The Punishment Pit #7

Expecting it All

Rate this book
A brand-new standalone novel in the Punishment Pit World.

What happens when an age-play little gets pregnant?

She loved every part of being her Daddy’s baby—from the diapers, bottles, and snuggles to the naughty-girl spankings. But now, her real-life son was growing inside her and Rachel Parker had to come to terms with the idea of growing up into a woman—a mother.

It was inevitable that her pregnancy would change her marriage, but she hadn’t been prepared to lose her Daddy—her husband—her Dom. Derek was used to being in control of every aspect of her life, but there was no controlling the changes a tiny infant would have on their relationship.

Expecting it All takes a deep look into how having a baby might impact a BDSM age-play couple. It contains a scene the author loves to call “Three Doms and a Baby” that will have you cracking up between your tears.

This may be my favorite book in the series so far. I love seeing books where the HEA isn't the end of the book but the start, but it isn't all that common. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love a good HEA, but we all know that a HEA isn't the end.

I really like getting to see Derek and Rachel as they are taking the next big step in their lives. Going through all these changes are really hard on any relationship, and it is really easy for a couple to drift apart during these times. A relationship is real work, and we get to see Rachel and Derek putting in that work. We get to see how they each change and how they change as a couple.

Fabulous book.

I was wondering how Derek and Rachel were going to handle their Daddy Dom/lg relationship after they announced her pregnancy. I could only imagine all kinds of conflicting emotions, and Expecting It All confirmed that.

This waa actually a nice change up from the suspense of the previous books. This one was a little more laid back and lighthearted. I liked that we were given a more intimate look into the characters lives, specifically Derek and Rachel. I also liked that when delving into these new feelings, the focus wasn't just on Rachel as a little and a new mom, but also on Derek, as a Daddy Dom, and a new father.

Derek and Rachel struggle through those first few weeks as new parents, and work to reestablish their relationship. They ultimately discover they have to make adjustments, but they can make it work. It was nice to see Derek and Rachel be able to get back some of their original relationship, and the satisfaction it gave them both.

Then, we get to attend Lukus and Tiffany's wedding and get a glimpse in to the start of there honeymoon. Lukus has some surprises for Tiffany. That should be an interesting read. There is also a plus in that we get a peek into the next book with Lukus' sister Zoie. I can see that turning into all kinds of trouble. I do wonder if Zoie's story will involve Aidan, Josh, both, or someone new?

This book can be read as a standalone, but I think it is so much more satisfying if you read the first books in the Punishment Pit series. Then, reading this book is like visiting old friends.

I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Within my list of questions about BDSM or DD/lg lifestyles, this is one. How do DD/lg still satisfy their kink when the roles of real-life change? Livia Grant has laid out the scenario. Rachel is pregnant and wondering the same thing. Derek is her best friend, her husband, the baby's father, AND her Dom. Oh, and the situation is not something he can control. Livia exposes both points of view with all their insecurities. It was heartfelt, heartwarming, sometimes heartbreaking, and even humorous in spots. But these two have such intense love and tremendous respect for each other I couldn't help but root for the two of them to have their happily ever after with all it contains. I absolutely loved it. Now I'm waiting for 'Deceiving It All'.

Okay, I have to start this review with, it is fabulously written. I love all of this author's work and this is no exception. So, why the four-star rating, you might ask. Well, that's more on me than it is on the author.
As a reader, I'm fairly new to age play. I love the Daddy-little dynamic, especially when the authors really nail the characters and the dynamic. Ms. Grant does this, and if you're into the younger age play, this is seriously a book you will love.
I think for me, being new to this aspect of the DD-lg dynamic, taking a trip in little shoes was just a fraction uncomfortable. Again, this reflects on me personally, not the author!

I was so excited and surprised to see this additional book to the Passion series. This one is a bit shorter than the other books in the series and other than new baby excitement this book is drama free. This time we get to focus and Derek and Rachel as they begin their new life of parents. It takes some adjusting but they they are well on the way to figuring it all out. A very human look at how they dynamic has to change with you start a family.

