Also known as 矢吹 健太朗. He is a Japanese manga artist. His mentor was Takeshi Obata, the illustrator of Death Note, Hikaru no Go and Bakuman. Yabuki is best known for his series Black Cat which ran from 2000 to 2004 in Weekly Shōnen Jump and later adapted into an anime. Since 2004, he has only been working as illustrator to works written by other authors. Most notably on the series To Love-Ru alongside his former assistant Saki Hasemi.
I really like this series concept, art style, characters etc. I love the magical ninja, spirit-fantasy, action comedy story and setting. Really plays into the whole boy changed into girl part of the story, we see we get Matsuri’s side effect/ability of sometimes being able to change back into a boy, for a limited time. I personally like the female version more because the design is cool and attractive, even though technically he’s a boy inside the mind. I like it when a series can get me at the fanservice level but also really make me think and almost makes me uncomfortable but in a good way. (Raw Hero by Akira Hiramoto was another that was similar in the boy to girl department but less magical lol in overall I like this one more but that one’s worth checking out only 6 volumes)
I wish there were more female magical ninjas or some more female MCs. This series has an issue with being able to have a set point to look forward to. The arc we are in is murky and not easily definable other than Suzu’s growth/Matsuri’s boy changing/Ninokuru’s sexual identity arc’s? Also if the end goal is to get Matsuri back into a boy and that truly happens I’m not sure I will be happy. I prefer the female Matsuri so that’s another thing that slightly worries me.
Still I am excited for this series to continue and to possibly see an anime adaptation like their other series.

Every week I expect this series to get canceled but it never does. Thus my feeling of "I've already read this far, I might as well keep spending the three or so minutes to read new chapters each week." continues. I'm still not even sure what the point of this series is.
I liked this last book. The monster battle was nice, and I honestly thought it was an ending volume. I like the combo fight move. The series so far has been lots of fan service, with an average plot. But the art is really nice!
