After Seven Day Loan I was hoping for more of Daniel and here it is.
As we know Daniel visited Terra del Fuego originally just to send Eleanor a post card and after spending a year and a half scrambling up mountains, trekking through rain forests, and digging through ancient ruins, he's back.
He visits his old friend Kingsley and meets Anya, the temperamental doorkeeper, not just a virgin but a prize virgin up for auction.

This is an incredibly short read (25 pages) it's nice but there's not much here no sex just I'm assuming a bridge to the next read.

I'm having trouble finding some of these books, I'm hating the 0.1, 0.25, 0.3, 0.35 etc numbering system. I know these are short reads but I've enjoyed the two I've read so far and I intended to continue on but it's too much like hard work trying to find them so I'm out.

Originally he’d gone there for her…or more accurately gone there because of her. She’d joked about Terra del Fuego for some reason. Obviously she’d just liked saying the name. He’d had too much money, too much free time, too little sense, and the desperate need to prove something to her…and to himself too. He’d actually gone to Terra del Fuego, to the very end of the world, just to send the girl a damn postcard.

The Auction is a fun but complicated love story between Daniel and Anya, two individuals available as prizes in the annual charity auction hosted by Kingsley Edge, the underground’s king of kink. It’s super sexy, funny, offers plenty of fan favorite cameos, and provides that deeper layer of emotion that Tiffany Reisz excels at. It’s never just erotica. It’s a character-driven story based on the human experience and built on hope.

The Auction is an Original Sinners novella, approximately 200 pages long, and follows the very first short story in this series: The Gift (formerly Seven Day Loan). No, you do not need to read The Gift first - Reisz has included any necessary backstory. No, you do not need to have previously read any of the full length novels - The Auction works as a standalone novella. You’re good. But go ahead and buy all the other books anyway. Trust me.

Tiffany Reisz is gold.

Thank you to the following for permitting me access to an advance reader's copy (ARC) of The Auction. This generosity did not impact my honesty when rating/reviewing.

After Eleanor doesn't stay with Daniel, he decides that it's time for him to leave the house, his property - to live. He have stayed a recluse because he was chained to the memory of his dead wife and he may be traveling the world for Eleanor, but once he gets back to the states he is pushed to start to do it all for himself. In seven days his heart was revived after three long years of feeling nothing but grief. When he ends up on Kingsley's doorstep in NY, he finds himself getting back to his own reality. He knows he can't have the woman that he wants, but when he meets Anya, new feelings start to develop.

I love that the readers wanted more Daniel and that TR listened and gave us this short free read that gives him some closure. Kingsley has been an interesting character so far for me and that doesn't change a bit for me after reading this. There is something that is going to be explosive on the horizon for this character. I loved seeing him get a bit more serious when it came to the 'talk' he had with Daniel about Eleanor and Soren, but adore his humorous banter as well.

"I don't want to conquer the world, mon ami. I just want to fuck it." - Kingsley

I've seen Nora as a Dom during The Siren and pieces of her being the sub throughout these shorts and during her own memories; but loved seeing the feisty woman coming out of her throughout these little stories. I enjoy the D/s stories, but really don't enjoy when the women are weak - Nora is proving that she is anything but weak and is slowly becoming one of my favorite heroines.

The Original Sinners is one of my happy places. TIffany Reisz is just a masterful storyteller in their world. Whether it’s a novel or a novella, every one of them shines.

This story of Daniel is scrumptious. It has Kingsley, Eleanor, and Soren…….need I say more. But the story of Daniel and his reemergence into society is wonderful. I love that he get suckered into The Auction but what happens in The Auction is what ultimately what makes the story. Daniel is the whole package. A dominant but one that wants it all in the end. His story is heartbreaking but only Tiffany Reisz can give him his HEA in the most wicked of ways.

As I said before, I never want to say goodbye to these characters. I didn't think I could love Daniel anymore. He was all broken and wonderful... but fully dominant and confident Daniel is a force to be reckoned with. I think I may have to re-order whom I love most and put him at the top... Shocking, I know!!! Wow, this was just wonderful. Loved it!!!

4.5 stars!

I loved delving back into the world of the Original Sinners in this short but heartfelt story, full of all of the fabulous characters, wit, sarcasm, sex and kink that makes this series such a favourite.