I've often wondered how a couple can realistically continue to live an AP lifestyle after having children. Well, this is by far the best story I have read, that makes the reader understand how possible it really is. Daddy Derek and his baby girl Rachael learn to find the balance they need to raise their new son and still be true to their own needs. A really enjoyable story of learning how to have it all!

Finally more about Derek and Rachel!
I love this couple and was curious about how they would work their unique relationship into having a baby. And wow, the stories that will be coming from other characters is so exciting. I can't wait!

This book is another brilliant addition to the series, this time concentrating on Daddy Dom Derek and his wife and Baby girl, Rachel. Their relationship throughout the series has been so close and loving, both of them relishing the roles they are so happy with and each other -Rachel’s pregnancy, though wanted, has got them both wondering how things will change when they have a real life baby to care for and whether the dynamics of their marriage will survive. Will baby Michael’s birth end their lifestyle? There is an hilarious point in the book when Rachel leaves Derek with the baby to go to Tiff’s bridal shower - it ends up as three strong Dom’s and a baby! I thoroughly recommend reading this book - to be honest without having read this series I would not have picked up the book as the DD/Little relationship is not one that appeals, but I can honestly say that I feel I have learnt a lot.

This book gives us Derek and Rachel who engage in age play daddy/little. They are both quite comfortable in their roles until Rachel finds out news that changes things for both of them. This is where Ms. Grant really shines her gift for dealing with the emotions involved and how she shows us all sides of the situation. She really delves deep into the heart of the matter and tugs at your heartstrings as well as making you laugh she gives us the full gamut of emotions. This was a great addition to the series and really showcased Ms. Grant's talent for storytelling and making you feel the characters plight.I would definitely recommend this book as well as the previous books in this series. I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion of this book.

Three Men(Doms) and A Baby, hilarious comparison when you find them babysitting to give Rachel a break. "Get the kid happy before I get there." Life changes for Derek and Rachel when their son is born and just because you are a Dom, does not mean you are prepared for an infant. It's not a feeling that Derek likes. Rachel doesn't like it either, she's the baby of the family, how can she now take care of an infant and still be the baby? It's was nice to see Rachel stand up for herself and make a stand. I enjoyed this extra bonus book from this series, we get to see more of all the main characters and the beginnings of new ones.

With Derek and Rachel being pregnant and on the brink of having the baby.
I wanted to see how that would effect their dynamics.
It does sift and at times the distance between them grows.
So Derek must figure out a way to balance everything going on.
When to be a Daddy.
When to be a Dom.
And when to be Derek.
Rachel is feeling lost and unsure.
Also trying to figure out her role once her baby boy arrives.
It will take the strength of their love and trust to see them through their unsure times.
Although DD/lg isn’t my thing.
I really liked this book.
It’s sweet and sexy.
And had some hilarious moments.
I loved when Derek called his Dom friends for help.
One of the best scenes lol

Not for me

This book is Rachel and Derek's story. Their D/s relationship is different from the other ones. Theirs is based on age play. Derek is the Dom but Rachel plays as a little girl, with diapers and all. I guess I can't understand why some people would want to be treated like that but some people are into that type of lifestyle. This book also deals with how Rachel and Derek are trying to navigate their relationship while being new parents. The ending of the book was interesting but otherwise it wasn't for me.

I have not enjoyed or looked forward to another series as much as I have
with this exciting and educational series by Livia Grant. My knowledge of
BDSM has increased with all its nuances. Expecting It All did not have the
same level of intensity as the previous books, but this is not to say that I
did not enjoy it.

Derek was more than comfortable caring for his baby girl. She was his little.
His life. Nothing could prepare him for the feelings of despair and confusion
when faced with the change to their relationship after their son was born.
Derek's answer was to take a step back and let Rachel’s family take over.
Rachel missed her Daddy. She missed her Dom. She needed to be creative
to save an intrinsic part of their life together.

Derek's fears were palpable. They were intense. He felt helpless, and my
heart ached for him. With a little ingenuity and help from his friends, he
was able to take control once again.

I have to say that I am sad to see the end of such an amazing series. I will
have to be satisfied re-reading each book time and time again.

