrested for assault and take out an order of protection ... I don’t care how good the making up is.

Zara’s Surrender is the third book in the Wild Mustang Security Firm series and while their romance stands alone, I think it’s best read in order. Zara is an investigative journalist on the hunt for answers and her life is in danger. Noah is a member of the Wild Mustang Security Firm, a huge fan of Zara’s work, and shocked when his dreams of finding the perfect mild mannered woman turns into taming the feisty Zara. But will Noah be able to keep her safe and convince her that she’s his woman?
This book will definitely take you on an adventure, as Noah and Zara try to keep each other safe as they unravel secrets and dangers, and as they both come to terms with their explosive desires. Zara is so independent, not one to wilt when facing danger, so she’s really thrown through a loop when Noah takes her in hand. While she doesn’t want to like or desire Noah, she can’t help what her body craves. Noah is all about keeping Zara safe, no matter what those actions might mean, and if it’s having Zara over his lap for a lesson, all the better in his opinion. I honestly did not like Noah’s character. He was sweet at times, but most often came across as an alpha-hole. It’s hard for me sometimes when both characters are so dominant and strong having a power exchange relationship, especially when there’s dub-con in the storyline. Noah is a member of a security firm. Zara is a reporter who is best friends with the girlfriend of Noah’s partner who works at the firm.
This book is literally smut. It’s porn. There are some of the hottest sex scenes ever in this book. So hot! This book should be read in my opinion with the soul purpose of sex. There’s a beautiful story in there, but lots and lots of hot sex and I for one, LOVE it 😍

It distresses me how much more I wanted to be able to like this book than I’m actually able to. As with the previous books in this series, I still love the mystery and suspense portions of the story. I wasn't a particular fan of either of our lead characters this time. I started out liking Noah, but he went too far too fast for me. Yes, Zara has been involved in a relationship like this before, however Noah’s a complete stranger to her. Instant lust is one thing, instant discipline goes to a place I’m not at all comfortable with. And, once again, we’re treated to a heroine who is independent to a fault and is more concerned with getting to do what she wants, how she wants, than in the safety of herself or anyone else around her.

Noah, Croft’s friend, falls for the feisty and sassy Zara when all he thought he wanted was a mild and meek woman that went along with his every word. That’s not what he gets falling for Zara. She is sexy, independent, strong and adventurous. Will Noah be strong enough to tame the firecracker? Will Zara even want to be tamed?

Once again, Ms. Delta James has created a page-turning mystery-suspense tale with a dominant man, Noah Taylor, and a feisty, strong woman, Zara Hughes. The story will have plenty of angst, suspense, danger, along with passion and possession. If you read Forever Finn (Wild Mustang Security Firm Book 2) it segued into this third story where Finn went to London to meet with Zara before she returned to Croft, but Croft and Noah had followed her to London, and Noah stayed, knowing something was up and to protect Zara.
NOTE: The story is part adventure with life and death danger and part an instant-love romance (eventually.) It does include non-consensual, dubious consent, with a heavy dose of discipline, and many explicit sex scenes.
The plot will have Zara thinking she can write her story, but she is in more danger than she realizes and it will be Noah who will come to her rescue—or is he her warden? In the beginning the chemistry between them runs hot and cold as she tries to take back control and he proves to her that she has no control except to accept his dominance, discipline, and rules.

Another entry is the "Wild Mustang Security Firm", and I can tell no lie: it's 227 pages of spanking threats, spanking innuendo, and, yes, spankings. Also some sex, but it never gets in the way of the spanking.
Delta James is the reigning Queen of Spank, and this is why I love her.
Oh, there's also political intrigue and suspense, a decent story line really, but are you really reading it for that? Me, not really, but it's a nice extra.
I will say, the hero of this tale, Noah, is a bit more coercive that I'm totally comfortable with, not in regards to the spanky stuff, but with the insistence on the insta-soulmate thing with Zara. He's prime grade alphahole with that, but what I'll tolerate IRL doesn't really match what I will in fiction.

