I was so bored with this book. Not even Wesleigh or Sean could save it. I just wasn't a fan of this series and I'm only too happy to see it come to an end. But, I will say, I was very happy Serenity and Carter finally made it to the alter. Given what they went through, they definitely deserved their HEA.
This was a great ending to the series. Carter wanted to make peace with his family before he married Serenity. He wrote beautiful letters to his sister in-laws. The love he has for his brothers and gratitude to the women that made their lives better was unmatched. This was a healing book for the Madden family. And the Crowne brothers made an appearance again.
I have loved every single story about the Madden Family and this one was no different. Carter's growth really stood out to me. In the previous story he seemed so ashamed of who he had become and in this story he truly took steps to let all of that go. His love for his brothers, his family was so profound and his approach in this story was everything. Carter's relationship with Serenity had grown so much, they were in sync and were living in the present. Truth is Serenity was a saint and I'm not sure I would have been as forgiving. Love wins though! Great way to close out the Madden series.
It's review time 🎧 Warning ⚠️: short story, part of a series, standalone but I wouldn't suggest to read it as such.
Narrator score🎧 ; Sean is one of my favorite narrators from all time I didn't know the female narrator beforehand but she was very very very good she did a remarkable job with the book
Level of anxiety and sadness0😱😢: it is a part of a series I don't know what really to say because I can't see the melancholy of this book the main character had a lot on his heart and mind. And I think that this what made the book so emotional.... sad it wasn't... but yeah really emotional.
The book itself📖: it was a great short story is that I enjoyed very much it was very very good and it had character which I loved very much. I can't really say a lot about the book without spoiling it.
I loved this story. Obviously I need to start from the beginning of the series because I haven't read all the brother's stories and they tickled me in this book. I listened to the audiobook and Wesleigh Siobhan and Sean Crisden did an amazing job.
For some reason even though it was a short read with Carter giving each of the Madden women a letter and catching up with the family it was so satisfying that I loved it so much. I definitely loved this series and to end it like this 🥰.
Loved listening to this book; however, I listened out of order. Included in my membership until 11/4. So now off to listen from the beginning, because the ending was beautiful!
Now, to listen after listening to the other book in the series was beautiful! A perfect completion! Love the Madden family.
I liked this installment "To Marry A Madden because readers got to find out more about the other brother MALIK & Michael Madden & their wives who are mentioned but don't have a book of their own in the TO MARRY A MADDEN series. Even though this book was about the MADDEN FAMILY coming together (& ONE VERY SPECIAL GUEST SAINT SCOTCH CROWNE & WIFE TARAJ CROWNE COMING TO ATTEND THE SPECIAL EVENT OF FRIEND CARTER MADDEN & SERENITY) to witness their brother Carter Madden making his longtime lady love Serenity officially a MADDEN woman, readers got a chance to also peek into the marital lives of Crayson & Jordan; Malakai & Avery; Caden & Cordelia; & even that of their parents lives while they were at the top-secret venue where the wedding would occur {BTW, Shout Out to Jacky D/JEDIDIAH CROWNE for getting the family there in the manner as only he could! CRAYSON's Verbal obscenity-filled Objections to how they were treated by JACKY-D in order to get to their secret destination WAS HILARIOUS}. I loved that Carter took the time out of planning the wedding & his unorthodox way of getting his family to the event, & wrote individual letters to all of his sisters-in-law telling them how special they were to him because of how special they are to his brothers was a nice touch to the completion of the series. It was GREAT to see SAINT/SCOTCH & TARAJ/TEQUILA make an appearance for Carter & Serenity! The wedding itself was not only long-awaited but it was well-worth reading/listening to {via audible}! I was so happy for both Carter & Serenity who officially became husband & wife in this book! That WEDDING RECEPTION PLAYLIST WAS ONE OF THE BEST I'D EVER READ; IT CAME TOGETHER VERY NICELY FOR THE COUPLE & THOSE WHO MAY HAVE ACTUALLY PLAYED THE SONGS LISTED AS THEY READ ALONG! I LOVE THAT CRAZY A** CRAYSON ADDED BONE THUGS' 'WEED SONG' TO THE PLAY LIST! Though I loved that Carter & Serenity Madden are settling into married life more comfortably, I'm not sure that they should have been written to be starting a family, given what Carter does for a living from time to time. But, I'm happy for them, their new baby girl, & their beloved pet part-wolf/part-dog!
