Cactus Glover has been living in a cabin on the edge of Shiloh Ridge Ranch for ten years. He's suffered tremendous losses, and it's taken him a long time to heal his heart, body, and mind. Recently, he's seen his brothers and cousins find the women of their dreams, and he wants to try again too.

Willa Knowlton has come to Three Rivers with her brother after a car accident that left her body and pride injured. She has no drivers license, no car, and plenty of secrets about why. She and Cactus get off to a thorny start, but the more time she spends with the quiet, observant cowboy, the more she wants to know about him.

She's ready to take that step, but then she gets a call from her lawyer, and her ex-husband has been arrested and their son needs her. She'd lost custody of him, but she jumps at the chance to get him back. She leaves her choir responsibilities and Three Rivers to reunite with her ten-year-old, and all she can do is pray that when she returns, Cactus will be waiting.

When Willa returns to town with a child, Cactus is beyond surprised. The presence of the boy throws him straight back to his past trauma, and he'll have to work through some issues he thought he already had. Can Willa and Cactus navigate this new ground between them to build a family this Christmas?

This is book five of the Shiloh Ridge Ranch in Three Rivers Romance series and tells the story of Cactus Glover and Willa Knowlton. Cactus suffered a huge loss over ten years ago and he has struggled to cope with it, or get over it. He has been living in a small cabin on the edge of Shiloh Ridge, but is finally have it rebuilt into a bigger home and is stuck in the basement of the main ranch house, which is not perfect. He prefers to be alone and doesn’t like being in crowds, even amongst his own large family, it makes him uncomfortable and he often leaves as soon as he can. But he has been seeing his brothers and cousins finding their happiness with the love of their life and he wonders whether he is ready to try again. He meets a woman called Willa at the family Christmas party, but nothing comes of it at the time. She has lots of problems in her past and secrets she isn’t willing to reveal just yet. She came to Three Rivers with her brother, who got her into preaching, when he was offered a post there. She was recovering from a bad car accident, from which she had been left without her license, a car and her ten year old son. She gets a call from her lawyer and her ex-husband has been jailed for a drugs offence and she has got custody of her deaf son back at last.

When she returns with her son Micah, Cactus is thrown a little, but secretly starts to learn sign language over the internet, so he can communicate with him. His last relationship was with a woman with a child and it turned out he had a better relationship with the child than the woman he was dating. He worries that his new attraction to Willa could be for the same reason and his is uncertain if he can open his heart fully, without losing the part of himself he has kept hidden from his loss a decade ago. He wants to open up to Willa, but the relationship goes extremely slowly and after a couple of months he still hasn’t even kissed her! As one of his brother’s points out to him, maybe that is because if he kisses her, he will lose his heart to her and know that he is in love. His own fears are stopping him from trying to progress the relationship. He takes Willa and Micah with him when he chooses a new dog, and ends up coming away with two, Galaxy and Tank. He ends up having to leave the dogs with them when a new baby arrives in the family. He offers to buy a car for Willa, but she doesn’t want to be a charity case or beholden to him, not knowing quite at that time, that he is a multi-billionaire, as are the rest of his family members!

A rift arrives with his oldest brother Bear, when he comes across Willa broken down in the cheap car she gets once she manages to get her licence back, and insists on taking her to pick out a new car, that will be more reliable. She wants to pay him back each month, but Bear insists it is an early birthday present! How on earth Cactus is supposed to tip that, leaves him at blows with Bear and unable to even talk to him, not forgive him. Willa starts to be busier with her choir work and regular part time preaching, and when she reveals some of her past to the congregation in a sermon, angering Cactus, as she hadn’t revealed any of this to him, even after he had begun to open up about his own past to her. It almost splits them up, with a huge argument in the church corridor, heard by many, but as Willa points out, he never asked her anything about her past! He still has a lot to learn about relationships and with the number of weddings and engagements, plus a baby, all happening in this extended family, he is far behind the curve. He is still going to his therapy sessions and starts going to horse therapy sessions with young Lincoln, who he is close to and who is also having love issues.

