About the author

Alexis has been working as a Canadian Actor for over to twenty years and has appeared on stage at the acclaimed Stratford Festival, Perchance Theatre at Cupids, the Watermark Theatre in PEI, The Sudbury Theatre Centre, The Lighthouse Festival Theatre, and many others.She holds a BFA with a Specialization in Theatre Performance from Concordia University in Montreal and a Masters Degree in Education from Medaille College in Buffalo.
Alexis lived in Niagara-on-the-Lake for over a decade but now makes her home in St. John's, Newfoundland.
Encore is Alexis' debut novel and the first in the Bella James series and was shortlisted for the 2016 Arthur Ellis Award for Best First Novel and the Bony Blithe Award. The sequel, Triple Threat, was released in early 2018, and the third book in the series, Revival, in 2020.

Holy WOW! What a great twist ending to a fabulous book. I’m ready for book four already.

This one really surprised me. The first couple paragraphs I wasn't sure but by the end of the first chapter I was hooked. I quickly read this story over two days. I needed to know what happened. This is the third book but can be read as a stand alone easily. I loved Bella's strength and quick wittedness. I loved the cop and the actress working together to solve a crime. This story was so intriguing - babies being sold on the black market. This author added twist after twist after twist. It kept surprising me, not just with the case but also with the characters. I will definitely be checking out more stories in this series!!!

I just finished the 3rd Bella James book REVIVAL and absolutely could not put it down. The only problem Alexis Koetting's is that I have to wait for her to write the next one. Her writing makes me want to "binge read". You will not be disappointed in her writing style and you will fall in love with the characters. It is especially fun that the books take place in Niagara on the Lake, a town that I am very familiar with.