This is a quick read (just 132 pages) and is set after The Gift (previously published as Seven Day Loan), and before The Siren. It’s a continuation of the story of Daniel, the hero introduced in The Gift, when he was gifted a week with a young, submissive Eleanor as a way to help him deal with his debilitating grief after losing his wife. Daniel fell for Eleanor in a big way, but of course she belonged to another, so he’s spent the last few years trekking around South America trying to forget about her and find his way to move forward. Now he’s back in New York, and his first stop is to visit the King of the Underground, Kingsley, and that’s where he meets snarky and sarcastic submissive, Anya. Anya is the main event for Kingsley’s upcoming charity auction, where she is auctioning off her virginity in order to help protect and provide for her family, and though she seems to hate Daniel on site, he is drawn to her and feels a need to protect her. And when Kingsley puts Daniel himself on the auction block, his matchmaking sets up a fantastic story.

As expected, there’s lots of sexy time, most of it with a healthy side of kink - Daniel is a Dom after all. But he’s also a man searching for love, which brings a nice amount of emotion to the story, and as Daniel and Anya dance around each other, we get a fun, sexy and sweet romance with a satisfying ending.

“I want you in my collar. I want to own you,” he said into her hair. “I want to love you, too.”
“Yes, I want that. Please.”

Of course, we get to see much-loved characters from the series. Kingsley is a complete scene stealer as always, and I laughed pretty much every time he was on the page. There’s a fair bit of Eleanor, and of course, Søren, and even though the interactions were brief, I revelled in the dynamics between the fantastic trio.

“I love you, Kingsley,” a woman shouted out in the middle of his speech.
“Your taste is impeccable,” he replied without missing a beat. “See me after the auction.”

This is a great addition to the Original Sinners world – a must-read for fans, but it can also standalone.

I loved it – 4.5 stars.

description

Most of us remember Daniel from a previous novella. He's a widower and back then he was so depressed that Søren gave him Eleanor for a week. Unfortunately he kinda fell in love with her and he had to give her back - obviously.
But then he went on a long trip to South America to heal. And now he's back.
First stop Kingsley's place to apologize for what happened back then and to maybe find a little companionship.
Which he does.
And then there's Anya. A french Canadian who kinda hates him on sight. LOL! Challenge accepted for our darling Dom Daniel.

LET THE FUN TIMES BEGIN!

What do you want me to say? It's a Tiffany Reisz book, so there's not a chance that it was anything but amazing.
This little story was adorable, funny, a bit heartbreaking and mucho erotic!
We can't help but adore Daniel and Anya. And of course we love our darlings Kingsley, Søren and Eleanor!

Perfect little story in this best series of all time!
Can't wait to get more soon PLEASE!

I feel like that girl who should have paid more attention in class! I read the Seven Day Loan and loved, loved, loved Daniel. I know he’s referred to in the Original Sinners books as being happy and loved but I can’t remember which one.

Daniel arrives at Kingsley’s house after being away on his adventures and is met by Celine Dion. Of course, it’s not the real Celine, she would never wear a cute little sailor girl dress. But this Celine is super, super, super, super cute and she’s feisty and witty and a perfect little sub, ready to be auctioned off in King’s charity auction. She’s also part of his Imperial Collection, you’ve got to love that man.

I adore the wittiness in Tiffany Reisz books. The banter between characters is just perfect. It has me laughing all the time. I know I shouldn’t have a favourite but I can’t help it. King is my ride or die. I’d die to ride him.

King is superb in this novella. Daniel is a lion! Eleanor is busy thinking about things and what her future holds for her (I foretell a Nora in your future).

Best series ever. Best spin offs ever. Daniel, you’re a star and the scars can now heal.

“This is Kingsley Edge we’re talking about. There are only three people in the city who haven’t seen him naked. And they’ve all been in a coma since the late eighties.”

“The second he had her in his arms, it felt like he finally knew we he had arms. The second he kissed her he understood why he had lips.”

That's some librarian!

It's been so long since I read about Daniel and Anya. What stood out to me first during this re-read, though, wasn't anything about Daniel or Anya, but rather a kinky Frenchman, and that was that there was a lot more Kingsley in this story than I remembered. What a treat!

What was also a treat is that this story is set in the past, in the Sinners' younger, wilder deviant days. That's always wicked fun.

In The Auction Daniel was back from his travels, and found himself on Kingsley's doorstep ready for some kink. Kingsley, being his sneaky self, tricked Daniel into being in his "charity" auction. Also in the auction is Anya, a submissive rude to Daniel, who caught his eye. Fearing for her safety, Daniel would do what he can to get her to not go through with the auction, and possibly keep her for himself.

The Auction is another heartwarming, kinky, fun story Tiffany Reisz is so good at writing.