He decides to fund a hearing dog for Micah and even manages to get Willa and Micah to go along to a horse therapy session, even if Willa isn’t confident enough to try and ride a horse with her leg pain. Cactus has finally kissed her and is definitely finding he is in love with her, as she is with him, but trying to pop the question gets a spanner thrown into it as family mess up the secret occasion. With periods of Cactus not talking to Willa, or his brother Bear, and others in the extended family having success in dating and marriage, the pressure mounts. Cactus takes his time when he has to face his own issues and they are never anything he can deal with quickly. He needs his space and somewhere quiet to be able to figure out for himself, how to deal with his issues. Weeks go by before he can forgive his brother, thankfully, Willa takes the first step in gaining his trust again. Micah ends up with his hearing dog, Frost, and takes to him immediately. Cactus even takes him up to the farm, to work with him and Link. A lovely tale of not just Cactus, Willa and Micah, but loads of the Glover extended family interwoven into the storyline. Next will be Preacher’s story and I can’t wait after reading the preview of it. Each story gives you a HEA, but with realistic issues to be dealt with by each person, whether from their past or their current fears which hold them back from that opening up to love. Wonderful family relationships that hold a great example to others. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion above.

I loved this book!!
The author brings a captivating book about the adventure of falling in love. This book centers around Cactus Glover and Willa Knowlton. Cactus has suffered a loss in his past that has shaped his life completely. With the help of his therapist he's starting to venture out and start living again. Being 44 and staying busy on the ranch doesn't lead to much time for dating, but his greatest desire is to have a family. Willa Knowlton moved to the area a year ago to be closer to her brother. She is currently the music director at the church where her brother is an assistant pastor. She is a single mother to her son who is deaf, so to say her life isn't easy is an understatement. She and Cactus are friends, which is conveyed in a very genuine way, and have an attraction. Willa has a past that she isn't willing to share just yet, but Cactus isn't sure he's ready to open up yet. Suddenly Willa and Cactus find things more complicated that they ever imagined.
This book has a sweet plot, complex main characters, well integrated secondary characters, romantic tension, raw and real emotions, turmoil, love, and lots of faith. It's a book I would recommend to anyone who loves a good, clean romance.

This story is sweet, emotional and wonderfully written. Both Willa and Cactus have suffered terrible losses in their lives, losses that have made them wary of opening their hearts to others. Love can bring great joy, but it can also bring great pain as both Willa and Cactus have found out. They harbour a degree of guilt over the events of their pasts as well. Losing his family ten years ago led Cactus to withdraw from his friends and the remainder of his family. He has lived his life since than as a hermit. He is only now starting to venture out a little more and the test the waters of building or rebuilding relationships. He and Willa can see the pain each other still holds on to, but like him she is moving forward in life. Willa is a single mother of a ten year old son who is deaf and is the musical director at the church where her brother serves as pastor. What begins as a friendship between her and Cactus soon turns into something deeper.....something that neither of them are are sure they are ready to experience again. To accept love into their lives again, both have to let go of their pasts and expose some secrets. Will they move forward toward a future together or stage a retreat?

I have fallen in love with the Glover family and Cactus, in particular. This man had his heart ripped out and lived as a shadow of himself for a decade. However, with the help of his family, he is venturing into life once again. When he meets Willa, something in her spirit calls to him and brings peace to his soul. Willa, who is no stranger to tragedy, also needs healing and finds Cactus's calming influence in his presence. They encounter several bumps in their journey to their HEA ending. Along the way, each member of the Glover family shares pieces of themselves throughout this book.
This talented author writes books filled with "real" people. They have flaws and often make mistakes that hurt themselves and their loved ones. Each one has struggled and searched for answers to some of life's most difficult problems. And yet, with faith in God and support and love of a close-knit family, the Glovers are each finding their HEA ending. Kudos, Liz Isaacson, for sharing your talents with uplifting messages in these inspirational novels!

You will love the Glover’s at Shiloh Ridge Ranch! Cactus is the second oldest brother and has always had a “prickly” nature. He is a recluse who usually wants to be left alone and has taken many years to get over the death of his infant son and the breakup of his first marriage. Just when he is trying to be more sociable and interact more with his family he meets Willa. Willa comes with her own baggage from the past and just when Cactus gets the nerve to ask her out she abruptly disappears for a short time then reappears with a young son who is deaf. You will love seeing the softer side of Cactus as he learns sign language so he can communicate with Mitch and you will cry and your heart will break when you think there is a rift between the Glover brothers that cannot be repaired. The love and commitment between all the family members is very special and you will love all the characters. This is a great series with older main characters that have history. Don’t miss this new clean, inspirational romance from Liz Isaacson!

I loved this book. There were times that I had tears in my eyes so keep tissues handy. This book shows that we can overcome our past to have a happy future with love and family and that they will forgive you and still love you the same. We all have things in our past that we have a hard time overcoming whether it was a mistake we made with severe consequences or things that were out of our control like the loss of a child and the pain that causes. People deal with these things in different ways.. some turn to the Lord and some turn away. Cactus and Willa both have faced the loss of a child but to different degrees and for different reasons. They are drawn to each other but are afraid to let each other in all the way because then they have to relive their painful fast in order to move forward. Willa is able to take some of the prickliness away from Cactus but they will have many hurdles to overcome to make their relationship work. Can they overcome all the hurdles?

