AMARA

To the rest of the world, I'm broken.
Unfixable.
But when he looks at me, I know what he sees.
A woman, not a doll.
A fighter, not a victim.
A Survivor.
Maybe, he sees underneath that.
Maybe, just maybe, he sees what I was always born to be—a predator.
They took my innocence from me. They stole my adolescence.
Now I'm going to reap upon them what they sowed in me.
Vengeance.
This woman hasn't just been scorned... but the hell I'll rain down
upon them will look like child's play.
He's a Sinner, by nature and by vow, but will he take this journey
into the depths of depravity with me?
Will his brothers?
Stick around for the ride—we'll find out if he's man enough for the job.

REVIEW UPDATE: I had 2 members of this authors ARC team contact me on here and leave nasty comments regarding my opinion. I’ve had to block them, comments and delete their previous ones. The excuses that are made for a man cheating on a pregnant wife and continuing to do so and trying to say it’s okay bc now he’s a “sex addict” is not okay. And my opinion is valid as is their opinion to have bad taste. The next book is going to be absolute rubbish with that poor heroine Kiera suffering. Way to give cheaters all the power.
Another attempt at dealing with trauma that is a shoot and a miss at the basket for this installment. MÉNAGE! It's obvious there's no true understanding of psychology. There's an attempt, but it misses the mark. Honestly, there's no respect for real people that are dealing with these real issues in real life either. If so, it wouldn't be brushed over or created in an unrealistic coping way. Fiction story or not.
Storm for example. Kiera would NOT be able to function normally after the cheating he's pulled on her. There's not HEA to be had there. But that story is apparently getting wrote and will shove cheating in your face and tell you if he says sorry and does some crap excuse of "learning" that you can get a happily ever after too.
Another release that throws in events for a thrill factor. Amara is another one of the rescued girls, so no new main characters again. I can't support Storm and the load of garbage excuses being made for him. You can't get a HEA for a situation like that.
Of course, the A behavior on social will be over looked and some readers who adore cheating will continue to rally behind this series.

Where, oh where do I start with this book? For those looking for a quick reaction, this is definitely a 5-star read! Serena Akeroyd continues to expand the Sinner and Five Points universes she has created, moving forward the overarching storylines that crossover, all while introducing us to new lovers in each book! And boy, do we get a love story in Hawk!!!

Hawk, one of Giulia’s older, twin brothers, is front and center. Considered grumpy and serious by most people, we get to peel back the layers of a man who's dealing with his own tortured past, the recent losses of his parents, abandonment issues from his brother, and all the devastation the MC has faced over the recent weeks. He’s feeling a little lost in the dark, lacking in purpose. Until her.

Enter Amara. She survived horrific circumstances at the hands of a trafficking ring. She was saved by the MC, was working to deal with her grief, and suffered along with the Sinners after the bombing. She’s alone in a country not her own and unable to return to where she’s from. But then there’s Hawk and the way he looks at her. He seems to see her, not who she was or what she went through, but her. And that is a powerful feeling! He grounds her and she gives him wings.

Serena Akeroyd is masterful at developing these characters that become so real. It’s like being there with them, feeling their fear and rage, unease and nervousness, attraction and lust...and love. There were so many themes interwoven in this story (because, of course Serena will give so many points of view you feel like you’re getting a very robust look into all your favorite characters’ lives) and they are treated so well.

Seriously, this book touched on so many emotions for me. There were moments to swoon, moments to laugh out loud, and moments to cry or be angry or be excited! I could continue talking about this gem of a book but I’ll stop here and let you go get it. (I mean, run, don’t walk to add this to your library.) If I keep talking here, I might just give away one of the many surprises in store for you. And they are oh so good!!!

The darkness in this book would make the devil squirm.

The emotions from these strong characters will gut you and leave you wide open. I was not prepared for this book, the secrets alone will leave your head spinning in one of the best books I've read in 2021.
If you want to get lost in the world of Dark and Dirty, be prepared to sin.

I don’t know how Serena Akeroyd manages to do it every time but she never disappoints with her stories or her characters! In Hawk we get to learn more about Amara, who everyone thinks is a quiet little mouse, and Hawk the resident Mr. Grumpy Gills of the Satan’s Sinners. We quickly learn that there is WAY more to these two than meets the eye, they just needed the right person to actually take the time to look. Amara is trying to figure out her place in the world after being rescued from the sex-trafficking ring she was sold into. While Hawk is trying to find his way without North, his twin who abandoned him. However, like with all the stories in this universe there is so much going on here than our main characters journey. Serena Akeroyd flawlessly brings answers to some of the biggest questions that have been brewing for a while now. All while also blowing her readers minds and adding new twists and turns for our favorite MC brothers and their Old Ladies, as well as their friends over in NYC.

