Damn, I needed more than just a shot after I finished this sinful, delicious, delectable, scrumptious book.
The entire book was perfect beginning to end, but I did have favourite's out of all of them and it'll be no shocker when I say that all of my faves featured the butch stars of the Pride stories, including newbie character, soldier Ramsay.
Wrath's Fantasy
Oh-my-yum! To see Emilia submit to another butch was to die! Emilia is a natural dominant, an Alpha, and a butch through and through, but something about another Alpha butch take control of her was incredibly arousing. I'm confident in saying that that is the only time I enjoy seeing a dominant butch submit is with another butch. Harry was the perfect specimen to dominate Emilia. Such imagery that flashed in my mind as I read this mouth watering story.
A Gift From Wrath
*excuse me while I mop up my mess after reading this*
Another dominant moment, but this time we see Emilia exert her natural dominance in the most dapper of ways. To have a butch dressed in a suit, strapped, taking control of the reins over a femme is intoxicating to someone like me. I love a suited and booted butch who uses her/their strength in all aspects to the best of her/their ability.
Pride's Lap Dance
Harry... that's all. Okay, I have more to say, but to anyone who's familiar with Harry, not much needs to be said because she's so delicious in every way possible. I would pay good money (if I had it) to get a lap dance from her. I found my own palms itching and fingers twitching to want to touch Harry just how Lara suffered to hold herself back. Dallas has a great imagination and she let her mind run wild with this one.
Imagine Me and You
This was written in a different type of perspective. It was told through Harry's POV, but directly to the reader as if the reader was Harry's next conquest. I felt like I was the one capturing Harry's eye and making her yearn for my body. I like that Dallas made the reader a switch-hitter, if you will. The reader started as submissive and compliant, but switched it, and finished as the one in control. I really enjoyed the way this was written.
A Soldier's Greed
This one was my ultimate favourite. A new character who happened to be butch, stacked, sexy, and horny joined the crew at The Cardinal. Just how I like 'em ;) But the best was the tete-a-tete between Harry and the soldier. Two alpha butches squaring each other up was probably the most exciting and arousing thing I've read. The struggle for power was palpable and if both butches' c*cks were connected to their anatomy I'm sure they'd have been throbbing and standing at attention. Yummy.
Dallas writes descriptive prose that short circuits the wires in my head and I plan on continuing reading anything she produces. If you want more than just raw, carnal, passionate, playful sex, then I highly recommend you check out the entire Pride series. She has tastes for different palettes, not just butch/butch or even butch/femme, but she has beautiful, alluring femme/femme scenes too.

This was fucking fantastic (what else would we expect when we know the lovely characters already). The stories were hot and just right and if you didn’t love the sins before, you do now. The writing? Yes please, awesome. I loved the addition of illustrations in the book… ugh, so good.

Loved the short stories and extra stories. The pictures where awesome it help to get a nice view of what was happening. Plus you get a picture of what all the lovely ladies look like.

Now I know this was meant to be read as an addition to the all of the others but I had read Welcome to the Cardinal. The short story format worked for me as I read this while travelling on the train.
It was busy and crowded and I was sat there looking as though butter wouldn't melt in my mouth reading erotica.
I enjoyed not only the format but the book came with pictures! This was perfect for me as there was one story that I couldn't quite figure out from the description so the illustration came in handy.
Anyway. Short stories of a good length, definitely interesting content, and the use of the regular characters means you have some familiarity and also an inkling as to their character, preferences etc.
You should all check this book out - it's illustrated. I should perhaps point out these are not photographs - but drawings.

If I have to use one word for TJ's book 'A shot of Absinthe', it would be fantabulous!
It's just wow! Trust me, if you enjoy lesbian erotica and haven't read this book so far, then you are missing out on a lot! This book has multiple hot and steamy short stories and just when you decide that current story is the best, you will find that the next one supersedes all your expectations!! The artwork is also great!

This stays true to exactly what the author states in the blurb. Extremely hot wlw vignettes. Cold showers are definitely on the horizon during and after reading. The author does not shy away from depicting the deliciously sensual nature of women.

I was fortunate to be included in the ARC of 2 Shots of Absinth and I just had to read the first one. Since I am familiar with the characters of The Cardinal Series, I enjoy reading what they are up to in these short anthologies.
T.J. Dallas has a delicious imagination and a talent for writing spice that has a heat level above a million on the Scoville Scale. This one and 2 Shots are quicky spice with friends from The Cardinal that raise the heat level to Carolina Reaper hot.
The stories themselves are entertaining and as usual, this author blends sex into her stories like a nice cocktail. It's so smooth, it's easy to drink it, but you know there will soon be shenanigans.
