Once she finishes law school in Chicago, Joan Greenway moves back to her home town of Philadelphia and after successfully passing the bar, lands her dream job; working at the largest criminal defense firm in the city.
The job puts her relationship with District Attorney, Marty Rogers to the test. Marty is an old friend of the family, grew up in the same neighborhood, and fits Joan like a hand to a glove.

A new Girls in the City novel, by the Queen of Romantic Suspense, Suzanne Jenkins, is Joan; she's a Judge's daughter, studying to be a criminal defence attorney in Philadelphia. She's hired by a well-known local law firm, once she graduates two years later and her career goes from strength to strength, as she wins more advanced cases.
Her love life on the other hand is complicated by comparison....men who won't commit, are jealous of her success, or want her as just a 'friend with benefits' are not what she deserves or wants.
Complications in the love department continue to be a distraction, while her legal career hits the top.
Then after a rocky start, she meets and falls hard for Jake, an OR doctor at a nearby hospital.
Will they get their HEA? Will Joan make partner?

Great book!
This is another terrific series by Suzanne Jenkins. After Joan graduates from law school in Chicago, she moves back home to Philadelphia. After clerking for her father who is a Judge and after passing the Bar, she is invited to apply for the job of her dreams. Wonderful storylines and fabulous characters. I really enjoyed this book.

Suzanne Jenkins never disappoints. Quick easy read that is always a feel good story.