While I love Maverick and he has been my favorite since day 1 of reading this series, Hawk may have just worked his way to the top. I am so excited to see how these characters continue to grow as this series progresses, bring on Storm!

I don't know how Serena manages to make each book so amazing, but she's definitely done it again with Hawk. This romance is foremost about healing and taking revenge in the form of living and finding happiness. There's just too much I can spoil here, so I'm going to be as vague as I can because the surprises are mind blowing. The characters are well written, fully developed, and a pleasure to follow on their journey. The plot is amazingly complicated as ends are tied up, and new clues come forward. The Posse are my absolute favorite female relationships ever, and the ending had me gasping in shock. This series is, simply, a masterpiece of MC romance and it will always be a favorite for me. 5 stars easily given!

This book was superb, hands down my fave of the series.

Based on Hawk, Amara and Quin.
Amara featuring heavily in previous books, one of the main characters of one of the series main stories it was lovely to read her story and see the ending she deserved i loved her.

So much emotions going through me while reading about what the characters past and seeing them coming out of it to find a better life.

More unexpected secrets are found out.

This was a dark book in the series which Selena does tell you at the ending, now going to patiently wait for the next one as the cliffhanger made me throw my kindle across my couch 😂😂😂

'Dark & Dirty Sinners' MC and its cross-over,'The Five Pointers', is just too good to only be a book series. For me, these stories so easily could be made into a TV mini series. Hawk, Amara, and Quin's story is Serena Akeroyd at her best, we are given front row seats to a dark, slightly twisted but unique romance all courtesy of Ms. Akeroyods exceptionally writing skill. The 'Dark & Dirty Sinners' Mc have become my book family!

In 'Hawks' story, we once again get to catch up with the rest of the MC, and the mystery of the elusive 'Sparrows' is still building nicely.

Amara came to the MC when she was rescued after being part of a human trafficking ring, and she has gone through a horrific ordeal, Hawk seems to be the only one that she feels comfortable around - his 'little sparrow'. But when Quin, Nyx's brother is injured just before his release from prison and meets Amara he is instantly drawn to her it as if the voice from his dreams has brought his 'sky girl' to him.

This trio journey is not an easy one and it should be complicated but with Ms. Akeroyd's writing skill the relationship unfolded brilliantly.

Love

I love this series and is one of my all-time fav MC series. Hawk is another fabulous one in this series. What was interesting is this was not just from Hawk's POV but you get a bit of several characters to further the ongoing storyline across the series.

Amara was so much more then I expected and she just might be my fav female character in this series. She has gone through hell and isn't going to sit back anymore. I loved to get to know Hawk more and I loved him. We have only seen bits of Quin but I seem to have a major soft spot for him and I just adore him after this book.

This series is just so excellent and I am so eager for the books coming up! Serena Akeroyd just keeps knocking them out of the park!

There aren’t words for how much I loved this book. I just want to gush like crazy but spoilers suck & I refuse to ruin this insanely amazing book for you! Just know that I think it’ll be your favourite of the series since it sure is mine!

So much happens in this book. Questions you’ve waited for are answered. I fell in love with characters I wasn’t even sure I liked in past books. I do really wish there was more to the ending of this book, but I feel like Serena won’t leave us hanging & we’ll learn more in the next book. I love this MC & I can’t wait to find out what happens next.

OMG, this book was out of this world amazing. From the moment that I started reading it, there was no stopping. It grabbed me and would not let me go until the last word was read. It moves along at an amazing pace making for a very comfortable read. You will love these characters and they are so real that you feel as though you know them personally, you want o be there for them no matter what happens. The story will keep you reading till the end and then you are needing more. This book is a must read, no doubt about it.

As I read a book, I constantly thinking of things that I find in the book to help write the review of the book; the topics of the occurrences the characters go though, the characters in general, etc. As I read Hawk, all I could think of was weaving. I am not a weaver. I have never weaved before. Weaving is the process of crossing one group of threads with a second group of threads to make decorative artwork. This is exactly what happened in Hawk. The author has taken threads from around ten books and weaved them together to make this stunning tapestry of love, strength, dedication and honor. I have no idea how many voices speak though the author at one time, but even the thought gives me a migraine.