If you've read the Punishment Pit books then you'll be familiar with Derek and Rachel. Don't worry if you haven't as this can easily be read and enjoyed solo. Derek and Rachel, who are about to become parents, are in a DDlg lifestyle. This book follows them as they try to negotiate a way to be the best parents they can be, while still including the lifestyle they both need and love. This books follows them from the last stage of pregnancy into the first few months of parenthood. The Daddy Dom sub-genre is something that I find I either love or loathe but fully admit this book comes firmly into love. For starters, the strength of the relationship between Derek and his little girl is something everyone wants, not just in the BDSM world. Secondly, this book wasn't afraid to discuss some of the realities of the conflicts that could occur when lifestyle crashes full into changing circumstances. Well worth a read.

This is an absolutely wonderful story about how Derek as a Daddy Dom reacts to Rachel as his little. Both are excited and nervous about the new baby who will shortly enter their lives. Derek is concerned about how to be a Daddy to both Rachel and his new son. Rachel is worried about how she can remain Derek’s little, while also being a strong effective mother to her soon to be born child.

I love the way Livia Grant beautifully intertwines both of their concerns as well as the solutions they are able to facilitate. I love the way each of these partners carefully considers the needs and desires yearned by their mate. Watching these two loving people negotiate parenthood, along with their Daddy/little BDSM lifestyle is a pleasure worth reading.

I’ve loved this entire series. The couple that is focused on in this book, Derek and Rachel, always caught my eye because of their particular dynamic and I was so glad they got their own book. Derek is so stern with his little girl Rachel, but also protective and loving. And she eats it up. I honestly would have loved to have seen a book about them pre-pregnancy because I love this dynamic so much and Ms. Grant wrote it so well. It’s so real, like so many of Ms. Grant’s books are. Both Derek and Rachel are struggling with the changes and what it will mean for their dynamic and their future. The story she did write is heart wrenching and heart warming. I loved it. ❤️

The evolving dynamic of Derek and Rachel is fascinating to read about as her pregnancy progresses and they struggle with it. As they become parents and have to take on the new responsibility, my heart really went out to the both of them. That doesn’t stop me wanting a book entitled 4 Doms and a baby, though...
Although Expecting It All can be read as a stand alone, I would recommend reading the whole Punishment Pit series, too. Once again, this book has been spectacularly written and I absolutely loved it.

This book takes us back to Rachel and Derek, a Dom and his baby girl. Now Rachel is pregnant everything has changed. With enforced bed rest and no sex has Rachel lost her Daddy when she goes to the club she finds the answer. I am loving the whole series as the characters have their star and supporting roles the friendship and love just radiates though the pages, it makes me want read quickly but go slowly, fabulous. This is part of the Punishment Pit series, where Rachel and her husband Derek are expecting their first child. She is his Little to Derek's Daddy Dom...but now the dynamic is changing because soon there will be another person in the mix that Derek wouldn't be able to control...also there is the wedding of Lukus and Tiffany and an introduction to the next in the series starring Lukus' youngest sister....I voluntarily read this story through an Advanced Reader Copy.

So if you've wondered how a dd/lg dynamic works when you have kids, this is just the story for you. I have to say dd/lg is not my thing, but it was a good story about the changed faces by Rachel and Derek when she is expecting. It also gives intriguing hints at what is going to come next in Deceiving It All. Nice addition to the series.

This book gives you a quiet peace and happy feeling when you finish reading. The book was about Rachel and Derek having their baby and trying to put the romance D/lg back in their marriage. Also Lukus and Tiffany get married, which everyone said Lukus would never married, but he found the right lady. Enjoy

What happens when a Daddy and little become a Mommy and Daddy for real? This story is a great look into the evolving relationship Derek and Rachel's . I love the balance of uncertainty and instilling confidence that Livia brings to these characters. There is a lot of fun and still sexy times in this book! As always Livia feeds us tidbits that draw to new characters she has in the works! I love how Livia manages to find the right amount of fantasy and reality! Definitely excited to see what is coming next!
