My primary interest is historical, either fiction or non fiction, but I can enjoy most anything from Jane Austin to Kipling to J K Rowling. I have been very quiet on this site, but I think I might be a bit more active now.
I also enjoy the stimulation of meeting people and finding out about them.

I am not quite finished with the book. I will finish it in the next day or two. But I do not have to finish the story to review it. Malcolm Archibald has created a masterpiece in this 5th rendition of Melcorka's life. He has used the ancient legends, the ancient knowledge as a base for the story of good versus evil. Will evil prevail. Read the story. I will not spoil it for you. What I will say is the book is impeccably written. The characters, whether you have read all the Melcorka novels, or only this one, are filled with life, and the love of the author for his subjects. Clearly Malcolm lived in the ancient times, and brought his prior life experiences with him. These give us a wondrous glance into life in the past, the struggle of times past brought to the most basic levels. I love the description of the Queen of the fairies, Maelona, and the time spent there byt Melcorka with Bradan. I love Bradan's devotion to Melcorka and his understanding and willingness to accept and assist her in the quests she must follow. Everything about the stories of the SWORDSWOMAN makes each of the books readable, and well worth the minimal expense and time necessary. Another tour de force by a wonderful writer. Well done Malcolm.

I think this book is the last in the Swordswomen series. It is Fantasy tale set in 11th century Scotland, with swordplay, sorcery, travel, adventure and dark forces at work. Excellent entertainment!