Amara is this amazing woman who is that first spark of a match and has the ability through the pain and suffering she’s been though to either start a controlled burn or absolutely and unequivocally light the sky on fire. I know Hawk calls her Little Bird, but she’s nothing if not a Phoenix. With the help of her new “family,” she beautifully rises from the ashes to own the rest of her life.

So many things happened in Hawk, I won’t for a minute give anything away because I don’t want to spoil this journey you get to take with the Satan’s Sinners and Guilia’s Posse, but I will say this. Make sure you’re wearing your seatbelt. (or if you’re riding on a hog, hold on tight) It’s going to be a bumpy ride.

Five Stars.

Oh god i dont know where to begin with this book? It certainly takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions. Amara (FMC) is trying to rebuild her life after everything that shes had to endured in it. All of which to this moment has been pretty brutal. Even with all her struggles and anxieties she still manages to find love and a home with two bikers that adore her. Hawk - Guilia's brother and twin brother to North Ex MC member. I loved him from the very beginning of this book. He was so patient showing Amara how different pleasure & sex could be with someone who respected her. As well as the other biker which im keeping quiet about (not letting that secret out) They brought Amara out of herself and made her confront her demons. Even if they were difficult to remember for her. What that did was make her more confident as well as bloodthirsty. Which i kinda liked that she got some revenge on those that hurt her. I loved Amara's three way relationship. It really worked for her and i loved reading it so much

Serena Akeroyd has not let me down! Just when I think I have my favorite in her universe (looking at you Nyx, Cruz, and Brennan), she presents another one that gets to me.

I don’t want to give too much away in terms of the plot, but I absolutely love how the love story in this one works.

Amara is a fascinating character. Her experiences have scarred her physically and emotionally. Her journey, and her finding her power, are amazing to read. There are scenes in her that completely tore at my soul, and honestly my own memories.

Reading these books has become a type of catharsis for me. Can’t wait to read the next four in the series, not to mention the cross over series of the Filthy Feckers…. I cannot recommend this series enough! I am curious how Serena is going to get me to like North (Hawk’s twin) . . .

Hawk is the 7th book in the Satan Sinner's MC universe, and focuses on recently initiated Hawk and Amara. It's best to read the books in order, and Serena Akeroyd's vivid writing and exciting plot keeps you connected and invested throughout each book. I love this one because though it focuses on our romantic leads, it also builds and expands so many plot lines that run through this MC series and the author's Irish Mob series, the Five Points. Highly suggest reading this book for:

-a kind, patient, and understanding male character. Hawk is a brother in the MC, but he feels off balanced after his twin left. While he has the reputation of being grumpy, the glimpses we see of his inner thoughts about his family and how it affected his own views about life and love, his perceptive thoughts about his love interest Amara, and his desire to create a family of his own shows his hunger and determination to grab love when he sees it
-a resilient, possessive, blood thirsty female character whose transformation was as empowering as it was inevitable. While Amara's experience being trafficked was a horrendous ordeal, there's so much vulnerability and growth in her thinking and transformation from victim to survivor. I honestly fall for every new heroine we're introduced to, and Amara is no exception. We're here for a POWERFUL KWEEN.
-an unconventional love story that's full of mystery, heat, and a healthy dash of fate. The animal imagery of the majestic hawk, the timid little bird, and the lost buzzard are pretty prominent throughout this book, and it speaks to what love should be and do for you: surround you, lift you up, and help you fly. There's freedom in their love because they're not afraid or ashamed to show all the rough and damaged parts of their characters, which only makes them and their love more powerful.

"Let's bring the thunder, sky girl."

This is a hard review to write as I just can't see how I can do this without spoilers. LOL We catch up with Hawk, his heroine, and the rest of the Sinners family in such a fashion that it tidies up loose ends from previous books. Hawk is set up to be the perfect dark knight, his leading lady is a super recognizer who is fighting to reach the sky, and a third who's had me on pins & needles for. As always, we are caught up on the happenings between the prior brothers' books. My heart is breaking for Rex, Storm, and Keira as their paths have thrown them for a wild ride. I must say that this book is somewhat of a sweet romance, which is weird when talking about an MC book in Serena's world. Love seeing how the ties to the Five Pointers are made, which shows how intertwined they are. This is a must-read & has a deserving place in the series.