I loved this story between Noah and Zara. Even though Noah thinks he wants a quiet woman who will obey him and love him, he is intrigued by Zara. Love it when a man claims to want one thing and ends up with something totally different. We get to travel all over the world and watch as Noah does his best to keep Zara safe. It's funny in parts of it, there is mystery, drama, intrigue and most of all , there are lots of sexy times to keep you turning the pages!!! I loved this story and it will be one that I will reread over and over. Yes, it's that good!!

This is the third book in the series, it can be read as a stand-alone but I recommend reading the series. Noah want a sweet submissive and Zara is finished with dominant men. What will happen when sparks fly between them. Zara is a journalist and now she is in danger, Noah’s job is to keep her safe. What happens when they both find themselves in danger? Fast-paced hot read with loads of drama and steamy chemistry. I was hooked from beginning to end. I really liked it.

I absolutely loved this book and was honored to have been able to read and review. It was such a phenomenal read and had amazing characters as well as an amazing story line. I just could not get enough of it and once I started reading it I could not put it down. I recommend that you read it.

I loved Noah and Zara’s story. Noah wants a sweet and quiet woman to obey him, that is until he meets and is intrigued by Zara. The chemistry between Noah and Zara was palpable. This was an incredible story filled with intrigue, drama, humor, and steamy chemistry. A definite must read and one you don’t want to miss out on.

Given a Firm Hand
They call it Wild Mustang Security Firm. What they don't advertise is that the men have and like to make frequent use of firm hands, especially across the backsides of their female protectees. Hot damn!
Noah Taylor is very, and I do mean VERY, heavy handed and does take some liberties with Zara Hughes. OK, he takes a whole lot of liberties. Despite the non-con and dub-con (don't kid yourself as that's what it is), it is a fast-paced, over-the-top, steamy read. The dub-con and non-con did impact my rating. Had there been more consent, it would've been at least a 4🌟.
I didn't expect it, but this triggered some painful childhood memories that had me uncomfortable. Not enough to stop, but I was unaware of how a belting would be received. Perhaps it's because she begged him to stop to no avail that hit closest to home.
For the most part, I liked the story, but the fact that 'no' had no meaning to Noah was a turnoff. He took being alpha too far for me.
Despite the things I didn't like, I'm drawn into the over arching storyline that seems to carry throughout the series. I started in the middle with enough ease, but I'm curious enough about what came before and comes after, that I'll likely revisit starting at the beginning.
I listened to the audio book. The narrator was JT Farrell. I really liked him. He did great with accents and kept a pace that was appropriate for the scenes, adding urgency when it was called for. I do wish there was a female counterpart, but I always want more. 😉

They call it Wild Mustang Security Firm. What they don't advertise is that the men have and like to make frequent use of firm hands, especially across the backsides of their female protectees. Hot damn!
Noah Taylor is very, and I do mean VERY, heavy handed and does take some liberties with Zara Hughes. OK, he takes a whole lot of liberties. Despite the non-con and dub-con (don't kid yourself as that's what it is), it is a fast-paced, over-the-top, steamy read. The dub-con and non-con did impact my rating. Had there been more consent, it would've been at least a 4🌟.
I didn't expect it, but this triggered some painful childhood memories that had me uncomfortable. Not enough to stop, but I was unaware of how a belting would be received. Perhaps it's because she begged him to stop to no avail that hit closest to home.
For the most part, I liked the story, but the fact that 'no' had no meaning to Noah was a turnoff. He took being alpha too far for me.
Despite the things I didn't like, I'm drawn into the over arching storyline that seems to carry throughout the series. I started in the middle with enough ease, but I'm curious enough about what came before and comes after, that I'll likely revisit starting at the beginning.