The Harmony of Holly, Shiloh Ridge Ranch in Three Rivers, Book 5. We continue to follow the family saga of of the Glover's and the love stories of Arizona and Duke, Ace and Holly Ann, Ida and Brandon, Cactus and Willa and surprisingly enough Lois and Donald. We greet a new baby, Sammy and Bear's baby Stetson. Mitch is brought in and he is deaf so special accommodations have to be made to communicate with him. Cactus rose to that problem by learning sign language online. Lincoln easily becomes friends with Mitch and is taught some sign language. Cactus finds a place called Paws for a Cause to get a deaf trained dog for Mitch. The main theme in this book is the love of family and how hard sometimes it is to ask for forgiveness but, most of all how the love of God forgiving us can heal our wounds.
And if you love the author, Liz Isaacson you will certainly recognize she uses characters from other series together which makes her stories like a visit back home.

I had been waiting for Cactus' story. He and his pain really stood out in the previous books. He was sad, but so sweet with the kids and animals. I was so glad when he met Willa, and then she walked back into his life.

I liked that this family embraced both prayer and counseling to help them through difficult times. I felt for both Cactus and Willa as they shared their pasts and their truths with one another. I did enjoy Cactus opening up with Willa. I was glad to see that he was not bothered by her injury and only wanted to make life better for her and Mitch.

This was a sweet, faith filled, uplifting romance. Although the Glover family and their friends have a strong faith, they never attempt force their views, beliefs, or values down anyone's throat.

I was very happy to see Cactus' and Willa get their HEA. I'm looking forward to Preacher, Ward, Justice's books.

I love both the plant and the cowboy. Willa and Cactus are both emotionally damaged and afraid of reaching out. Liz Isaacson has done her usual excellent job of getting you into the minds and hearts of her characters. I think the real hero in this series is Lois, the mother of one branch of the Glover family (6 boys and 1 girl) and aunt to the other (3 boys and 2 girls). All are grown with individual and in most cases, strong personalities, this includes the ladies. I love this family and getting to know all the different personalities and quirks. Do they always like each other? No, but they always love each other. That is what makes this series real, take away their money and they could be your family or your neighbors and friends. I love Willa’s willingness to put herself out as a church leader even with flaws in her background and Cactus for being willing to learn sign language to be able to communicate with Mitch, Willa’s deaf son. Treat yourself to this book.

This book is about the entire Glover family and features storylines for all the characters, but it’s main focus is on Cactus and Willa. Willa is a single mother to a boy who is deaf. They like each other but due to past hurts they struggle to move forward in a relationship. I loved the way the struggle was handled using communication, patience, and prayer.

The characters for this book were really terrific. Cactus was a beautiful person in so many ways. I loved that Cactus made it a priority to learn sign language so that he could talk to Willa’s son. I also loved his understanding of his own faults and was trying to work on them. I loved the Glover family! Even through fights and disagreements they are still there for each other and love each other. If you love sweet and inspirational romances with great characters, a sweet ending, and a beautiful journey, then read this book today.

family oriented

I come to all the readers to say from the Three Oakes series to the Shiloh Ridge Ranch series that Liz has written in such an amazing way that you actually live in her books.
I honestly get so wrapped up in the books at night I have to make myself have a curfew to when to go to bed. And last night, and I am a 63 year old woman, as I was praying for my children and grandchildren along with my first great grandson which is due in about 3 weeks, without thinking I ask God to help Cactus to forgive Bear and get married and have your happy ever after life.
That is just how you become part of the series. It is like having a whole new family.
Thank you Liz for writing these books for at least me to see how God always moves you even when your past is hard to relive to rehash it to someone special that came into your life.
Looking forward to number 7
I hope this review lets you see, how wonderful and inspiring Liz books are.

I loved this book. My favorite series used to be the Walkers and Seven Sons Ranch, but the Glover family has captured my heart!! Cactus and Willa had a lot of wounds in their past and it was a journey to get to their happily ever after, but with a lot of faith, and their desire to be all God had for them to be they were able to overcome. Cactus is gruff and prickly and has spent the last 10 years of his life isolating himself and avoiding people, but you can see his heart when he relates to children and animals.
The constant thread through all of these books is the strength, love, and devotion of the Glover family. They love and support one another, and even when they fight (even Cactus and Bear coming to blows) their love wins out and forgiveness is freely given and received.
I can't wait to read Preacher's story.