*I received a free copy of The Auction. This has in no way influenced my voluntary review which is honest and unbiased.*

As always, every little foray into the Original Sinners universe is a trip I can't resist. Anya and Daniel were so very different from each other. Daniel, the hot, brooding widower who didn't know what to do with his life, and who thought he was in love with Eleanor was no match for 24-year-old virgin Anya. She just wanted to make enough money to be able to finish raising her brothers and sisters without too much hassle.
There were many sightings of Kingsley and Elle, and a few of Søren, so those cravings were definitely met. However, I have to say that Anya and Daniel really made the story in The Auction, and I loved them both!
A little kink, a lot of chemistry, a splash of attraction and voilà - here you have a new bestseller by Reisz.

Every time I read one of these, I'm reminded why I love the sinners series. It doesn't matter how long since I have read any of them, it doesn't matter where on the timeline of their lives, or what side characters it involves (in fact I'd say you could read this shorter story without having read others), it's the vibe. Steamy, naughty, cheeky and fun. There's always humor, heart, and this author pulls you into the bdsm world in a way no one else does.

Daniel is supposed to be in town just for a minute, and seems to not have moved on since his last lover, or the one before. And Anya is super fresh meat, who dislikes him on site. And Daniel, ugh, that man puts his foot in his mouth all the time. It's awful. But I loved their build up and the real connection. I loved the big event at the end, and seeing more glimpses into our favorite OG sinners lives, too.

The Auction takes us back into the world of the sinners we love so much. The story is centered around Daniel and Anya but has enough of our unholy Trinity to keep us happy. Daniel is still reeling from the loss of his wife and having trouble letting go of his week with Eleanor when he shows up at King's place. There he meets Anya, who seems to hate him on sight.

Anya is beautiful, snarky, and fits perfectly in the world of sinners. But beneath the sarcasm and disdain, lies heartbreak. Anya has a story of her own. Daniel is determined to help her, and it isn't long before she consumes his every thought. Hot, steamy, and deliciously kinky with the witty, entertaining banter we've come to expect from Reisz, this hot little read is a must for any Original Sinners fan.

I'm not sure this is even belong on BDSM shelf as it is on a very very mild side. It is a very cute cozy novella. Easy Saturday morning read no angst involved maybe just a tiny little bit of drama.

Description is a bit confusing - it lets you think all will start with an auction when it is actually ending with it. And I foresaw the final twist, was kinda predictable, don't you think? Still very nice touch.

Haven't read any other stories in this series so didn't hold anyone for favorite or held any grudges against characters. Couldn't decide if Daniel was in a lifestyle or just playing. Liked Irina a lot, even though she wasn't a heroine this time. I wonder if she got herself a part where she is.

LOVE Daniel!!! So glad he got his HEA after Maggie xo.

Kingsley steals every scene for me!!!

FAV QUOTES:
“I know you’re trying to be a good man,” Kingsley said. “You’ve always been a good man. Too good for the likes of us around here. I knew that day Maggie brought you to us, that you would never fit in. Your halo would keep getting caught up in our pitchforks.”

“If something ever happened to my Eleanor…”. He paused and took a breath. “There would be no hole, no chasm, no canyon deep enough to contain my grief.”

“I’ve got nothing but ideas….” Nora<—- 😉

Read this under the book titled, The Auction.

This is a short novella of how Daniel met Anya. Reisz carefully tied up the the strings of connection that seems to link all the characters, beautifully, again. All the main characters of the Original series are presented in this book and had a hand in bringing them together, especially Kingsley.

It is a story of how Daniel and Anya who hated one another come to fall for each other. Besides that, it is also a story about Daniel moving on, from being haunted by the memories of his late wife and also yearning for the unattainable Nora.

I will never get enough of any of the characters connected to the Original Sinners series.
We are reunited with Daniel and we are taken back to when he was given Eleanor in the Seven Day Loan but a few years have passed and we get to see just how far Daniel has come or if he has moved on with his life.

Thanks Tiffany for another great instalment to all things sinners.

In The Mistress we hear about Daniel and his new marriage, but this not so little novella actually introduced us to his Anya and all the drama these two went throught to finally be together.

I loved this novella and can't wait for more of these two, because we deserve one night of play after the sexy scenes. Daniel is a good Dom and Anya could be the perfect submissive in his bed, but we never got the chance to see actually happening.

I adore Daniel when he was first introduced. He was so disfunctionally broken. I love how Eleanor saved him from his misery and I love how he started living his life after that.

In this one, I love him even more. I think his best quality was that he was a "nice" Dom. He's sweet and considerate. If I ever wanted to be a sub, I would want someone like him to be my Dom haha!

I'm fully satisfied that he found his happy ending because he deserved it.