I absolutely LOVE this MC! Oh it is just remarkable! Serena has us by the throat on our knees! She is slowly gripping tighter and the fist she has coming towards our face is unavoidable. After she is done pummeling us she is going to sit us down and start flaying our skin one layer at a time! Oh you think she is brutal doing this but the feelings she invokes has us coming back to this sweet torture, begging her to continue for more, will only make her smile! This MC is going to thrash us to the point of heart stopping thrills, with a slaughter of our common sense and warning that it will only bring you to your knees. You will crawl to her, you will beg her, you will endure the pain and you will beg for more! This series is simply outstanding! Just WOW!

I was so looking forward to this but sadly, it wasn't a favorite. I'm not sure what happened-- it wasn't the relationship--but I found myself struggling to get through the middle portion. Overall, just okay for me but I'm very much looking forward to more of this series.

Can we please fast-forward to March already?? 😭

Wow! What an awesome story! This story tugs on ones heartstrings. This story was full of tons of emotion so much so that it was hard for the reader to not be effected. We loved the characters what an eclectic bunch they are all so different from all the characters we have ever read. Most of these characters all seems to possess some kind of darkness and pain within, and you feel what they feel, and it is intense but, in the same breath the men and women are good people just doing what they need to survive and protect the ones they love. These characters have been to hell a back and others survived unthinkable situations, and they may be a bit broken but, they are survivors and fighters who have come out stronger on the other end who fight for family and for justice.

Amara and Hawks story at times was heart-wrenching but, it was also about healing and revenge and choosing to overcome those demons and live and love this new life to the fullest.

I always try to pick a favorite character to rave about but, this story had t0 many to just choose one. Amara's pain and tragic past goes straight to the heart of the reader you feel her pain and her loneliness but, we always felt that she was strong and resilient and a warrior at heart, and she proved that she was exactly that. We loved how she was with Hawk and how he was with her, it was this slow burn kind of relationship full of friendship and trust and love. We loved Hawks patience and kindness when it came to Amara and how his grouchy and quietness in this case was an actual turn on.

Overall this plot was complicated and intense and loose ends are starting to get shored up the pieces are starting to fall into place. The girl posse aka old ladies in this story are awesome and lend a hand to make this series amazing. The minute you start turning the pages you are hooked the story was messy and emotional and has you on a high the entire time. We loved how the story became more twisty as time progresses that we did not see coming, and we loved that. But, overall we just loved this story from beginning to end, and it just has that wow factor we love. This story had a cast of amazing characters, and you could not help but fall in love and love them all.

On a Personal note- In my book Serena is one heck of a master storyteller and although this book is fiction she brings to the for front issues that are real problem in the world well live today that need to be eradicated. The New World Sparrows? Loved that!

One of the best things (and there are many) about this amazing author is the length of her books so nothing is ever rushed, and I can't state how much I LOVE this about her. Of course this series is totally one of my very favorite MC series of all time which isn't too shabby either LOL! And Lawd only knows that I can't get enough of her talent at weaving together a suspenseful undertone that rolls on through each book despite them being about different couples with a side of more than two POVs. My poor Amara, she went through hell because of human trafficking ring which is a very big issue in the real world, and I just wanted to hug her while I cried for her. Then, when she started coming into her own ready to get vengeance, I was her biggest cheerleader. Hawk is a tortured soul since his past is very mean, so he comes off very serious, and lately it's been even more pronounced until Amara throws his world into chaos. Hawk brings a very emotional story filled with action, twists, danger, heat, and humor to the table so you don't want to miss out! However, you need to read all the books in order because you'll miss out on so much if you don't. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

“A little wrecked, a lot broken, but somehow all the more beautiful for it”. Nothing sums up Amara better. Amara was a young, Ukranian ballerina when she was sold into the sex slave trade. She’s survived against all odds. Slavery. Starvation. Beatings. Left to die in a cage. Until the Sinners found her. Trust comes slow with survival the driving factor and no pleasure in anything. Until she gets a chance. A chance at retribution. A chance at vengeance. A chance at reconnecting with her humanity and possibly even love and affection. It took a threat to a young girl to wake her up, but Hawk is who support her while she learns how to fly again.

Hawk is a man adrift. Looking for a lifeline. His parents are dead. His twin abandoned him and his little sister, Giulia, well their relationship is strained at best. Hawk sees Amara as his chance for reconnecting. To bask in the sun while he can show her the pleasure she’s never had. To be her support in quest to take down those that have hurt her. Just as Hawk is starting to accept his feelings for her run deep, deeper than he expected, another MC brother enters the picture. He wants Amara, too. And he’s sweet, supportive, and deeply in touch with his feelings. Hawk is going to have to decide if he’s going to step up, step aside, or make room.