Loved Cactus and Willa's story. Lots of emotion, and the story catches up with all the family weddings, too. I need to go back and read some of the other brothers' stories now, too.

The Glover family is huge, and since they both live and work together, it's tough for the solitary Cactus to feel like he belongs. Willa Knowlton is one of the church's pastors. Cactus makes no secret of his interest in her, but it is his willingness to learn sign language to better communicate with her deaf son that cements him in Willa's heart.

When a falling out with his brother causes Cactus to hold onto a grudge, can Willa convince him that a man who forgives is far stronger than one who won't?

I liked the complexities of the characters in The Harmony of Holly. Each family member has a different gift that benefits the whole. I look forward to reading the rest of the Glover family series.

SO this is book 5 of a series and it is a wonderful book. we are introduced the Cactus in the previous books and I was excited to read his story and it did not disappoint. Cactus is a broken soul, he has been through a lot, (No spoilers) and he has some stuff to over come. He was making progress and seeking help about the time he meets Willa, she is hiding a bit of her own past for a while. These two broken souls could help each other heal and move forward if they can get over the hurdles before them. This is a deep book with serious subjects broached and Liz handles them like a pro. I just cannot say enough about how much I loved this book and this whole series. It is clean and very well done. The whole family plays into each book and I love that about this saga. If you like cowboys at all this series is totally worth your time. Every new book that comes out is my favorite.

I think Cactus is my favourite Glover!

My favourite book of the series so far!
I love Cactus, he has baggage and he owns it. There are times the family are too much, he needs solitude and heads to The Edge, but equally he pushes himself to do things he finds difficult. Once he makes a decision he is all in and he wants Willa and Mitch to be his, can he find the strength to unpack his baggage and his past to allow him a future and a family of his own?
Willa also has baggage, she has a past she is not proud of, but has clawed her way back to the woman she is today. Her biggest hurdle is trust, can she trust Cactus with her heart? He terrifies her because he makes her feel, he makes her feel too much.
As usual in this visit to Shiloh Ranch we have lots of love, laughter, new additions, weddings, babies, puppies, cakes, disagreements, ice cream and forgiveness!

The Best Series I Have Ever Read!!

The love that Cactus finds within himself after such a long time of being mad at himself and everyone else is amazing. His struggles to bring harmony back into his heart and life seems to effect everyone on the ranch. His journey to become the man he wanted to be was a war within himself. That is, until Willa came into his life. A woman with secrets in her past and her deff son. Does Cactus overcome his anger? Does Willa reveal her secrets to Cactus? Does Cactus accepts the mistakes and still love her? What about her son? Could Cactus be a good father to him. Then there's the rest of the Glover family with their problems and how they mix their lives together on Shiloh Ridge Ranch. This family is full of interesting stories that are expertly put together in this book series. Read them. You won't be disappointed.

Cactus lost his family 10 years ago and pretty much stays by himself in his secluded cabin or on the periphery of his huge family of siblings and cousins. He is lost in his mind with grief. Willa has come to town with her pastor brother and children. She has a background with her own grievous situation that she is not sharing. He is slowly starting to come back to the land of the living and she is continuing to heal. Can these two broken people heal each other and become a family? There are many trials and tribulations to overcome. This is the next story about the Glover clan and while other characters from past books appear, it could easily stand alone. This is another exceptional book by Liz!

The Harmony of Holly is book 5 in the Shiloh Ranch in Three Rivers by Liz Isaacson about the Glover family. What a great family!

Next is Cactus Glover, he has had some tremendous losses in his life but his brothers and cousins finding love he knows it’s time to open his heart again. When Willa Knowlton came to town to preach along side of her brother these two get off to a prickly start but then Willa leaves with no notice and returns with her deaf son which he knew nothing about.

Surprises, past traumas, secrets, issues are just a few of what happens to this couple and how the family helps the, along to possibly find their HEA.

This story is full of so many emotions; sadness, grief, anger, frustration, doubt, forgiveness, hope, happiness, and love everywhere you look. I have a big soft spot for Cactus and my heart went out to him and I was willing him and Willa to communicate and get to their HEA. I loved his relationship with Mitch and how he was with children and animals in general. Personally I think that all the cousins need to sit down and have a big heart to heart as there are things that need to be said before there's another showdown. I like how interlocked all the books are and I so now want to find out what happens next for Preacher.