Run-on sentences. Literally the 2nd sentence is 58 words long, 4th sentence is 26 letters long and none of it is engaging because they’re so ridiculous. 😴🥱😴🥱😴🥱
Using ‘higher caliber’ vocabulary AKA THESAURUS to replace logical and every day words….example: ostensibly - which means apparently. It’s used in the context as “ostensibly she was worried since she hadn’t heard from him [him being her brother]. 🙄🙄🙄🙄
Why in the world would you use ostensibly in that sentence? You sound like a pompous waffle!😂🤣🤐🤐🤐
If the following quotes are your jam you’ll love this book. I can’t read any further:
1. Referring to a woman as “wild filly” because she ran away to search for her brother
2. “Commando goes commando”
3. “Stroked the floor of her being…” this is in reference to finger f*ing.
4. Referring to anal stimulation as “back channel” or “woman’s bottom hole” emphasis on WOMANS…because of how many times it’s phrased as such….apparently men don’t have @ssholes….who knew🤔🤔🤔😂😂😂😂😂😂
5. “ He grunted and groaned and pummeled her core.”

Zara’s Surrender
She eventually surrenders, but it is definitely a process! Which makes for a great story and romance! This book has a lot of loving, a ton of adventure and danger, and a great HEA!

Very well done. I enjoyed the story line and the fact that a submissive woman was differentiated from a strong woman being with a man that’s WORTHY of submitting to. There is a difference and the book did a great job explaining the difference.

That was crazy!! Who would of thought it would turn out that way? I don't quite understand why they r trying 2 kill her 4 cause she hasn't really gotten into her story yet. But with everything that happened is a surprise. It was pretty good.

Ok book
This book was enjoyable in a sense that it had a decent plot interesting, easy to read with absolutely no angst or drama. I like that it took time to show us how Noah and Zara’s relationship developed and grew. Not real deep character development but enough that I had a good sense of what their core and personalities are like. They definitely have chemistry, albeit a bit of control struggle. Noah is a dominant and although Zara is a submissive in bed, she is feisty and quite the hellion. She does what she wants whenever the opportunity arises, even if it puts her in danger with the bad guy.

Another great read in this exciting series
Just finished this third ride in the Wild Mustang Security series and thoroughly enjoyed it. This is Noah Taylor and Zara Hughes’ story. We met Zara briefly in the previous book (Forever Finn). Zara is a friend and colleague of Finn who is a photo journalist and Zara is an award winning international journalist. Noah is a security specialist in the employ of The Wild Mustang firm. Following on from the previous story Noah has come to London to secure Zara from harm and he manages to rescue her from her home in the nick of time when a kill squad is sent to take her out. Noah has always maintained that he wanted a quiet and easy going submissive girl to settle down with and come home to. Zara is as far from his ideal woman as it is possible to be. Fiercely independent, resourceful and very powerful she has had a domestic discipline based relationship in the past which finished when her partner was killed and is resolved never to become entangled again, particularly with an arrogant dominant man. The chemistry between the two is so full on and compelling that the phrase never say never comes to mind. As always this book can be read as a standalone, but will be enhanced by reading the books in order. This book has all the right ingredients for a Delta treat, action, indoors and out, excitement, good guys, bad guys, and something in between, hot raunchy minutely described scenes and excruciatingly eye watering discipline scenes the only thing missing is the horses but somehow, I didn’t really notice that until now. Excellent entertaining read, looking forward to the next please.

Zara’s Surrender is the third book in the Mustang Security Firm series it is a stand-alone book in its own right and you will be totally blown away by the amazing book. Noah is a very dominant man and he likes to show it however, he is looking for a submissive of his own and this appears easier said than done.
Noah wants a submissive that is happy to serve him, to be happy to wait at home and to service his requirement as and when they arise without complaint, he could never have foreseen that a certain Journalist who covers the most dangerous stories globally is in fact that girl.
Zara is friends with a female that is currently involved with another member of Mustang Security, she knows that the stories she covers are dangerous and puts her life in danger but sees that as no one else’s business.
However, Noah and the firm he is employed with plan on changing her mind so she is taken into custody where the chemistry between Noah and Zara is fiery to say the least and Noah decides that she is a submissive in denial, she is determined to stay strong under his hand.
However, Dom’s can be sneaky and extremely effective at rooting out problems and Noah is determined to make Zara his submissive, she just doesn’t know it yet!