Just wow! Serena has really outdone herself with her heroine! Amara rises up like a phoenix to become the avenging angel who singlehandedly makes the the takedown of the club’s enemies possible. She’s a survivor. She’s brave. She’s taking control of her sexuality. All the characters are just so beautifully written and have so much depth to them; you can’t help but fall in love with them and truly care about their happiness. You’d think after 7 books in the series, the overall plot line would dull out or become predictable, but this is certainly not the case. The story deep and wonderfully complex, while still an absolute page turner with all the twists and turns. Little breadcrumbs dropped throughout the book will make you yearn for the next books to be released. I know I can’t wait!!

Hawk is the 7th book in the Sinner’s MC series. It could be read as a standalone, but is better read in order to understand overarching story arcs. For the best experience, it should be read in conjunction with Serena’s Filthy Feckers series as well.

Amara is a character we have met previously and has been a constant throughout the series. She is one of the former trafficked victims rescued from an underground prison and now here she finally finds her voice as she takes centre stage and takes back control of her own destiny.

This was a really good addition to the series and it went places I wasn’t expecting I was also really surprised how much I actually liked Amara, in the past, I’ve been a bit meh regarding her but this girl is unintentionally hilarious in the way she expresses herself as well as also being totally kick-ass and especially bloodthirsty for vengeance which she so deserved.

So this is Hawk and Amara’s story and this was also enhanced by the inclusion of Quinn who is Nyx and Indys little brother he brought so much added nuance and fun to this story and he definitely deserved some happiness as well after his spell in prison.

This was really enjoyable and I especially appreciated the closing chapter that really made me feel that Amara was finally getting some much due payback. This was Another fabulous instalment and this series is just so good and every book delivers the goods.

Hawk is another emotional, suspenseful and just amazing read from Serena Akeroyd. As always, there is so much going on in this book. There is multiple points of view again that I love. We get so many answers to previous questions and of course we are left with new ones after that wild ending. I love this MC so much. They may dabble in crime as needed for the club but they are loyal to a fault to the MC, their family. Amara has been through hell in her short life but she is determined to take charge of her circumstances and make a place for herself in the MC. Hawk has been floundering with no purpose but he finds himself with the help of Amara. This story is dark, emotional, action-packed and just a fantastic read. I loved it and can’t wait to see where she takes us next!

Wow, this had so much in the story that I couldn't put book down. We got to see our favourite characters but also a new couple.

We finally see Amara come out of her shell. With the help of her abilities she finds some closure with the help of her man. They balance each other out, and help make her realise she is stronger than she thinks.

I can't wait for more.

HOOK, LINE, SINKER!
I will be honest I wasn’t sure what was going to come of Hawk as he was always in the background and grouchy but man did Serena make me fall in love with him from the very beginning. He was such a sweetheart to Amara with everything she went through and he never turned an eye.
I literally got sucked in. I love the multiple POVs, the insight to all the different characters and the cross-over to the Filthy Feckers series. It’s my own little soap opera in a book and I never want the series to end. Serena does an amazing job of showing the family dynamics of the MC world, all the different Nationalities and research she brought into this series is just incredible.
I knew I was going to struggle with this review because there are so many spoilers and thoughts running through my mind that I want to share but I refuse.
This is definitely worth a ONE CLICK and then you need to clear your schedule and hold on as you are about to be BLOWN AWAY!

wow! Serena has done it again with another great book. This book has become one of my favourites in the sinner series. We get to find out more about one of the main characters; Hawk, who is a grumpy guy but will do anything for the ones he loves. As the story goes on, we find out more about him and it makes you love him even more. Then we have Amara who has been through hell, has finally had enough and is willing to fight back. We also get POV from other characters though out this book. This book has a bit of everything from friendship, love and lust, to heart breaking moments. I could not put down this book and I cannot wait to read more about the characters in the next books in the series.

Goosebumps. This book literally gave me goosebumps.

I loved the turn this book took! I loved getting to know Amara better than I thought I would, she is so fierce and refuses to be just another victim. I found Hawk to be immediately charming and it never did wear off. A lot happens in this book, with the Sinners still working to take down the NWS, and rebuilding their clubhouse/recovering from the attack.

So many secrets start making sense, but there’s too much that still needs to be discovered. I’m already looking forward to the next book! Another solid five star from Serena!

Im gonna keep this short as to not give away any of the many many many possible spoilers. That being said, move over Nyx, I have new favorite Sinners’ in my life! This gut wrenching, emotional, witty, beautiful, bloody brilliant story blew me away. It is absolutely, 100%, definitely a Must Read and I highly recommend it!