Cactus has been alone for 10 years after suffering great loss. He has been healing slowly, and is starting to look around and see others finding someone. Although he has no idea how to move himself out of his rut, he sees Willa and recognizes his interest.

Willa has been withdrawn as well, but she moves to Three Rivers for her son’s sake. She hopes to start a new life there. When she and Cactus meet, she is hopeful that this is the start to her new life. But as isolated as Cactus has been for so long, will he try to step out of his shell and open his heart to a new family? Would she be receptive to that idea as well?

This was a good story line. Grab your copy and see if these two can find a common ground and begin to live their lives again.

Cactus is finally ready to move on from the pain of losing his wife and baby. I was expecting to find out more details of what happened but we were given very little. I also found it a bit hard to believe that someone who had been married before was acting so clueless about proposing. Willa has a complicated past and came a long way changing her life. I absolutely adored her deaf 10 year old son Mitch. I liked the way he was portrayed as capable, pleasant and normal other than his deafness. It was nice to read a story where the deaf child was accepted by all and I found the new communication aid interesting to learn about. Another wonderful Glover family novel.

Love the Glover family!

It is now time for the Glover hermit to come out of his shell and find love again. Charles "Cactus" Glover has been holed up in his cabin on the edge of the ranch ever since his infant son died and his wife divorced her him.

Adopting two puppies pushes him out of his comfort zone when he meet Willa, an associate pastor and child director at his church. Willa has come to Three Rivers after a devastating auto accident leaves her disabled and joins her brother at his new church. Add-in in Willa's adorable deaf-mute son, will this romance even take off?

After many twists and turns in their developing relationship, love wins. "The Harmony of Holly" is a heartwarming tale of redemption and second chances.

This sweet Christmas romance was a fun one to read. While you can get away with reading the books out of order, I strongly recommend you don't. This book features the romances and wedding of some of the other siblings so skipping ahead will cause spoilers and may cause some confusion.

I loved reading about Cactus's story- with his prickly heart and weakness for all children. To see him find his happily ever after with someone as amazing as Willa, it was refreshing and rewarding. Willa is such a great example of redemption and becoming a new person in Christ. She and Cactus are a great match that just work together.

Cactus is a recluse after he had lost his family, but when he meets Willa, he is contemplating to try again.
The problem is that both keep from telling each other about their past and when hers catches up with Willa, giving her a chance to regain custody of her son, it causes a problem for Cactus.
Working through their issues is the topic of this book.
Like all of Ms. Isaacson's books, it is well-written with empathy for people who have a troubled past and have to work through it to get to have their happy relationship.
A good read, entertaining and easy-to-read.

You will love this sweet story of two people who recover from their past tragedies! I admired Cactus Glover who works to be a better man and let God change him! Cactus even learns sign language on-line so he can communicate with Willa's young son! Even before he gets enough courage to ask Willa for a date! I enjoyed learning about service dogs from Paws With a Cause and more about Courage Reins therapy program. You will enjoy catching up with more of the Shiloh Ridge Ranch community if you have read earlier books about this family. I recommend The Harmony of Holly to others! I received a complimentary e-book from the author. This is my honest opinion.

There's a lot of emotion in this one.
Cactus had previously dealt with depression by isolating himself from everyone—for about a decade. Now he's working his way out of that isolation and still learning to cope with different situation differently than he had in the past and to deal with people that don't always behave as he expects them to.

He has the unconditional love and support from his family, even when their interactions don't go smoothly... and he has the love of Willa and her son Mitch. If he'll accept it.

I wanted to read Cactus’s story since we first read Bear’s story. Willa is a single mom to a ten year old deaf boy. Cactus is great with Mitch and tries hard to win over Willa and Mitch. There is a lot of emotions being felt and I love when the characters speak to God and say prayers. I only gave this story four stars because we do not get the full story about Cactus. Also he acts very insecure and resentful when he is not considered the hero. It was a good story and I did like the ending.

Wow! This story of Cactus and Willa falling in love was wonderful. Very inspiring but not preachy. They are both wonderfully complex characters that one just can’t help but feel for. They both have to do a lot of soul searching to be ready to accept love again. It was also so nice to catch up with all the other family and see what is happening.

Cactus has some set backs personally. Willa has her own issues and is trying to start over. She gets a call her son needs her and she goes. She can only hope that when she gets back he will still be there for her. Her child brings things back for Cactus. This is an inspirational story. This is warm and the characters are wonderful. Liz Isaacson writes a great story and they are very inspirational. This has a great story line and wonderful characters.
