Lady in the Lake By Lovelyn Bettison I liked the story, the concept, and the characters. It definitely needs editing. The cost of the books are high enough to warrant decent editing.
I really enjoyed this story. The twist about Cheryl’s husband was very interesting and kept me interested. I look forward to the next book in the series to see what new twist s will be revealed.
Compared to the first two books in this series, I felt this one was a bit draggy. There were a lot of superfluous scenes that didn't add much to the plot. I also felt like I had whiplash from how quickly the main character's mood changed throughout. Great concept, but the execution felt kind of flat at times.
This is the third book in the Suncoast Paranormal series that I’ve read, and it is just as good as the first two. Cheryl, the medium whose powers are getting stronger with each book, and her partner Adam Green, whose powers are just developing, find ghosts that need help. Well, actually are found by ghosts that need their help. The stories are creative and fast moving. These are popcorn books - fun, fast, easy to read, and don’t really stay with you for long. But a nice way to pass the time. And Bettison still hasn’t found a good editor. I’m tempted to buy the books, take a red pen to them and send to her.
I really enjoyed this book. It was different than I thought. Ghosts were present , but there was an added presence. There were plenty of twists and turns and you never know how the story will turn out. I am going to recommend this story for any paranormal mystery.
Another awesome book from this author. It's been a while since I read such fun and exciting reads. A definite book for anyone who likes the paranormal, that is believable.
Best book in the series so far story wise. Very unbelievable but contained the most details. However the author should know the difference between parish and perish. Especially in a climactic scene near the end. Broke my focus and made me chuckle.
I really like this series so far but agree with another review about how these books deserve additional editing. Also, I get so annoyed every time Cheryl bites her lip. I can't stand it. Take a shot every time Cheryl thinks about something and bites her lip. You're dead. Alcohol poisoning.
