I absolutely love this book. It has some lovely and easy to make recipes that don't break the bank. It also has insight on how to eat mindfully but does not "shove it down your throat" so to speak. There are also some simple gardening tips to grow your own herbs and veg. This is definitely going to become one of my go to books!
I've bookmarked several recipes in this book. As a student in a plant-based culinary course, I am always lo0king for more tools in my kit. There are a lot of fairly easy, and tasty, recipes in this book. As a yoga teacher, I love how there are several yoga postures discussed in this book that will help open up the digestive system and calm the nerves and mind.
This is my kind of book and it has come at the right time. The world of 2020 is crazy. Anxiety is high with the pandemic and politics. What better way to calm down that to immerse yourself in a book filled with calming yoga, delicious plant based recipes and fun home crafts. I love it.
I became aware of mindful eating at age 10 when I was reading a book. Over the course of several hours, I devoured an entire family size bag of chips without realizing, and was subsequently banned from eating and reading simultaneously. However despite abstaining from this activity since, I still have not been very mindful about food. There were a lot of great tips on how to improve your mindfulness, things that I would never have thought of, along with yoga guides and delicious-looking mostly vegan recipes. Some things in the book were a little too unscientific for me, but most of it was good info.
