It’s no secret that kids are sicker than ever before. Many of us are aware and see the need for change, but knowing and doing are two different things. The first part of the book with personal experiences was interesting and informative. The second part of the book was more like "Eat This, Not That" with a couple tiny paragraphs thrown in the front of the chapters to make it relatable. I wouldn't really recommend reading unless you absolutely have no idea what would be healthier than candy or chips as a snack, though really there's other books out there that are more comprehensive and not just a short list that you may or may not find in your local grocery store. The author also spoke about moving her family to New Zealand as a cure to their chronic illnesses, which of course a majority of the readers cannot do. The use of Food Babe as a source and reference was a complete turnoff and bumped my rating down considerably - she has been known to make claims without sufficient evidence and seeing a doctor use her as a source, well, Dr. Temple's credibility has just been significantly lowered.

There was some really good info in here. That being said, the qr codes on every page are super annoying, maybe have a appendix for those at the end instead? A lot of the info was fairly obvious too.

Super helpful guide for healthy and non-toxic living, especially regarding food. There is a ton of information and easy takeaways. It annoyed me that almost every chapter started off with a "dig" at her husband but if you can look past that the info is great. Her social media accounts are full of info as well. Highly recommend for everyone, especially parents (definitely parents of children with asthma, allergies, eczema, adhd)!

An "OK" place to start if you're wanting to clean up your food and lifestyle from a standard American diet. I strongly disagree with her stance on meat and a few other things, but overall a decent place to start for most people who are living the typical modern toxic way of life.

I didn’t dive too far into her scientific facts, but this is a very well-researched book
