A Tempting Motion is an 8,000 word enemies-to-lovers romance about a prosecutor and a defense attorney who refuse to back down in the courtroom and in the bedroom. Don’t worry, despite their love/hate relationship these two somehow find an HEA. This short story is a standalone, but since fictional Ashland County is full of legal intrigue, some characters may appear in other stories written in the same universe.

I literally inhaled this story!

This is such a great short story because it mainly focused on Britta and Theo’s chemistry and the case they were working on. Giving the right amount of depth to everything happening without seeming rushed.

I totally dig Britta and her attitude!
I think because her confidence is realistic to her profession but it also increased the push and pull of sexual tension between her and Theo. And yeah he’s definitely an Alpha and knew exactly how to get a reaction but more than that I liked his genuineness and honesty when it came to his work and his feelings towards Britta.

Loved this short story! As with most short stories the plot moves quickly but I loved the banter and the characters. Britta is a new prosecutor and she’s working on a murder case opposite defense attorney, Theo. Together they need to essentially solve the case and their chemistry is 🔥 I liked the writing style and can’t wait to read Escaping Conviction!

Loved this short story! Greer has an amazing prose and an incredible way of breathing life into her characters. Theo and Britta burn hot from start to finish, and their spicy chemistry and banter made me fly through these pages and finish this story way too quick. I was begging for more at the end of it all, and I can't wait to read more of Greer's stories!

If you like enemy to lovers romances you'll enjoy this book. This is a short story that packs a lot of punch. Guaranteed to keep you page-turning and won't let you put it down once you start reading. The chemistry between Britta and Theos will ignite your Kindle. This book contains some triggers - explicit descriptions of sex, drug trafficking, strong language, and physical violence. The back and forth banter between the main characters will keep you in stitches. Britta is the prosecutor and Theo is the defense attorney. Love wins out in the end with a beautiful HEA. I read an arc via the author and voluntarily chose to write a review.

This enemies to lovers romance has everything a short story needs. From steam to chemistry, tension, depth and humor, A Tempting Motion has it all.

The focus of the story is the relationship of Theo and Britta and the case they are working on. Their chemistry is palpable, their banter is hilarious and the sexual tension will set everything on fire.

While this is a short story, it doesn't feel rushed and you get to know the characters.
A Tempting Motion was my first meeting with Greer Rivers writing, but it left me craving for more.
Fortunately, I won't have to wait long as the 1st book of the Night Stalkers series, Escaping Conviction will get published February 13th.

Loved it!

What a perfect read on a rainy day. A Tempting Motion is a fun short story showing off Greer Rivers’ steamy writing style and witty characters. Britta and Theo have great chemistry which left me wanting more of them. This is a great look into her Night Stalker series which I can’t wait to read! I highly recommend it!

Someone give me a full length book PLEASE.

Okay but this was a short and sweet fun little novella and I really enjoyed it even though I will always want full length books from Greer because I love her stories to much. Some great characters, great chemistry and a story that managed to develop well in such a short book!

I loved the little insight into the Ashland County world that we dive deeper into in the conviction series and the little hints towards some characters.

I recommend starting with this one and then diving headfirst into the conviction series because it’s soooo good!

This short story moves at a fast pace, with two confident, driven characters as the leads. The chemistry is explosive between the pair, leading to an intense physical connection.

However, I didn't see much to their relationship beyond that physical connection. Both risk their professions to spend time together, but perhaps the story was too short to really fill out a deeper relationship between the two.

Three stars for this short romance read.

2.5 Stars ⭐️ This was a fun short novella, it just was a little too short for me to really get invested. Some novellas really work for me when I’m looking for a short but sweet story and I can get on board with the insta-love, this one just didn’t quite do that. Overall it was a good enemies to lovers story and I liked their connection, there was just something missing that made it a little surface level emotionally.

Read this quick novella as a first read for me of this author - Greer Rivers is set to attend BB4E in Vancouver next year and I'm trying to read as many authors who are attending as I can. This book was short and sweet and it's hard to really get a feel for an author with such a short story so I will likely try something in the future again.

I Love Good BanterI love how confident Britta and that she stands her ground no matter what when comes to her career. I can't help but to like that Theo mess with her when ever he get a chance make it sexy at least to me. I can't wait for the next book I need the next book to know what the evil plan is.
