50 Toughest Questions of Life invites people to have a conversation about themselves with themselves. Deepak Ramola's quest began after he was inspired by the life lesson of a young girl who said, 'Life is not about giving easy answers, but answering tough questions.' Over the years, Ramola has amassed life lessons from inspirational sources across the from the women of the Maasai tribe to young girls in Afghanistan and sex workers in Kamathipura; from the lessons of earthquake survivors in Nepal to Syrian refugees in Europe, among many more. This book is a collection of fifty such questions that made him pause, along with a bouquet of answers, anecdotes, stories and notes from his journey of teaching human wisdom for a decade. Strikingly fresh, tender, yet searing, these questions will make you reflect and inspire you to push beyond your boundaries.
Deepak Ramola is the Founder and Artistic Director of Project FUEL, an organisation that documents and designs human wisdom. He previously served as the Kindness Ambassador for UNESCO MGIEP. Through his methodology, recognised as world's top 100 innovations in education by Finland based organisation HundrED, he has worked with the Maasai tribe to middle school students in Afghanistan to sex workers of Kamathipura, learnings from earthquake survivors in Nepal to Syrian refugees in Europe and migration-affected villages of Uttarakhand, India.
A celebrated lyricist in Hindi Cinema, he is also a published author of an award-winning collection of Hindi poetry.
It's the kind of book that makes you stop, think, remember, and recall from the Pandora box of memories. The questions are sweet, surreal, yet they touch a chord in heart-- I was able to answer some in a flash, almost instinctively. Some took time to understand, but the answers came eventually. There are only a few left that I am yet to answer them for myself. If you're reading this book, don't worry about reading it for a question-answer relationship. Read it to enjoy author's anecdotes, to enjoy his outlook towards life and to gain a new perspective towards things. I enjoyed reading this book a lot. I would definitely recommend it to everyone. I also had the pleasure to interview him where I met the author emerging from the pages of the book. You can watch the interview here- https://www.instagram.com/tv/CJBSbTig...

These questions will make us think, find the answers. I loved how each chapter came as a surprise. How each question will make us find answers, give answers, will teach us what life is. The engaging writing style of the author makes this book more interesting.
It's an inspiring book full of lessons and love, the questions we have to answer at some point, the questions that we often ask ourselves.
Book Review - 50 Toughest Questions Of Life by Deepak Ramola
QUESTIONS - The real beauty of life lies in asking yourself all the right questions and this book can help you just do that. So if you are ready to open that treasure chest of memories, you need to read this book right away.
For me, this book made me remember and recall a lot of things buried deep in my mind. The answers to some questions did enlighten me in ways I could not imagine. Some questions made me happy and content while others made me extremely anxious and sad. There were some questions I just could not answer while there were others I could answer in a beat. This book really gave me the reality check I needed.
But this book is just not about the questions you ask yourself. I really did enjoy the anecdotes shared by the author. His outlook towards life is really refreshing and one can learn a lot of good things from them.
I liked this book a lot. Lately I have been reading a lot of fiction and reading this book was a refreshing change for me. For those who have been in the dark, do give this book a read, you might find the right questions you were looking for.
Beautifully asked '50 Toughest Questions of Life' by @deepakramola
A book that by no means attempts to provide an answer to these 50 toughest questions of life, but instead pushes you onto the journey of deep diving in numerous thoughtful sessions with self to reflect on each of these questions. Author does provide a direction, through anecdotes or life lessons of his own, but then answer could, or rather should be absolutely your own, to let you truly unravel your being.
A must read, as I said, not to find answers, but explore yourself through these directional, humbling questions.
My take, 4.5/5, few more anecdotes would have given a much better direction to folks who may not have yet found such experiences in life. Nonetheless, I also agree, not everyone may have experience life enough as yet, to connect to such questions.

P.S.: New addition to one of my favourite bookmarks!
In simplest words of appreciation I can say that this book journey has left me smiling and feeling joyful because I have learned or at least tried to understand something meaningful throughout. The author has woven his experiences and tales into such beautiful and yet encouraging words that make you pause, think, feel and introspect everything you have been taking forgranted by ignoring the simplest pleasures of life. Every question/chapter provides a different perspective to see the world, life and its meaning or purpose as a whole. You can easily relate with the content and learn/appreciate the efforts of author to teach you various life lessons.
A great compilation of life lessons, stories, experiences and some really important 50 questions. You might just read it all as a story because here those questions are answered. But when you will project them onto yourself, they will help you dissect your own life. However, don't expect a lot of philosophy out of this one. Since it's based on real-life experiences, it has a pragmatic attitude towards the things discussed. Worth a read.
"It was impossible to not make any mistakes. In fact, on the contrary, that would be a far bigger mistake."
I read (listened to) this in audiobook format and am so glad that I did! I saw Deepak Ramola speak at the South Asian Literature and Arts Festival and knew I wanted to read his book. When I saw that it was available in audio format I jumped on it. His narration was very engaging and so was the fact that he was very expressive! I loved this one.
The book summons the reader to travel along with it.
If not all, most of us would certainly ask or have already asked some of the questions to ourselves, for those questions are very much cosmic in essence; I would say.
It's not one of those "philosophical" books. Questions and their answers are presented creatively and beautifully that making you love the vulnerability of your emotions.
Deepak knows how to get into the skin of every emotion and tell it like a story. It's wonderful how someone's journal can become someone else's mirror.
"Adulthood is the interest you pay on the loan of childhood that life lends you."
The book that's not meant for keeping on shelf... the one that you would like to keep close ... a companion, a listener - such a relatable one on experiences and lessons...
the best book I've read so far. The way it breaks down some of the most complex lessons of life in the form of anecdotes and gives you a whole different perspective on a lot of things is what makes it fun and amazing. I urge everyone to get their hands on this book. definitely worth reading!!!!!!