wow, what an ending to such an incredible series! i loved how we got to see all of the couples come together to celebrate carter & serenity's wedding and see carter's letters to all of his sisters-in-law. i love the madden family dynamic, even with carter being the distant son/brother that he is.
i can't believe it's over, but i am so glad i picked these books up. if i'm being super honest right now, the main reason that i came across these books was because i was looking for audiobooks narrated by jakobi diem... the way i instantly fall in love with any book this man narrates is INSANE, 1000% recommend these audiobooks!

Emotional Rollercoaster 🎢- Vivian Greene gives you the backdrop
Pace yourself when reading this epic conclusion to the Madden Family. Sherelle Green really took us on a journey of redemption and exploration. For those of us who love the written word especially a hand written note 📝, we are in for the most. Carter was more than any of us could have bargain for. You want layers and depth that go on this journey. Serenity deserved 😌 all what she put out and more. I will say the two scenes that I loved the most where the talk between Carter and his father, and the exchanging of vows. Can I say that was the most heartfelt exchange I had the pleasure of reading.
Bravo 👏 for allowing for a closure that no one could have sealed any better.
To Marry a Madden was such a touching story. I’m glad that I caught up on all the Madden books before reading this one. There was a little bit of conflict with one of the couples that added a twist. I like the way Sherelle wrote the story, with an update on each couple, with the letters incorporated in. I didn’t expect to see an update about the parents, so that was a nice touch. Even though Carter spent years away, he was able to stay updated in his own way. Family is truly everything for Carter and all of the Maddens. There were also appearances from some of the Crowne family. The playlist was icing on the cake. I learned a couple of songs I didn’t know. To Marry a Madden is a wonderful end to the series, and I highly recommend it.
This was a great way to finalize this series. The way Carter put his thoughts on paper for all of his sister-in-laws was genius. His penmanship was exemplary, especially how he knew exactly what to say to each woman. He also made sure to give them each a bracelet with the word that was matched each personality. I loved the letters, bracelets, and the men's gift. The description of the decorations in the lodge, the playlist, and those vows were a tearjerker for me. It was point blank, simply beautiful. This is the first book or wedding I ever heard two people do vows like that.
This was another great series to add to your literary portfolio. I recommend this whole series, you will enjoy getting to know the Maddens.
Omg were to I even started this story was simply amazing ♥️♥️ I stayed up all night to finish reading I couldn't put it down . I listened to the playlist as I was wrapping gifts yessss💞I reread the previous madden books these men are sexy funny and that Caden omg is hilarious.and let's not talk about those letters to his sisters in-laws 😭😭😭 I loved the follow up how the couples were doing 🙂. One of my favorite series 💓 madden men💕💕🙌🏾 Carter is my favorite 💓 but then again love them😉 all (Carter my favorite brother wink 😘😃) Sherelle Green 💚 did her thang yesss she's the best.
I was initially on the fence about reading this book But I'm so glad I read it . Book 5 is now my absolute favorite. I was in love with book 3 but, now it's all about book 5. It was so many aspects of this book that made me fall deeper in love with it. Starting with the personal letters to the sisters .The music Playlist and also the humor of the book was the best. I could not wait to give there review but I definitely do not want to say too much so that I Won't give anything away. The only thing I can say was not my favorite was the Cursing . Just a little bit too much for my Style. Never the less this was an excellent book.
4.5 I didn't know I needed this. In fact I thought Carters Undoing was the end. I started off with the audio book. I usualy enjoy Sean Crisden narration but I thought his voice was a bit more mature then what I've been reading and listening previously in the series. I think he was perfect for the Crowne's, Mason, and the older M brothers. Since these were love letters to the women of the family I wanted to read this one as well. It was so touching to read how Carter isn't the screw up that he always thought he was, and he is deserving of the love he always worthy of from his family and the love of his life. I'm happy Carter found his peace & Serenity!
To Marry a Madden was an emotional and deeply satisfying end to the series. I found myself listening all the way through with that familiar tension—waiting for something to go wrong, because Sherelle Green always keeps us on our toes. But instead, we were given a beautifully heartfelt conclusion that honoured every moment of the journey.
