The pieces of the beginning of the Christian story come together, not from one set of hands, but many. For instance, in the four Gospels, Mark makes no mention of the events leading up to and surrounding the birth of Jesus. John, for the most part, points back to Genesis. As the title suggests, this is a daily devotional for Advent. There are short, easy to read reflections with some suggestions to examine your own life and a prayer.
I read it before I went to sleep each night and it made this season more meaningful for me.
