United We Stand

Rate this book
Hugo Malalou must die.

Greyson Hirsch has carved a bloody path of destruction across America in his war against superheroes. Fully embracing the villainous persona of Damocles, he now dedicates himself to ridding the world of these “false messiahs.”

His next target is San Miguel’s own Aegis, known to friends and family as Hugo Malalou. By slaughtering Aegis and his team of Paragons, Damocles hopes to crush the symbolic face of this new generation of heroes.

Hugo is equally motivated to stopping Damocles’s reign of terror, bringing him closer to a shadowy powerbroker hellbent on burning the current world order to ashes.

But Hugo’s efforts are derailed when a close friend is corrupted by an ancient evil that could plunge San Miguel and beyond into nightmarish chaos. Now he is forced to make an impossible choice—stop Damocles or save his friend's life.

The only option this young hero has is to roll the dice, causing destructive consequences no matter what he chooses.

Aegis and Damocles finally collide in United We Stand, Book 6 of the bestselling Pantheon Saga. Grab your copy today.

I'm definitely enjoying the series and this book has a lot of surprises. The plots and action scenes are top notch, though I do think both Damocles & Hugo are way too overpowered. Regardless, can't wait for Age of Villains to come out!!......One complaint I have is that I can really do without all the teen drama. I think it takes away from the overall story for me. I miss Quinn and Geist and would love to hear more about Lady Liberty & Justice Jones' story. They're more interesting to me than the high school cliques and who's dating who and sleeping with who this week. Way too much sex and all night sleepovers for high schoolers, at least from when I grew up lol.

Outstanding. Well done CC. I was hoping this wasn’t going to be the last book in the series. Now I have to wait for the next installment.

There is a lot going on in this volume. Aegis vs Damocles round one and two is an instant classic. Hugo still has a lot to learn. He is still a player like his real dad and that might be detrimental to his superhero duties.

His supporting cast is just as interesting as he is. Always loved teamed superhero comic books. This volume had mythology, magic and even witchcraft. Quite a lot is going on. Glad to see Hugo’s best friend getting a promotion. Sorry but I can’t give away spoilers. You’ll just have to read it. Again this was very enjoyable.

A nice continuation of the story, and I thought this would be the ending of the series but no. This book of course ends with a cliffhanger and we have to wait til the end of the year to find out what happens. One thing I thought that was a little overboard was the magic subplot, and including Avalon and Excalibur. Another thing I found missing in the series is Geist and his team. I hope they return in future books, especially Geist. Overall, I'm enjoying the series and really look forward to the next book in the series.

10/10

I knew when the book came out that I would clear my schedule until I finished it. I enjoyed every moment of it, especially the relationship between Hugo and Jordana towards the end of the book. That was an unforeseen punch to the gut. I love how we get to see Hugo balance his personal and hero lifestyle. My only regret is that now I have to wait until the next book comes out

Hot Damn

I have been following along in this series now since the first. I love the way Mr. Ekeke plots and introduces new characters and arcs. Everything feels “grounded” from the perspective of the universe he’s created. Further, it feels grounded from the perspective of our protagonist. Yes, the stakes get higher, and power grows, but it feels organic as opposed to just magical mcguffins or wish fulfillment.

I’m a fan, and god damn I can’t wait to read more

Not sure why I read every syllable of this series

The story is so cliche it sometimes becomes painful to actually wade through. Tragically bad really. I was really hoping for something original and interesting, but this is basically just a radio serial from the 1930's. Cliffhanger after cliffhanger....the author's character development is somewhat solid, but that is about the only thing redeeming about this drivel.

united we groan: a bad superhero parody

This is one of the worst thus far. Nobody is likable, our villain has no morals and is a fool, and our superhero is a violent hot headed child with a violent temper. This guy is a teenager (to get that young adult branding), but he acts like a 25 year old man. Ekeke really needs to read Invincible or The Walking Dead to get what it means to make a parody of a well established genre.

Part of the plot unveils a Hogwarts-esque magic society that hadn’t even been hinted at in the first 5 books, and feels out-of-place in the universe. I hope the author gives leaves it in the bin as the saga continues. Other than that, is a solid entry to the series, and ends on a helluva cliffhanger.

Can't wait for the next one.

Bro. You killed it. Rival is the perfect villain. Fight scenes with greyson were amazing. In all into the personal drama. Want to know more about the witches. Keep up the good work.

This has devolved into just another comic book.

Every betrayal, every capture then escape, it is just a whole lot of chasing your tail and getting nowhere. The empty relationship drama from everyone cheating with everyone else. This has just turned into a big empty cliche.

Interesting twist!

Some things happened to Hugo that was crazy stuff, but he's still young, and idealistic that hopefully he will bounce back from it all. See what happens next I guess.