And the ending with Serenity and Carter’s wedding was the perfect final touch. After everything they’d been through, seeing their love come full circle was emotional, uplifting, and exactly the kind of closure fans of the series needed. It tied the entire family’s story together in the sweetest, most memorable way.
Green has done a great closing out the Madden series. It was great catching up with the Madden family and seeing #Carenity reached the finishline they were heading towards since adolescence. I truly can say this story was one that makes ever woman believe in everlasting love with no chance of giving up on her own chance at a HEA kind of love. Green also got me chewing at the bit with that garter toss scene. So Sherelle does that means Jackie D is up next in the Crowne Legacy series?
Wow! Carter has so much depth. His loyalty, care and protection of his family was top priority. The letters he wrote for his sisters-in-laws before his big day, were absolutely beautiful. It showed each of them just how much he appreciated their roles in his life, and the lives of his brothers. His love for Serenity was all encompassing! Carter, her Golden Boy, would always be her king. Really enjoyed catching up with the rest of the family, and learning a bit more about them. Crayson is still crazy as hell! 😀 Great read! 👍👍👍
This was the perfect way to wrap up this series. Everyone could use a bit of Serenity and Carters heart and determination. That Crayson is a darn fool and I love his antics. I'll have to read about Malik and Micah to see how they're love stories took place, yet it was nice to get a bit of their stories in this book. I'm adding the Crowne men in my line up as well bc I'm sure those stories are very interesting.
I was not disappointed. I felt like I was on an emotional ride with my Madden family. I was so happy for Carter and Serenity that they got their happily ever after. I might have been to much...but I listen to a little of each song before or during that part😁 I actually took a dance break on Biker Shuffle...had to jam with my family a bit. 😂 I sure did enjoy the ride family see ya soon. 😘😘😘
This book is the epilogue I didn't know I needed for this series. The letters Carter gave to each of the Madden wives are beautiful, soul stirring and full of nuggets of information that we didn't know we were missing. Sherelle Green wove history into those letters so brilliantly. I cried with each of the women. I am not a re-reader but this book made me want to go back to the beginning and revisit the Madden family.
Sweet ending to The Madden brothers series To Love a Madden. Cater and Serenity finally conquered all of the adversity in their lives. Because they had a love so powerful they couldn't fail. Even though the family thought Cater was out of their lives he was always there on the edge watching over them. This is a beautiful love story not just between a man and woman but family and friends as well
To me, this book is the epilogue for the entire series.
It’s Carter and Serenity’s wedding and Carter is taking care of business with his family. Sort of like a fresh start before he starts the next chapter of his life. The letters to the sisters were poignant and the intimate time between the couples were super sexy. I also liked the little peek into Mr. and Mrs. Madden’s life and some of their struggles.
This was short and sweet but it was my favourite of the series because of those damn letters!! Ms Sherelle I'm now going to read your full back catalogue because never before has a author made me laugh out loud as much as you have other than Alexandria House. I love when I discover a black author and they're able to write us so close to reality in being that we are multidimensional as a people. Loved it! Can't wait to read the about the Crowne boys
I loved this story! Carter’s heartfelt letters to each sister-in-law were so thoughtful and sweet. Although he had become hardened due to life’s circumstances, he was a sweetheart. He and Serenity were destined to be together, and this was the perfect ending to their amazing love story!
Mrs Sherelle Green didn't disappoint with this one! Not that she ever does .The wedding of Carter and Serenity was spectacular, and the letters to all his sister in laws made me tear up , I truly enjoyed this story . well written story on true family love and that unbreakable bond of friendship.
What a perfect way to end the series!!! I loved it! Carter and Serenity are perfect together. I loved getting caught up with all the brothers and their wives. To see mama and daddy Madden still blissfully in love after 40+ years was beautiful...now I'm looking for ward to starting The Crowne Legacy. I wanna see what's up with Jackie D!
I love the Madden Family these men are sexy as sin. This was a beautifully written book. I would highly suggest that you read this book. Carter poured his heart out to his family. It made me fall more in love with Serenity and Carter's love. It was my absolute pleasure and joy reading this book.
